Placed the order on March 25

Placed the order on March 25, 2023 for the 4 piece set. It is now July 22, 2023. Other than the emails during the order process, I have received zero response to my emails, WHATSAPP and attempted phone calls. Working on a dispute with the credit card company. Fingers crossed, I'm outside the 60 day window for disputes, but since there was a 10 week turnaround, there is no way I would have been aware of the issue within the window. What a disgrace to intentionally cheat people.

Zero stars if I could

Zero stars if I could. Paid nearly £6000 in January then after calling them in February was told delivery due by end of March. Since then, no contact, no response to calls, emails, or messages. I have now contacted my credit card company but who knows if I will be able to retrieve the money. So angry. Insolvency is horrible but to continue to take money for goods you know you can’t provide is terrible.

Lost Money and Insolvency Law

It appears that this company may have been Trading Insolvent, also known as Wrongful Trading, which is a civil offence. **IF** it can be proved that the directors acted with clear intent to deceive and defraud their customers, then Fraudulent Trading could be proved, which becomes a criminal offence.

If, like me, you have lost money to this company and feel that you have been a victim of fraud. You may be able to pursue the directors personally, as outlined in Section 214 of the Insolvency Act 1986. I will be contacting the allocated insolvency practice to determine which actions we can take to recover our money. Another avenue would be to try and prove Misfeasance or Breach of Duty.

Good luck to everyone that has lost money to this company. Let's get our money back!

Placed an Order in January and paid a…

Placed an Order in January and paid a deposit. Said order was ready for delivery in April even had a message from the Courier giving a date and time for delivery. They took the balance of over £2600 knowing full well they hadn’t even made the goods!! Fraud Fraud Fraud we’re pensioners and our money is precious we have nothing to replace it! Now we’ve lost it! Did a chargeback with the Bank but been told if we don’t hear from the Bank by the 8 th August it will stay in our account but otherwise they will take it back and we will have lost it all. Chesterfields if England should be locked up for this taking money from genuine buyers when they know they can’t supply the goods.
We’re devastated!

Directors should be charged with Fraud.

Took my order back in March when it must have been obvious it was insolvent. Just seen the accounts;Owe HRMC £93,000 of which 60k was furlough fundings.
Done TSB for 10k
Shopify £40k
Customers £181k
against assets of Stock 1.8k
and Motor Vehicle £10.8k

Paid by Debit Card but claimed back from bank via their Chargeback Scheme.

Going into administration...

Placed an order in January and have been chasing ever since for updates, with only 1 or 2 responses to my requests for information. Latest response was at the end of April, setting the expectation of shipping in 2 weeks. After continued failed attempts to get any further updates from the company, we engaged our credit card company to process a chargeback. We have this morning received an email from the company advising that they are going into administration. If you have an order with this company, you are unlikely to receive it!

I received my sofa after the 15 weeks…

I received my sofa after the 15 weeks of waiting (order #3026) and being told for the last 3 weeks it was on its way. Took a day off work after Callum informed me it would finally be with me on the 28th April but it failed to arrive so was promised a refund of delivery charges which still hasn't materialised. It arrived 2 days later and aesthetically it is a beautiful piece of furniture but sadly it was damaged. Informed Chesterfield’s immediately and received an email from Franco saying the problem would be dealt with promptly. This was almost 3 weeks ago and after numerous phone calls, WhatsApp messages and various emails I haven’t received any correspondence whatsoever so after spending nearly £2000 all I have to show for it is a damaged sofa.

I have never been so frustrated with my…

I have never been so frustrated with my experience! I have waited 10 weeks and have been emailing, calling and using whats(if they app, with no response. My order #3079 was the center piece of my new business, but now I want to cancel. I do not trust anything this company would say (if they ever responded) at this point!

My experience is much the same - rubbish

My experience is much the same. Ordered in February. Told by Callum it would take about 10 weeks. Now 12 weeks and no response to my emails and the phone line is no longer connected. I like a previous customer am battling with cancer and this kind of stress is not what I need.

It looks like this is same problem with…

It looks like this is same problem with every customer. Payment is made and then a series of emails, correspondence of lies and deceit and lastly the phone lines are not working. All correspondence has stopped, I still am waiting for the Sofa after 70 days. I am seeing that this is their performance with everybody and for those who eventually got the product is unhappy with it. I am going to request for the money back now.

To be fair I had a heart attack when I read these reviews. I immediately contacted the company with my concerns and Callum assured me that this would not be my experience. Everything went smoothly and as promised and we are delighted with our armchairs.

This company will be out of business…

This company will be out of business soon. They never contacted me. I had to chase them. It took 6 phone calls, 4 emails and 3 chat requests on their website to get an answer. The people who answered "dont know anything" and say that Callum will call. They ignored me for weeks thereafter.

When Callum finally answers he lies.
It took weeks longer than expected. They lied that the couriers did not pick it up, but they went and they were turned away.

After all the anxiety and bad service, you would want to quality to be good at least, but it's not.
The cushions supplied are cheaply filled, after 2 weeks, they need to be refilled. The lining at the base of the seat to the back is already coming out of the staples used. The sofa creaks.

Do not buy from this company. I think they are going under and you may never see the the money or the goods when they do.

Lying liars

Lying liars. Ordered two chairs in October 2022, ETA January 2023. Since then it's been promise after promise. The chairs were allegedly ready to ship at the end of February 2023. Then crickets. It would take up to 4 emails for them to respond ONCE. I called during their business hours several times, and was never able to speak to anyone. I tried their online chat and got nowhere.

Finally, they fobbed me off onto the logistics company, and then you have to provide your SSN for import, which was apparently totally unnecessary since they shipped NOTHING. Well, this company lied to them too, because today the logistics company said they have no record of anything being loaded to any vessel. Lie after lie after lie from this company.

I'm a cancer patient, so being 5 months late is a big deal. That could be the rest of my life. Well, strap in, because a dispute is pending with Chase Bank, and I am getting every cent back. They wasted the time of someone who may not have much time to waste.

5/19 Update: Their response is nothing but more lying and placating. Breadcrumbing. They never replied to my 4/21 email asking them to process a refund, NO shipping confirmation ever sent, just totally incommunicado except for their BS reply below. Companies should under-promise and over-deliver. They do the exact opposite. DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE THIEVES.

I wish there was negative rating too as…

I wish there was negative rating too as this company doesnt even deserve 1 star.
I placed an order 2829 in July 22 and was told that it'll be ready for delivery in 3 months, when chased they said there's a delay. In January, I was told a delivery will be arranged. Then got numerous sms from courier service which confirm delivery and then reschedule. Been chasing the company for updates and kept getting false promises of delivery dates, wasted so many weekends just sat at home waiting for the delivery. Finally fed up and asked for a refund on 13th March, was told the refund has been processed and should be with me in 4 days on their whatsapp messaging service. Contacted back on the 24th saying the refund hasnt come through, and was told they'd check and get back, which never happened. On the 27th, again after chasing, was told the amount has left their account. Not sure where it went. On the 3rd of April, they said they'll check with their accounts team and get back, I have been waiting and chasing since then to no response whatsoever. I'm not sure but am considering getting some legal help on this as I dont know how else to chase them, they dont respond to messages on their whatsapp service, the number on their website is useless and they hardly ever respond to emails. A very bad bad experience overall.
