Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with various products, reporting issues such as products not absorbing well, leaving white stains, or causing skin irritation like burning, stinging, itching, and redness. Some customers also found certain products ineffective for their specific skin concerns, like eczema or dry skin, and noted that some items had a chemical smell or a poor texture. However, some people were satisfied with the products, finding them effective for hydrating skin, clearing breakouts, or fading hyperpigmentation. A few other people also felt that certain products made their skin soft and helped with scars, with some even stating that these products were more effective than prescribed creams.

I love CeraVe's moisturizers and cleansers. I live in a desert climate, and these have saved my skin. However, their sunscreens are absolutely terrible. Thick, don't absorb well, leave white stains on... See more

Best moisturiser I have ever used for my acne prone, combination skin. The only problem is that it's not cruelty free so I no longer use it but if you don't mind that then I really reccomend

Cerave SA cream still no visible results

I find Cerave Sa cream to be ineffective for keratosis. I thought salicylic acid was supposed to atleast somehting. Though I gave 3 rating only for it's moisturization. Undoubtedly it's a great body moisturizer for me but didn't help with anything else

I love their resurfacing retinol serum

I don't know why they have such a poor ratings here. I have using resurfacing retinol serum for a few months now and I absolutely adore it! Though the purging phase was unbearable but in the end everything got better. Only retinol that actually worked for my skin. I brought it after seeing so many good reviews. At 1st I was terrified by the purging but soon it got far better.

This product is exactly what my skin…

This product is exactly what my skin needed. I suffered with acne and couldn't find the right products, now everything I use is from cerave. It's been over a year now, I'm so grateful for this product and am sorry for those who've not had the same results.

CeraVe is counterproductive for sensitive skin.

I have used this product off and on for a few years... however, i noticed while using the moisturizer cream that epilating my legs, i end up with more ingrowns and strawberry legs...

i originally got it because i have dry legs... and figured this would work during the winter itches... well, this didn't turn out as well as planned... as i found my self compulsively applying more and more...

i have sensitive skin on many places of my body and face... so i thought this would help with my pits... as it would end up feeling irritated after shaving... after a few months after i stopped using them on my pits they are not only irritated but super itchy for the first day...

i only got negative effects from this product... and i am thinking of tossing the rest of the jar as it has only caused more issues...

i read on other posts Aveeno may be a better alturnative... i may resort to that.

Thanks CeraVe for giving me drier skin than i already had.

Hydrating mineral sunscreen SPF 50

My sister bought the broad spectrum SPF 50 face sunscreen at target. She went home, use it.. But her faces looked blue. Keep in mind, she is dark skinned. So she used it again, it looked blue.. yes, blue. So if you don’t know, now yk that a good thump rule of sunscreen is to use your two fingers to measure the amount. So at this point, she realized that this sunscreen made her changed colour. She gave it to me, but the reason why I took it, it’s because I wear makeup so it wouldn’t show. As I said, the thump rule of sunscreen is the two finger thingy thingy and that would be a lot. My sister doesn’t do the thump rule thou, so it could rub out easily. I kid you not, all of my face is literally covered in white cast.(I wish I could upload a photo) I have to use my wash cloth and wipe my hairline, lips, jawline and eyebrow. I have to then try to wipe it with a full force (my hands) but obviously it’s gonna still give you a white case look. As I said, I wear makeup. So I didn’t had a problem using this product but- not everyone wears makeup! I don’t know if it’s okay on light skin or white skin but not for brown/dark skin people. If you gonna wear makeup under the product, ig u can purchase it🤷🏾‍♀️

Love their PM Face Moisturizer, Rough & Bumpy Skin, and Eye Repair Cream

I love that this brand can be found in the grocery store. I love that regardless of which product I am using, none of them are greasy, and none of them irritate my sensitive skin. I swear by CeraVe Rough & Bumpy Skin, as I have KP, especially on my legs and arms. The Rough & Bumpy Skin lotion help reduce the bumps to make my skin soft and smooth to the touch. I also faithfully use the PM Facial Moisturizer, and Eye Repair. My husband and daughter use the AM Facial Moisturizer with SPF, which was highly recommended by my daughter's dermatologist.

Absolutely pathetic

I got the moisturiser the hydrating blue one I got this initially to help my acne and reduce dry skin after I had a shower not shaving my face or using any other products just applied the cream when my face was dry my face started to become really red and burning my skin I used cold water and ice to stop it reduce it nothing worked I was horrified as on the cream on the back it said it doesn’t burn and is very good and I have seen multiple people online saying the exact same thing I would definitely not recommend and say this is a waste of money and wrecks and burns your skin I will never buy this product or from the person who made this product ever again!

Foaming facial cleaner: HORRIBLE

BAD THINGS:
1. First of all I used this as a facial cleanser at night and end the morning and it worked out HORRIBLY!! My face broke out and was all red and dry. I thought that maybe it had a bad reaction to my skincare/makeup but NOPE! When I didn't put anything on except this (because it was a Sunday) the same thing happened!
2. It turns out that CeraVe tests it's products on animals which is a HUGE no for me, but unfortunately I figured that out after I purchased it. It is now in the garbage can waiting for the dump truck to arrive. I told all my friends/family about it and they are now not buying it again due to that reason.
3. The foaming facial cleaner doesn't even foam! It just kind of bubbles up in your hands but leaves most of it in the same gooey state, which doesn't really go into your skin very well. I had to purchase a soap-foamer on amazon because it was so sticky. (Link to it at the bottom)
4. After using this my face was still oily and not clean, so I noticed no visible difference except that my fake broke out and turned red.

GOOD THINGS:
1. Very attractive packaging
2. The pump doesn't come off like other soaps sometimes do

TIPS FOR Y'ALL:
For those who have sensitive skin (like me and children) I think you should make a CeraVe KIDS version that is not as strong and is gentler.

SOAP FOAMER:
(I couldn't add a link but it is called a MARSHMALLOW WHIP MAKER on amazon)

No help from Customer service .

No one answers the phone in customer service. The pump lid on my bottle is missing the tube at the bottom and I can't use it without it. Can't report it after many many tries. They call it the pissed off customer line . I wasn't pissed until I called it and got one ring then a hang up 10 dang times! One guy asked my name then hung up . One it went straight to the survey of how my service was so I gave it bad reviews but before I could finish I was disconnected.

DONT go down their rabbit hole!!!

They're an American company. They don't care about Canadian customers.
If you have sensitive or eczema prone skin I highly DONT recommend this product. It leaves dry patches if you don't use it daily. It stings on contact. Even their sensitive skin brand. It's actually left what looks like burn marks on my skin around my eyes. Contacted the company and I got told to ask my dermatologist for other samples... thanks for caring... NOT.
I will not be purchasing this ever again. I'm going back to ivory soap and GLAXAL cream!!! Cheaper and much safer for anyone's skin. I wouldn't be surprised if their brand leads to some type of skin cancer

Dry skin because of CeraVe

I have normal skin and normally don't react very often to skin products. I wanted to try something new and tried the moisturizer and cleanser from CeraVe. In 2 days my skin was dry, red and itchy. What a disappointement.
