Pain free car hire
We’ve hired from Cargest many times now. They are a fraction more expensive than the likes of Firefly and Malagacar but what makes them different is the speed and efficiency of pick up without any hard sell of added insurance, the quality and condition of the cars and a tendency to upgrade without extra charge. I always book a Seat Leon or equivalent and over the years I’ve been issued typically with a BMW 1 series. I’ve also had a BMW 4 series cabrio, a Jeep Compass.

Next time I will rent from Cargest again
Got a tip from a friend to rent from Cargest. The site is clear and straightforward. Waiting for the car took almost half an hour, probably because my flight was delayed. The car (Seat Ibiza) drove perfectly and returning it went very smoothly and quickly. Next time I will rent from Cargest again.

Everything was going smooth
Everything was going smooth and the pickup point was near by the airport. By delivery of the car it was not complete clear that you got no delivery paper with no damage etc. We made pictures that the car was in the depot to have some evidence that the car was deliverd.

A pro-customer (rather than anti-customer) Car Rental agency
Having heard plenty of horror stories from others regarding car rentals, I am delighted that CarGest took the anxiety out of renting a car for me. From the start, they were not pushy on upselling insurance products to me, since my normal rate was "fully insured." This policy was put to the test when my rental car was hit from behind by another car. In all my intereactions with CarGest employees regarding this accident, they were understanding and helpful; paperwork was minimized and it was a piece of cake when I returned the slightly-damaged car. With this excellent experience, I will be booking with CarGest for all my future car rentals in Spain and elsewhere where they are present.

New car, quick processing for both pickup and return. In one word TOP!
A tip for Cargest: although it is not legally required, buy the low-emission zone sticker for 6 euros anyway and stick it on the windscreen. It prevents a lot of stress for the renter and avoids arguments with the police in cities where the physical sticker is mandatory.

Regarding the sticker, we really appreciate your advice and will take it on board, but we want to put your mind at rest: virtually all car hire fleets, including ours, are authorised to drive in low-emission zones.
As these are new vehicles, the authorities already assume they comply with environmental regulations, even if they do not have the physical sticker on the windscreen. This is something the police already take into account with hire cars.
