Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service! Queries on progress of my order were swiftly answered. Obvious delays were due to Brexit/Covid restrictions but able to get the delivery with routine development of the whereabouts of the courier. Very happy with the quality & excellent workmanship of the 2x 3 seater. Will last a lifetime! Thanks & keep up the excellent work.

While due to covid delays and the…

While due to covid delays and the Christmas rush the sofas took a while to arrive they were well worth the wait. The customer service team always kept in touch and promptly answered any emails.

I did have a problem with my footstool, but Tracie and Callum have agreed to replace it. Otherwise I am very happy with the quality of the chairs and look forward to enjoying them for years to come.

Very satisfied.

I bought a sofa during summer 2020 and I was so impressed with the quality of the sofa I have recently bought a second one. I love these sofas, they are a real center piece of the room.

One of the wood/brass wheel legs on the first sofa broke during the first 6 months but the customer service was great, they were apologetic and said this was very rare and sent out a replacement on next day delivery.

The delivery of both sofas took slightly longer than expected, but this was pre-warned due to the current Covid-19 situation and the quality of the sofas was well worth the wait.

I am very satisfied.

Superb product and great customer service.

I recently purchased the 'Queen Anne High Back 3 Piece Suite' which arrived this morning. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the sofa and chairs, and the customer service I received over the phone was excellent.

Ordered a Edwardian sofa back in June…

Ordered a Edwardian sofa back in June 2020, the wrong colour and the wrong velvet fabric was delivered. Waited another 3 weeks, correct sofa arrived, correct colour and fabric but it had what looked like glue stains on the seat and the foot board was incorrect not Edwardian as advertised. Sent photos. Company arranged for another to be made, another 10-12 week wait as there was now a problem sourcing the fabric, due to Covid i was told. Waited and waited, I always had to chase, very poor customer service. Eventually got the sofa after 7and a half months!!!! no follow up call from Chesterfields to check everything alright with customer and no free sofa as advertised even though I had recently reminded Callum in an email to send the free stool ,which he ignored. So if you dont mind getting several sofas before the one that you have actually ordered and want, and you dont mind doing all the chasing and you dont mind not getting the free stool as advertised, Good luck. I cant recommend this company. No further discount given and I would never recommend or use them ever again.

Easy ordering , excellent product

I wanted to buy a Chesterfield sofa , but it had to be online because of Covid which meant I was nervous of spending so much money and would not even be trying it out. I phone this company and explained my concerns, I explained that it had to look old - not shiny or with fake sprayed on coloured aging it - it had to look as best it could as if

I bought a 3 seat Edwardian…

I bought a 3 seat Edwardian Chesterfield sofa in Antique leather. I must say the product is perfect. The quality is flawless. Even though the delivery took longer than expected, the staff always answered my emails in a very polite way. I would recommend this company and I would buy their products again without hesitation.

Quality product, good customer service.

Ordered a 2 seater sofa in antique red leather. The company kept me informed of progress, and arranged for delivery prior to Christmas, which I was impressed with, considering the difficulties caused by the current pandemic. I'm pleased with the quality of the workmanship, and would be happy to order from them in the future.

Quality British made furniture

I recently bought a three piece suite from chesterfield with an antique leather finish, the furniture is very well made to a high quality of British workmanship.
I am very please with the finish and quality of the furniture.
Despite the difficulties during the pandemic the agreed dates of delivery were honoured.

Great sofa, great service

I recklessly ordered a sofa during lockdown having first been reassured that it could be returned if it wasn't suitable. When it arrived I was really pleased, the leather is lovely, it's well made and everything I hoped for. My only issue was that the cushions weren't as over stuffed as I anticipated. I called the company and spoke to Tracie who has organised 2 lovely fat fillers for me. During these difficult times Tracie was very proactive and helpful. I am delighted with the end result and the service I've received. Thank you!

Amazing service would definitely recommend

Ordered sofa in October, hoping for delivery before Christmas. We wanted to replace the standard legs with vegas legs, so phoned to order. Customer service was fantastic. I dealt with Tracie whilst awaiting delivery, and she couldn't have been more helpful, always getting back to me straight away with updates, when I pestered her, with my worries when we went into lockdown. I received delivery of my sofa yesterday and we're absolutely delighted with it. We had a slight delay in our expected delivery date but understandable within the pandemic.
Tracie is a valuable asset to the Company, she even contacted me on delivery day to check I'd received it.
The delivery was great, and arrived before my allotted time, using a text system once out for delivery.
We're delighted with the quality of our sofa. It is beautiful, and has definitely exceeded my expectations. Well done, and a huge thank you especially to Tracie!

Worth the wait

Worth the wait. Delighted with sofa.We had a slight delay in our expected delivery date but understandable within the context of 2020.
Tracie Shaw provided excellent customer service and kept us informed of progress and clearly is a valuable asset to the company.
Also excellent communication from delivery team once out for delivery.
Quality of product is outstanding, exceeded expectations. Excellent craftmanship and faultless.

Gorgeous looking sofas but cushions too soft 😢

I ordered two sofas at the end of August and they were delivered this week. One is tobacco leather and the other is peacock blue velvet. They look amazing! I do wish I had got a 4 seater in the velvet as the 3 seater is not as big as my old 3 seater sofa!! I also asked for firm cushions, which the leather ones are, however the velvet ones are not firm and it is not that comfortable unfortunately 😢. I do have to mention the delivery men as I am not sure they had ever delivered sofas before. I asked them to come and have a look at the access because I knew we had massive problems with our sofas when we moved in, but they didn’t and came straight in the with biggest sofa and couldn’t get it through the door, they then tried to get in the back door and finally came in through the window! They had taken the feet off and when we put them back on we realised that one was missing. I emailed Tracie and she sent a replacement in the post immediately. Brilliant customer service, just a shame about the too soft cushions.

My experience of Chesterfields

I ordered a 3 seater sofa and a chair in September, asking for delivery to be in about 10 weeks as we were renovating. Pretty much 10 weeks later it was ready for delivery! I also changed my mind on the colour after I had placed the order and spoke to Tracie, worried I had messed up and it couldn’t be changed. She was brilliant. She sorted it all out for me and was so professional. I had many emails with Tracie and I really cannot fault her, she’s an asset to the company. I’ve had my furniture for 2 days now and I’m so impressed with it. It is beautifully made, the leather is amazing and the build quality is great. The delivery guys were polite and very respectful and I am over the moon with my sofa and chair. I would definitely recommend the company to anyone wanting to buy a chesterfield.

Nice sofas, not worth the pain

We are very happy with the sofas, they look good and appear well-made. But the experience of buying them just wasn't worth it. I understand that Covid has made things difficult for many businesses, and I am sympathetic to that. I understand that my sofas were likely to take longer than normal and that is fair enough. But that is not the problem here: the problem is that the company does not care about and is not set up to deliver, the most basic levels of customer service.
This isn't one customer's unfortunate experience, this is systemic. As an example, consider a company that does not publish it's opening hours. Then consider if that same company did not take out of hours messages but instead played a message telling customers to call back during opening hours, without advising customers when they are.
Obviously a company like that is not going to proactively advise it's customers of delays or difficulties. It's not going to respond to inbound phone calls in a timely fashion - or probably at all.
One example (of many): I was expecting a delivery on a Saturday; by 3pm on Friday I had not had a despatch confirmation so I rang to enquire. I was told, as always, that nobody was available to take my call and that as it was 3pm and they closed at 4:30 I probably wouldn't get a call back before Monday - two days after the delivery was due! No-one seems to think this is in anyway sub-optimal service. Customer service (when I eventually heard back from them) told me that was "just how it is" and there was "nothing they could do about it".
Consider a company that "can't do anything" to let customers know they won't be receiving their goods when promised, even when the customer rings to enquire. That's not Covid, that's the company.
On a further occasion I was told my sofas would be with me the next day, only for them not to be collected due to "heavy traffic". It went on like this for weeks. Continual untruths and contradictory information from them and their delivery company. Nobody takes ownership of an issue. Finally I told them I was cancelling the order. They assured me I would get it the next day and they would refund me the delivery charge. Next day was a Saturday, delivery company (who also can't be reached by phone) told me they were delivering on Tuesday. Eventually sofas turned up. One was dropped getting it off the van. Nobody seemed too bothered about that. Then they ignored my repeated reminders that they owed me a refund of the delivery charge. Emails went unanswered for weeks until I posted on their Facebook page. The refund was then processed but no communication, no apology, zilch. Like I said at the start, I appreciate the current situation is very challenging for businesses and I'm more than willing to lower my expectations accordingly. But the complete absence of any customer service has nothing to do with Covid and everything to do with how this company is set up. I don't think the service I received was anything other than normal for this organisation and on that basis I would strongly recommend anyone thinking of buying from them to reconsider. There are plenty of other companies selling decent Chesterfield sofas at attractive prices. For your own piece of mind I would suggest buying from one of them and giving this company a wide berth until they indicate they have addressed the structural and cultural issues within their organisation.

Absolutely delighted with our sofa &…

Absolutely delighted with our sofa & chairs, the pictures do the product no justice & the price is just amazing! delivery took 6 weeks which is fine albeit longer than expected & I had to message a few times for an update, however I totally understand the issues under the dreadful Covid crisis. Overall good experience with the website chat/ email etc. When delivery was confirmed the couriers were very good keeping me informed about arrival times. (Thank you Callum at Chesterfield for handling my queries) Would not hesitate in a recommendation.

I have contacted your company 7 times…

I have contacted your company 7 times via phone and web chat. Unfortunately I had no response . I was lied to and was given promises which has not been kept.
I requested for the delivery of my missing item which is Royal Foot stool. I was told that it should be with the depot/manufacturer, on its way and so many different other lies. I was told that someone will call me and update me on this missing item but unfortunately no action has been taken by yourselves at all.
I received the delivery of the sofas on 02/06/2020 and I have been waiting ever since.
I do not find this service satisfactory at all and does not suit your brand name and standard of service.

Low quality and terrible service

Terrible company. Do not be taken in by the slick website! I ordered two leather sofas from this company less than two years ago. When they arrived, I was immediately shocked by the quality - virtually no padding to the seat, extremely uncomfortable, cheap looking leather and without a robust frame (felt like they’d crack if more than one person sat on them). They are definitely the most cheaply made chesterfield sofas I have ever seen. One already has two buttons that have sprung loose and one button cap missing (the sofa is virtually unused). I had these shipped to HK and despite all their hype about worldwide shipping and long guarantees, when I raised the quality issues I was largely ignored. They did agree to refund the cost of repair but refused to help source a reliable workshop and wouldn’t advise if the warranty would be invalid if I sourced a workshop myself. When I did eventually find a repairman, the company stopped replying to my emails. To date, I have had no help or compensation for what is clearly a shoddy product. I am writing to trading standards to see what more can be done to hold this poorly run company to account. Do not buy from them.
