Worst company ever
We ordered a sofa in November 2021. The expected delivery date was mid-March 2022.
By end of March we had not heard anything, so we asked for an update via email. Ten days later (after one reminder) the company wrote back that there were some delays due to Brexit.
I asked for an estimated delivery date. After two reminders they finally wrote back that the sofa would be leave the factory on 10th May and that shipping usually takes 10 days, i.e. the sofa should arrive around 20th May.
A few days later I asked for confirmation that the sofa was indeed picked up as planned. After three reminders they responded that the sofa was now due to leave the factory on 17th June.
At the end of June they told me that the sofa had not yet been shipped. I asked for an updated delivery date, but they did not reply to this or to my reminders. On 18th July I ran out of patience and wrote them to cancel the order and ask for a full refund. Then, finally, on 26th July the sofa was finally delivered without prior warning. Luckily we were home to receive it.
But … the sofa was delivered with the wrong kind of legs. According to all the pictures on their website, this model comes with long legs with little wheels on, but our sofa had very short legs. A very obvious error.
I sent them yet another email and after just one reminder they promised to send a replacement set of legs. However, it took two months, 20 emails, 10 phone calls and lots of broken promises before the replacement legs were finally delivered. The four legs were not even identical – one had a slightly different design. But at that point I had given up.
The company's phone number is redirected to a third-party call center. Their agents are friendly but unable to answer questions about my order. They can only pass on a message to the factory. The factory never returned any of my calls.
I have no idea why they act in this way. At one point I had more or less accepted that this was a complete scam and that my money was lost. Perhaps they are on the verge of bankruptcy, or perhaps they are just utterly incompetent. In any case, I would strongly advice against doing any kind of business with Chesterfields of England.
Oh, apart from the wrong legs, the quality of the sofa is actually very nice. But I am sure you can get a similar product from a different company.

Beautiful Chesterfield sofa
Received my new Chesterfield sofa ..absolutely beautiful, on time brilliant service
Suspected fraud. no furniture delivered, ordered may 2022
placed order may 2022, ( order no.2767) paid 6,294.76 GBP. Callum promised to provide photos of Furniture once it was manufactured. No photos provided. Have sent more than a dozen emails. Each time they claim the order is with the shippers? Have asked for contact details of the shippers, none provided. On the 7th of October 2022 Callum claimed the order was wrapped and export ready, no proof provided. On the 14th of February 2023, Callum claimed the furniture was in the Shippers warehouse and was departing the UK that same week. Have also tried to call but only ever get the answering service, who claim they will pass on the information. Live chat is useless also, they only pass on the request to callum. They are showing video clips on instagram of new furniture being made, where is my order. They sent a spam email on the 25th of March 2023 saying there will be 35% discount during spring.
I plan to contact greater manchester police to report this fraud.

Paid and still no sofa, possible pressing charges
We placed our £6.000 order (paid upfront) on 3rd of December 22 - should have been ready within January. Since then absolutely no communication. We are even considering pressing charges...

Poor customer service, delayed delivery, product issues
The sofas were supposed to be delivered in 10-12 weeks. They took 19. I was given no updates on their delivery without having to send multiple follow up emails, often with no reply. After receiving them I have contacted the company 3 times (gave up trying to get through by phone) to explain that the sofa cushions are too small so they slide and slip around when sat on. I’ve had no reply to any of these emails. The customer service I have experienced has been poor.
UPDATE BELOW: I’ve received the reply to this review 5.5 weeks after posting it. I never ordered a footstool. Have they even read my review? The issue was partly about the delayed delivery time but the bigger issue now relates to the quality standard of the delivered product for which I’ve never received a reply by email nor in this forum.

Our 4 piece special arrived on Friday and we're more than happy with it. The delivery was delayed twice however we were kept up to date and sent a free leather cleaning kit as compensation.

Order at your own risk
Placed order 28/10/22 waited until 1/2/23 . Arrived without the stool. Many emails, loads of phone calls, hardly ever replies. When they do it's Promise after promise it's on its way still no stool delivered. What do we have to do to get them to forfill their contract of sale. Absolutely disgusting service
Once your order is placed the business ceases to communicate with customers.
Ordered a number of pieces of furniture on 2 September 2022 and advised an 8-10 week lead time - Order 2874. From this point communication ceased and the business would not respond to emails until posting my last review at which point Callum suggested my emails had accidently been going to his junk box. He then advised the order would be ready in another few weeks. Then nothing again, no updates and no response to emails. It is now 23 weeks since the order was placed and the business does not response. Alarms bells are ringing!
Update 10 February.
The response to my review from COE is that I have been emailed to resolve the issue.
No email has been received from this end!
