CD Baby offers one thing: distribute your music, and does it well. I can't give 5 stars just yet because my package hasn't arrived, and won't till May 22 (my chosen date). But, for a distributor... See more

About CD Baby
Written by the company
Music distribution is about getting your songs in front of the most people possible. That’s why over a million independent creators worldwide use CD Baby to release their music across all major digital streaming platforms like Spotify, TikTok and YouTube Music.
CD Baby makes releasing music affordable— all our distribution services for just a one-time fee of $9.99 per release, whether it's a single or an album. And whenever we add a new digital retail partner, your music catalogue will be delivered to them free of charge.
Many music distributors claim to offer free music distribution but charge additional per-retailer fees, annual subs fees, cancellation fees, and all kinds of hidden add-ons and upsells for additional services. CD Baby has no recurring subscription fees, so you don’t have to worry about us ever taking down your music if you miss a payment (there are no payments!)
CD Baby also offers Mechanical and Digital Performance Royalty collection and Sync Licensing as part of our Boost service, as well as our Stages program for emerging artists. Stages offers a suite of valuable artist services, moving with you as your artist career advances and unlocking new opportunities such as expedited release inspection, DSP playlist pitching, and more.

That was like fast forward process
That was like fast forward process. Single was ready to be released in about a day after submitted.
Good experience for beginners
Good experience for beginners and learned a lot about what the process includes and latest terms and how they relate to social media and tracked.
There is basically no help available
There is basically no help available. The online bot help was less than satisfactory.
Takes forever to get music available for release.
I like CD baby.
I am writing to express my deep frustration
I am writing to express my deep frustration with their service. I paid $9.99 to have a single song uploaded, which is a WAV file, yet the upload process fails repeatedly. Despite my efforts, the problem remains unresolved.
What makes this situation even more disappointing is the complete lack of proper customer support. There is no contact number, no live chat, and no direct email available to get assistance. Instead, all you offer are generic articles that may or may not relate to the issue at hand, which is simply unacceptable.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and reflects very poorly on this company.
Long-time customer
I've used CD Baby for over two decades now. They make things very easy for an independent, unsigned artist just trying to get music out to people.
CDBaby - Great Digital Distributor
Easily the best of the Digital Distributors in my humble opinion.
Awesome service
A great tool to use to get your music released to all platforms at a reasonable price. That also offers other tools to help promote your music. Their team works for you And with you to ensure your release is distributed how you're looking for it to be.
Urgent: Ticket #5213570 - UPC 823000235872 stuck on "Delivery Requested" since April 10th
My release (UPC 823000235872) has been stuck on "Delivery Requested" for Spotify, Deezer, and other DSPs since April 10th. It was delivered only to YouTube Music. All my other releases go through without issues, meaning this specific release is glitched in the ingestion queue. I sent a formal complaint and was told my request was escalated, but I still have no human response or solution after weeks of waiting and sending multiple complaints. As a paying customer who prefers CD Baby’s "pay once" model, I need a human agent to manually trigger a Global Re-delivery for this UPC immediately. Please fix this metadata/delivery loop as soon as possible. Ticket #5213570
Super easy to use and understand
Super easy to use and understand! Everything was clear, concise, and the emails sent alongside everything were super helpful.

My release came out everywhere with zero audio. I contacted support at least 4 times trying to get help but still no answer 3 days later. I’ve cancelled the release and will be using a different company moving forward.
Trusted this website
You are awesome.
I appreciate when you guys only accept certain songs. It makes me want to do better. You guys have a bunch of tools I should be using. And just thank you.
many problems with homonyms
I'm having a lot of problems with homonyms across various platforms. Releases are mixed up and even profiles have disappeared. And despite all the bureaucracy involved in identifying artists and releases, I don't see CD Baby helping me with this.
I like the pricing model which works…
I like the pricing model which works for artists with few or irregular libraries. But the support has been poor. After a week we still have no access to Apple artist page and your support has been no help at all.
Very efficient and cost effective
