No help whatsoever. There's no need for me to even explain my review, there are so many others who have already said the same thing I'm going through with my so-called warranty. Very sad.

Great experience!

The staff at Cars Protection Plus has been wonderful to work with. My contact person,
Kim, has been friendly, helpful and diligent in assisting with my claim. I can’t say enough about how supportive the company has been for me in an otherwise frustrating experience.

## Request for Explanation on Refund…

## Request for Explanation on Refund Issuance
Dear Cars Protection Plus INC,

Re: Refund Issuance and Contract Ownership

I am writing to request an explanation regarding the issuance of my refund to LENHERR Auto Sales LLC, despite being the owner of the contract. As per the contract terms, I have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions stated on the service contract application.

The contract language clearly states that the service contract application becomes my service contract upon approval, and I am the certified owner of the contract. Given this, I am confused as to why the refund was issued to the dealership instead of me directly.

As the contract owner, I would like to know how the refund was processed and why it was sent to the dealership, who was no longer the owner of the contract once I purchased it. I would appreciate it if you could provide a clear explanation for this decision and take immediate action to resolve this issue.

Specifically, I request that you:

1. Explain why the refund was issued to the dealership instead of me.
2. Provide documentation supporting the decision to issue the refund to the dealership. 3. I would like information on how much the check was for when the check was sent and when the check was cash and who cashed the check.
4.Take immediate action to reissue the refund directly to me, Louise Fields, as the rightful owner of the contract. 5. I would also like an explanation why customer service in your representatives are very disrespectful and keep hanging up the phone in my face.

I look forward to your prompt response and resolution and the answer that you gave me that it is out of your hands it’s ridiculous.

Sincerely,
Louise Fields ‎

CPP racked up a bill and left us hanging

Too bad you can't leave zero stars.
You get a warranty to cover you from unforeseen things.
When the transmission started shifting badly a week after we bought a used truck, initially Cars protection said it was covered, had the shop keep checking this, now that, now something else, racked up quite a labor bill, to then deny the claim based on it being a "pre-existing condition". The condition was not reported on Car Fax. Thus we could not know it. They called all of the service providers from before we owned the vehicle to find the "pre-existing condition". In the end, I got to pay for all of the un-needed labor they ordered, plus the repair. WORTHLESS warranty!

Very Poor Customer Service and Long Wait Times

I’m extremely disappointed with Cars Protection Plus. Every step of the process has been frustrating, starting with the long wait times—both for me as the customer and for the repair shop. It takes forever to get someone on the line, and when you do, the experience is not professional.

One particular situation was unacceptable: a representative who spoke Spanish refused to assist my wife because she doesn't speak "perfect" Spanish. She speaks Portuguese fluently, and since Spanish and Portuguese share nearly 90% similarity, communication was entirely possible. There was no need for the lack of courtesy and unwillingness to help.

Overall, the claim handling was slow, unhelpful, and lacking in respect. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

was told the coverage was bumper to…

was told the coverage was bumper to bumper when I bought the plan. I took my truck in to have 5 things repaired. they declined all 6 and out of the `14K it cost to repair they said they would cover 400 dollars. this company is not good and just a money grab. I have been trying to cancel my service every since and it is a nightmare.

Waste of money and time.

Do not waste your money on this extended warranty. They are extremely hard to get ahold of when you do need to leave a claim, their customer service is horrible, and as a customer they treat you like trash. They do not handle business in a timely manner and then they are slow with getting answers to the mechanic shop you are working with.

This company is nothing but a scam

This company is nothing but a scam. I run a repair facility and had a customer come in for a bad transmission in his car everything was well within his warranty.had just bought the vehicle 20 days prior and only had 400 miles on it and yet they denied the repair.why because they requested a picture of the transmission with the pan off to see if there was damage so we did provide them this picture and no you couldn’t see damage and because of this they denied the claim well I have been a mechanic for 20 years and when the transmission will only shift 1st and 2nd gear I’m pretty sure the transmission is bad. So if you plan on using this company for coverage look somewhere else they will just take your money

SCAMMERS, THIEVES, LIARS AND WICKED PEOPLE

SCAMMERS, THIEVES, FRAUDSTERS
If you’re reading this and you’re trying to decide whether you should buy this warranty or not, RUN FOR YOUR DEAR LIFE. If you just bought it and are within 1 year, PLEASE TRY TO ASK FOR A REFUND QUICKLY AND RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
Where do I begin? I had such a terrible experience with this company, I would not recommend my enemy to buy anything from them even if it is for free. That is how wicked, heartless and callous this company is.
I am angry and disappointed at my dealer for even recommending this company to me at all. How can they even do business with such a useless and fraudulent company. I regret buying this warranty ever.
I had issues with the transmission of my 2014 Chevrolet traverse. My mechanic opened the claim and after 5 weeks of going back and forth, providing all the information they needed, they denied my claim. Yes, I am putting myself out here so they can know it is me, Paul, writing this review.
They told me they denied my claim because my mechani already rebuilt the transmission, which is a LIE. They are willing and ready to do everything they can to avoid paying anything.
They don’t care for the customer. Here are a couple of the hellish experiences I went through and may await you if you decide to use them:
- They take forever to pick their calls and sometimes the calls hang up after too much waiting. If you leave a voicemail, they will never return your calls.
- They have a limit to an amount they can pay for your car (this was conveniently left out in the contract or T&C). They use another system to value your car, much lower than the amount you paid for it and that’s the maximum they say you can get (that’s if you ever get anything)
- They make you jump through hoops to prove you have a legit claim. My mechanic sent them codes for failure, they were not satisfied. They further asked for pictures to prove the transmission failed. This required a tear-down and it was sent to them multiple times. It took about 4 days before they received the pictures. After the pictures were sent, they asked for inspection. Mind you, all this while I am carless and stuck. All this back and forth to fix a car transmission.
- They don’t cover rental for the time your car is in the shop. So, goodluck if you don’t have a second car or don’t live in an area where there is public transport.
- After inspection of the car, they denied my claim and did not give me a single dollar to cover it. This took up to 4 weeks.
- They said the mechanic went ahead to rebuild the transmission without authorization. Useless people, how can the mechanic go ahead and rebuild the transmission if me (the customer) or the warranty company did not authorize it?
My sincere condolences to all their customers. Worst of all, I feel for the staff who work for this kind of company

I would just say stay clear of this…

I would just say stay clear of this company that breaks contract and is not worth the irritation you will encounter or the money they will not return even though they do not honor the agreement. It’s fraudulent to say the least.

DO NOT get coverage from these people…

DO NOT get coverage from these people because t=it barely covers anything unless you have level 4, which is another car payment. The customer service reps leave you on hold forever, the adjustors won't return calls, and the list goes on. I am currently in the process of canceling mines for a prorated amount since I just signed the contract in January.

Will not cover seepage?

Purchased the extended warranty. Had an axle leak which after almost 4 weeks they agreed to fix and covered. 1 month later dealer discovered a timing cover leak and they will not cover. They report it is seepage not a drip, really? Obviously, they just had to cover a repair and now are not covering this new issue. Terrible customer service and would beware if you purchased this plan.

They are criminals. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE

If you have made it this far in search of who Cars Protection Plus is and what kind of company they are…..you obviously see how they’re scamming Americans and I can’t believe a company in this great nation is able to do this and stay in business. They are crooks. Take them to Court. You will win. Better yet. Help me spread the word. They have almost single handedly put me under financially. Good luck. O-stars

Definitely deserves ZERO stars

Definitely deserves ZERO stars! I purchased a vehicle with this as the warranty they do not communicate with customer dropped the ball and forgot to ship my transmission and all they said was sorry. The sent a defective transmission and I had to find a shop to diagnose the defective transmission. They only want to pay $75 per hour for labor cost. This is after they sent the defective transmission so I had to find a transmission shop. I am hiring an attorney because they are wrong on all levels. I just can't believe this company is allowed to constantly be in business. The company still have not communicated with me about the status of my vehicle for one full month I have had wait and call the transmission shop about status of the vehicle. DO NOT PURCHASE this warranty and do not purchase a vehicle from any dealer that uses them as a warranty. TRULY TRASH

I’d give it zero stars if I could

I’d give it zero stars if I could. I spent $2500 for the very best warranty or so I was told when it came time to make a claim they paid $250 of a $2000 bill. I spoke to customer service, who is incredibly rude to me and informed me this is not a warranty but it is a service assistance contract. I am in the process of trying to get my money back or at least some of it from the $2500 waste. I have just spent I’d be better off just paying for services and repairs from out of my own pocket. Do not buy this “warranty” aka service assistance contract.

$2500 warranty cost me $4300

Paid 2500$ for warranty, connecting rod broke so needed a new motor, got 2 quotes and the lowest was 5k, claim submitted and and I had to pay an additional 1800$ pretty good racket I pat 4300 and they pay 700 currently gonna take to small claims where no attorney can assist. 2/26 called about my reimbursement for towing and car rental and company claimed they paid the dealer and that don't mail check other then to the dealers so make that 4600 for the 2500 warranty, customer service is really bad l.

I purchase a silver-level warranty in…

I purchase a silver-level warranty in March 2024. The first time that I needed to use the warranty was January 2025 when I needed to replace a NOX sensor on my GMC Sierra. These folks of course denied the claim so I have cancelled the warranty and now waiting to see how bad they hose me on a refund for the unused portion. Garbage warranties - do not waste your time or $
