Ordered 8 magazines (Popeye, Go Out, Vogue, Lee) and with the FedEX ICIP delivery to the UK on 09/01/26. Items arrived extremely well packaged on 16/01/26.

Would have no hesitation to use them again and I would recommend them.

I collect a lot of Japanese issue cds, and usually buy from overpriced sellers on e bay etc, and didn't even know about cdjapan until a google search, so thought I'd give them a try, after becomming tired of being ripped off on ebay.
I pre ordered a cd a few months before release, and purchased 2 others, and was well aware they wouldnt be sent until they all became available. Cdjapan have an easy to use app which is available to download, which I used.
The cds were sent on the day the pre ordered one was released, perfectly packaged, and brand new, so much better than any UK seller I've used, tracked postage took about a week. I was so impressed with cdjapan, I've already placed another order, and the prices were almost half of what they charge on ebay. With very fair postage options as well.

I used CDJapan for the first time to pre-order a CD release only available in Japan. The company's customer service took the time to notify me by email of when the pre-order page was live on their site, after enquiring about if they would stock the album.

The ordering process was relatively simple, and the CD arrived only 5 days after the release date (considering the regional distance) - with super fast delivery after dispatch by DHL.

The CD was packaged-well, with it protected by bubble wrap and tissue paper inside of a solid cardboard mailer.

Highly recommended company for importing any Japan-exclusive CDs.

OMG, I had such a great experience with CDJapan! I ordered items on Sunday evening and the package was delivered on Thursday in Hungary, Central Europe. (Japan-Hong Kong-Bahrein-Rome-Leipzig-Budapest-my city in 4 days by DHL). I didn't have to pay any duty. Items are as described. Super satisfied!

I got charged over 30 additional euros after over a year, and got told afterwards that shipping cost has increased. I was provided the option to cancel, which I took. I then was refunded it points, that have an expiration date, because „they can’t refund after 180 days“ and they refuse to work with me to find any good solutions. I cannot recommend ever using this service again, if money and seriousness is to any important to you, because you will get ripped off, especially since there are better and cheaper shops like Hobbysearch available, who don’t charge you immediately on preorders.

I've been buying from CD Japan for more than 10 years. They used to provide good services, but these have gone downhill recently. Three of my recent orders were not authorized to be admitted by Brazilian customs, as the incompetent people at CD Japan were unable to fill out the invoice correctly. Furthermore, I received terrible service from a lady who works at that company, who mockingly and rudely said that the problem was "with my government". I was forced to pay new shipping to receive the orders, all due to mistakes made by the incompetent people at CD Japan.

I use this website mostly to purchase japanese handmade brushes and have been using it for 10 year. The customer service is not the kindest, but there usually is no issue luckily, and the bruses are high quality and well done. I always have to pay import duties, sadly, which make the cost levitate.

I bought a CD which CDJapan lists as "Cardboard sleeve (Mini-LP)", when in fact it was a regular CD-sized digisleeve. CDJapan blamed the manufacturer (Warner Music) for the mistake. Warner Music DID list the CD as a standard size one, but CDJapan STILL hasn't corrected their mistake.

Customer service people are rude and not helpful, and do not communicate well in English.

In my previous review, I can’t order without validation code through US phone format due to living overseas. I requested a refund because one of my items, in my previous order, is cancelled due to out of stock. The help guide says it’s possible, but CDJapan said because they cancelled the item a month after finalizing my previous order, they won’t refund and, instead, gave be points. They even showed receipts with a link of another help guide. I can’t do anything with points while unable to make any orders. I requested points to move to a different account, but the store also declines to do that. Other than contacting my bank to resolve, this store lets me waste my money on a cancelled item for NOTHING! Don’t blame yourself if this happens to you. You know who to blame.

I ordered a crafts magazine and the price and shipping was cheaper than Amazon Japan and yesasia.com.I was very satisfied with the delivery within 10 days by DHL express !

Placed an order on January for a pre order item and waited until May for it to ship. Notified last minute that my post office mislabeled my address as non existant even though I never had issues like this before and am always notified of packages before they even arrive.

Was relieved to see they offered to ship the item again and I replied within the hour. Shortly after they said they sold it to someone else. I don't understand the point of the email if they planned on listing it again? At least they refunded the cost of the item minus shipping.

Never buying from CD Japan lol. I prefer AmiAmi or Mandarake, Buyee, Mercari Japan. Literally anything BUT CDJapan. It was a last resort as the item was sold out. Overpriced in CD Japan with shipping that is horrible. Love that scalpers get to benefit off things like this.

I've been a customer since 2014. CDJapan is my go-to retailer for Japanese CDs/vinyl. You can listen to samples of most albums and I find their prices to be very reasonable. A proxy shopping service is available for finding out-of-print releases. Orders are carefully packaged and you have a choice of shipping options. Delivery takes just a few days to the U.S., in my experience. I highly recommend CDJapan.

I love shopping at CD Japan, the store has an incredible variety of Japanese products that I love, shipping is always fast and their service is excellent!
