Awful

Awful, Biden information about airport transfers. I never pick a flight from different airports. Guess this will need to be the first time. Didn't see this detail anywhere in the ticket

Platinum Member - (I've been with them awhile!)

I have been using Cheapoair for years and am largely content with their service and pricing.

It seems they have made a change this year for round-trip tickets - proposing outbound flights to choose and then proposing return flights, which often raised the price that was originally posted. I'm not a big fan of this change, nonetheless, I found a reasonably priced round trip flight (as I have for years!)

NO GRACE PERIOD!!!

i booked a flight , on Frontier Airlines, and noticed within 5 minutes the return date was incorrect. I spoke to a online rep Kaitlyn and asked if it can be changed. She stated for a $418 i can change the date. THATS INSANE WHEN I HAD JUST BOOKED IT 5 minutes prior! When i asked about cancellation she stated there is a $75 per person. Again i just BOOKED THE FLIGHT WITHIN MINUTES!

I called and spoke to Julian and tried to assist me. He was able to switch the dates but with am additional $150. Which is the same price on canceling. I asked if we have to pay for seats and on top of that a carryon. Basically the charge original is just to be on the plane.
I asked for a manager and spoke to Leon. He gave me a $50 discount but couldnt do anything more which is absurd as a manger. I am in the Customer Service field and there is always something more you can do for a customer. $50.00 of a $853.95 is only a 5% discount. Not enough to keep me as a customer. At this point i cancelled the booking and Leon gave me the same $50 discount off the calculations.

Service has to be better and able to do more with all of these competition out there. I will never book the flight or through this website again!

Go nowhere near these robbing guys. The book flights which they cannot honour and then try to charge extra for services you do not need. Use wisely bur preference is not at all

This company is a scam and they really…

This company is a scam and they really screwed me. I would not recommend using it.
I travel a lot and I do a lot of research to get good rates. Which is of course what cheapoair advertises. I’ve used them for a short trips before. But this time I used them to book a round-trip business fare to Europe. I spent hours on the phone with several agents in their company, as well as other companies. In the end, I had a similar fare quote from them and another company. Unfortunately, I booked with them through an agent named Troy. We were on the phone for two hours and ended up booking my trip at around 1 AM in the morning. I was exhausted. I had very clear specifications for the trip which included the exact dates that I wanted , the exact timing that I wanted and so forth. I told the agent that I wanted to book my trip to Rome on 25 September, possibly the 24th, but no later than the 25th since I had to be there on the 26th. We went over the itinerary many times. When he sent me the confirmation, I thought it said the 25th, I was blurry eyed at 1am. The agent told me he would call me the next day to continue planning my Travel. He didn’t call. So on the following day, I pulled out my reservation and saw that he had booked entirely the wrong date. I was very clear that 25 September was the last date I would book to get me in Rome by the 26th. The agent booked the 28th and did not tell me about the change. After that, I called CheapOair multiple times, spent hours on hold, hours talking to one agent and one supervisor after another. Each one told me that they would listen to the tape and if I did tell the agent the 25th and he made a mistake they would. Rebook or cancel the Booking. Otherwise, they said it was nonrefundable and to rebook the correct date that I had told Troy to book would cost me almost an additional $900. I called multiple times and talked to multiple supervisors and they all told me they were going to listen to the tapes. On my many calls trying to rectify the error in the daye booked by Troy, I spent hours on hold and talking to other agents and supervisors. On successive calls I spoke to agents named Abdiel, Lee , and Agnos. I spoke to men who said they were supervisors named Augustine, then Chad, and Stannish . They just gave me the runaround. Two of the supervisors put me on hold for more than 25 minutes each to listen to the tapes of my call, and then came back and said they were going to ask other agents to listen to the call and get back to me. They each put me on hold for so long I’m sure they did listen to the tape and they heard me specifying the dates that I wanted. But they didn’t want to correct the error. After getting the runaround for two more days, and since the price of my trip was continually going up, I couldn’t afford to wait and keep getting the runaround. I finally ended up booking the correct dates with another company called businessclass.com and an agent named Leona, who was extremely professional and careful and booked exactly what I told her to book. She also was able to get me a better price booking me the correct date, and she got me additional benefits. She and her supervisor worked hard and very quickly to get me on the right flights on the right days and to get me every benefit possible. When I called CheapOair, I was constantly put on hold for 45 minutes or longer and got no where. They just gave me the runaround and wasted hours and hours of my time and now I have the hassle of getting their charges off my credit card. I’m editing this complaint four days after I brought this complaint to CheapOair, and they have never responded to take care of their error. Of course, at this point, I have another. Ticket, and the only possibility is to cancel the cheapo air flights entirely.
My credit card company says that since they made the mistake, the credit card company will not pay the charges to cheapoair I now believe that the agent intentionally booked the wrong date to be able to make more money by rebooking when I discovered the mistake. What a hassle. I will go to court if I have to, and have the court order them to produce the tapes to prove that the agent booked the wrong date, and ask for damages against CheapOair for all of the trouble that they’ve caused me. Don’t deal with these crooks. Buyer beware. I’m updating this complaint on June 22, 2026.

Booking is too complicated

Booking is too complicated. Too many Choices. Too many places where mistakes can be made due to confusion. the Options/Choices are disruptive and defocus the customer from the actual booking details.

I haven’t had any problems until now…

I haven’t had any problems until now with the booking site. I’m very unsatisfied with the service and inconvenience that I have had to deal with I will not be booking with this site again.

They seem to have a flat rate fee of $250

They seem to have a flat rate fee of $250 on top of what the airline charges. So if airline charges $500 for a ticket, you'll be paying $750 for your ticket. It's a middleman. I thought maybe it would be similar to an affiliate commission structure. Nope. They charge way more than the airlines and advertise their prices as "cheap." It's even in the name. It's not technically a scam, but IMO this borders on scam. #capitalism

Well I was told that my flight came with a 1 carry-on and one personal item but went I got ready to board the plane I had to pay for me and Tamya's carry -on and I checked a bag I will I 've use cheap o air many times in the past I will not use you again.

Cancellation without notice or returns

It is ridiculous that neither Cheapoair nor the airline provided any email or text notification regarding changes or cancellations to an international flight. There is no reasonable excuse for travelers to discover that their flight has been changed or canceled only after arriving at the airport or reaching the gate.

When customers book international travel, timely communication is essential. A simple email, text message, or app notification could prevent unnecessary stress, confusion, missed connections, and additional expenses. Failing to notify passengers of major itinerary changes demonstrates poor customer service and a lack of respect for travelers’ time and money.

I am extremely disappointed with this experience and would not recommend using Cheapoair for international travel based on the lack of communication alone.
