I recently purchased a gtec surface from carpet gallop, it’s wonderful !! The horses love it !! What ever the weather the surface is lovely to ride on, from dressage horses, show jumpers and just broken young stock, they all work very well on my carpet gallop gtec surface.
Mark and his team at Carpet Gallop, I found to be very knowledgeable, approachable and wanting the best for their customers and Carpet Gallop grounds work team are lovely, punctual, clean and tidy and respectful of providing a top quality surface and service. We had a slight delay in the delivery of my surface, due to the UK HGV driver shortage, Mark informed me daily on the progress of my delivery and went the extra miles to make sure he found a reliable Hgv company to get me my Menage surface quickly, as he had been let down by the haulier. Thank you Mark and team at Carpet Gallop.

Carpet Gallops staff are the most helpful and lovely people. The many questions and enquiries we had for them, they never failed to answer back with detailed and informative answers and always make sure they made the best effort to help in any way they could. We have chatted to them on the phone a few times now and they could not have been more helpful and friendly.
We got they Gtech Combi surface. They were super at informing us when the loads should be delivered so we had enough time to arrange the unloading and spreading etc which was amazing. The bags were full to the top with a brilliant quality surface! Both layers were rolled once they were spread.
What a surface!! I cannot believe the difference it has made for safety of riders and comfort for the horses. I ride 4 horses on it everyday and it hasnt needed any more maintenance since it was laid first which is brilliant. The horses are all so relaxed and comfortable on it especially as one suffers with a splint and he has never been in better form since we got the new surface. And I feel so much safer as a rider on it.
I am absolutely delighted with the service Carpet Gallop have provided to us and I would recommend highly to anyone looking to resurface an arena or starting fresh to go with Carpet Gallop. They are always there to give any advice and guide you on which of their surfaces is the best fit for you!

Excellent Service, Staff were extremely helpful and flexible as I was having difficulties with accepting deliveries on suggested days but they were extremely accommodating. My GTECH surface is amazing and my horses love it!!!

Contaminated product sold by crooks!!!!!!!!Please please please just avoid this company and save yourself thousands buying this product and thousands having to remove it. Do some serious research and see through the fake reviews.

Poor customer service, if you have a problem they are most unhelpful. I was supplied insufficient surface it took 18months to get them to come out for a site visit, once they did I was told I wasn't given enough or the right topper. I was quoted a price to top it up at full price despite not being given the correct amount in the first place. The quality of the carpet is extremely poor and I have since been advised not to ride on it now I am left with a terrible surface which is going to cost me alot to replace. The owner is extremely rude, pushy and most unhelpful!

Very happy with our surface and the customer service. Helpful pleasant office staff, excellent delivery driver and the surface is great.

We find our surface very good and easy to maintain and when we had issues with installation by a second party , carpet gallop them self stepped in and helped resolve it and all worked out great

Carpet Gallop were amazing right from the get go. I was not sure what I wanted but they took the time to ask me what I wanted and suggested what worked best. The whole process from buying to laying was incredible. I’m absolutely thrilled with the outcome.

Excellent customer service. I am very pleased with my arena surface. The fibre is very hard wearing and my arena can be used 12 months of the year as the fibre doesn't freeze. Highly recommended.

The team at Carpet Gallop have been great. I appreciate that COVID has caused issues with supply. I think this is due to their suppliers being closed for three months. They kept me informed and delivered when they said they would.

I would not usually post such disparaging reviews of someone else’s business however I am unsure how anyone could get away with the supply of an equestrian surface which quite frankly is DANGEROUS, TOXIC and NOT FIT FOR USE is beyond me, and given you cant have a horse for sale fart in the wrong wind direction without horse dealers being slated and given opinions on these days, I thought I would write my own review of a very dodgy equestrian SURFACE dealer.

EVERYTHING I AM WRITING IS FACT AND SHOULD SERVE AS A WARNING TO ANYONE PUTTING A SCHOOL OR SURFACE IN!
I have run a riding school for the past 10 years and have spent at least 20 hours of those weeks walking up and down areans. I would like to think I know surfaces, how they change with the weather, ways of going, and have even unwittingly eaten some, so I am quite the expert. I am quite at home in sand, you could say, although at this time of year I prefer the sand to be of the beach variety.

Because of the heavy and repetitive use riding school surfaces get, I have used have needed topping up and at I have completely redone at least one arena. I have always used professionals to do this and have always used and recommended the same supplier of equestrian surfaces, who has been fantastic.

When I decided I was going to downsize my business in April this year I moved to a much smaller property. The school was 20 years old and needed replacing.

We obtained quotes and were very happy with one contractor (who I have to say has been fantastic through this entire palaver) We asked for top grade silica sand and fibre surface. This is what I have used previously and has been fantastic. It is perfect for the use that my schools get.

The contractor was recommended CARPET GALLOP UK and dealt with the supplier direct. He was assured it was exactly the same as the fibre surface I had used previously.

It was then delivered.

Firstly, it stunk, of fish.

It was not what was ordered. You can read the reviews of what lurks amongst the chopped up carpet, as my contractor is not the only person who has been COMPLETELY HAD by this company. There’s an entire facebook group devoted to what you get as an added bonus to your thousands of pounds worth of surface…but we found car parts, some spikey wood, bits of window, and some southern fried chicken wrappers. Had I known what he was ordering, I could have done my homework… but I didn’t and in the contractors defence when you google the reviews there’s a load of positive ones. Which is odd given how bad it is.

The CARPET GALLOP UK surface is not safe for horses, children, dogs, chickens or whatever. DON’T BUY IT. EVER.

It is so bad, in fact, I wouldn’t bury my worst enemy in it….even if they had died first, because no one deserves that level of undignified end….even the crook that supplies this surface on the false promise that it is “The favoured surface of Mark Todd” (I am sure Mark Todd would be delighted his name is being used to sell chopped up and contaminated rubbish with a chicken nugget side dish) wouldn't deserve to rest amongst the filth they supplied us with.

It is UNSAFE. It is CONTAMINATED and will harm people and horses. If not with the random rubbish in it, but with the smell or the possible lice that you will get if you have misfortune to fall of your into it.

I have photos and videos. Just don’t buy it. Save your money, send it to me now and ill go to the Bahamas. Many thanks.

Anyway its off of the arena. Thank God. Its still here, in a fishy rotting have pile, and if the dodgy Carpet Gallop Man called Mark doesn't arrange collection when he said he will I have great plans for my own return of his fishy stinking contaminated grot bag surface.

And we are getting the surface I recommended in the first place….

We received our order when it was promised and the delivery driver was absolutely brilliant 5* on time and very helpful even though it was dark and late. Can’t thank him enough.

Carpet gallop have been great from start to finish we really needed out training arena finished off, and carpet gallop delivered on time and even helped us to lay our surface

Love our surface. It has enabled us to keep riding all year round even in the deepest of snow and treacherous ice. Fast delivery. Easy to install and good value for money. Low maintenance. Polite friendly helpful team. A must for anyone who doesn’t want to spend thousands on hard sand that freezes.

Now I realise some people have had a good experience with this company, mostly from the racing and high competitive circuit , lucky them, but a lot more ' normal ' people like me have had a totally different experience as have many other people I know. I have hundreds of photos and videos to prove how bad my arena is that they took 25 weeks to build last year, instead of the 4 quoted -and of the contaminated surface that was supplied . They fobbed me off with an inadequate job , broke deadlines,didnt finish the job or offer to replace the surface left my field in a mess strewn with rubble and damaged my property . I tried court but the company they told me to pay , Emerald Trading went into administration,This year they bought their own product name back and are still selling the same surfaces with the same people, website phone number and facebook page despite owing money to a list of creditors.
This should have been my dream arena, a' flagship' they said ' best arena in the area' but it is a shambles and I'm having to sift out the rubbish by hand because I cannot use it for fear of injury or afford to replace it .
They say they didnt finish the job because I didnt pay the balance, but it's the other way round ! who in their right mind would pay for an unfinished useless product that they didnt even come to look at or offer to put right and risk them never coming back to sort it!
This experience has ruined my life to the extent I am thinking of giving up horses and I wouldnt wish the same on anyone. AVOID

I now have two friends who are in dispute with this company. They cannot post anything online as yet as they are issuing legal proceedings. Please, please join the group on Equestrian Scammers Disputes to see all of the people who have had major issues with the Company, please check Companies House and avoid other companies run by the same people. As well as the company Emerald Waste Trading Ltd which is now in Administration. A quick google should give you all the info you need! BEWARE and make sure if you are paying you can get your money back when you either don’t get delivery, fibre is hugely contaminated (then will cost you double to dispose of) or you receive no where near the amount quoted for!

Has improved an older rubber surface no end! Really brought life back into the surface and helped with both its rideability and how the surface copes with weather and use. Horses move very well on the surface too.

Both horse and rider benefit from this fantastic surface. Not only is it sustainable and environmentally friendly being from fully recycled material, but it leaves us both with a spring in our step. No more boggy patches in the arena, easy to maintain and great coverage. Would recommend
