Despicable Customer Service
Trying to get hold of a person to speak to regarding my enquiry was impossible. I had a AI generated response which x2 which ignored the details of my enquiry and did not resolve my issue. It was pre written standard AI response and I was not offered a refund or exchange on my tickets. We were stuck in Road traffic accident, missing our screening and told we should have cancelled 2 hours before the start time! We couldn’t because there a was accident after the time we left our home to get to cinema and the road was closed for 1.30hrs. I have 3 disappointed children who now will not see the film as I’ve not been offered a refund and can’t afford to pay another £38.00 to watch the film. The help page said the alternate option was to speak to a member of staff at the cinema. 1. There is no number to call the cinema directly. There are no longer any telephone services and we couldn’t physically get to the cinema to speak to someone. Would never use Cineworld again as there are other cinemas with better facilities and better customer service. A warning to others- do not rebook tickets online as you will not be offered an exchange regardless of the circumstance.
ABSOLUTE GARBAGE
ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! I KNEW SOMETHING WAS WRONG AS SOON AS THE TRAILERS STARTED. THE SCREEN WAS CROPPED AND 10 MINUTES INTO THE FILM THEY CANCLELED THE WHOLE MOVIE. I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO WATCHING SPIDER-MAN ASWELL WITHOUT SPOILERS

Having had an annual membership with Cineworld for over eight years and purchasing my annual pass with club card points. They have just deducted £17.99 from my account without permission although they tell me they have it! They informed me that they sent me an email – which they never did as I have triple checked. And then they refuse to give me a refund. Cineworld are acting fraudulently and underhand and I can’t see how they can survive with these tactics as when I go to Huntingdon, most of the seats have holes in them or foam falling out of them and are very uncomfortable and yet if I go to a vue or a showcase, they charge a fraction of the price and they are like luxury seats. Now I I understand why they have to defraud people and scam them. Stay away and let them go down the river that’s how I feel.

I went to a screening of The Odyssey...
The film started and approximately 5 minutes in, the picture disappeared. It took 10 minutes or so for this to be noticed and fixed. Starting again, the film managed 10 minutes the second time, before the same thing happened. I left.
You might expect an email apology, and dare I say a refund, but no....
Worse still, I did recevie an email requesting a review, where I explained what happened....Still nothing.
Truly terrible...
Really poor customer service…
Really poor customer service experience. Partner accidentally booked a showing for the wrong date - contacted Cineworld days in advance to see if we could rebook. Advised we could not because we were cineworld members - if we had been, they can rebook as late as 20 minutes before a showing. Seems like a particularly inflexible customer service approach - we wouldn’t use them again after this experience.

They cancelled my booking without giving a reason but have used a Meerkat movies code which I can’t use to rebook. What’s particularly disgraceful is that customer services don’t care. I’ve been passed from form to form and just get automated replies. Last time I try and book with Cineworld. If you can’t be bothered to offer customer service you don’t deserve customers.

Went to see Toy Story 5 with family at Stevenage branch. Great film, easy access and the chap called Tony on the food and drink counter was delightfully friendly and welcoming.
Rubbish Customer service
Cineworld have just sent me an email to change the screen for my showing. They have stuck us in really rubbish seats no where near the ones that we originally picked inspite of the fact that there are seats available in the new screen similar to the ones that I booked. You can't ring up anyone as they have done away with that. Cineworld customer service is a joke!
The refund policy is terrible
The refund policy is terrible. I booked 2 hours before the film but got the wrong day. I logged in to my Cineworld account, but it wasn't the app, and within 2 hours could not get a refund. I am not going back to Cineworld anytime soon.
I sent a complaint/request email. The response showed very little empathy or compassion.
Great experience
I was optimistic when Cineworld first opened cause I hadn’t gone there before and I alllwats went to the one in Liverpool one odeon for years. Now I love it
Been going there for years , most of the time we go , there are hardly any lines , friendly staff and good snack / food options.
Used to go there with my disabled mom , and the disabled way into the screening were completely different to the odeon , especially when there was “ work “ going on , we went sort of behind the scenes of cinema which to me was very cool.
Once we got into the screening there was a lot of leg room BUT depending on which screening we went into , either at the very front looking my looking up at the screen , my neck hurts after a while watching the movie , I preferred the bc cause the you look straight at the screen and you don’t have to strain my neck watching the movie
Unpleasant/disturbing horror movie trailers
Saw The Odessey at Cineworld Chichester IMAX today. Film was great but the 30+ minutes of unpleasant/disturbing horror movie trailers beforehand was not “age appropriate”. One of our party left the cinema, which spoilt a special occasion.
Shocking customer service!
On Friday 26th June 2026, I booked tickets for toy story using the Google search engine for chesterfield tickets however it took me through to Sheffield without informing me and I was refused entry at chesterfield as the tickets had been booked for Sheffield.
The kind staff on entry asked me to buy more tickets for chesterfield stating this happens all the time and I would be able to get a refund through customer services.
The initial tickets I had booked were for £18 for a family ticket which I would appreciate a refund for.
The family ticket at chesterfield was considerably more expensive at £32.80 which was unexpected.
I have contacted Cineworld Sheffield and after waiting a few weeks, I have just been informed that the money will not be refunded or even issued a voucher as stated in terms and conditions
This is a shocking customer service especially after having been advised by the staff at chesterfield to buy a new ticket and that the refund would be issued as happens quite often.
Took grand children to see Toy Story 5…
Took grand children to see Toy Story 5 on the 27th June ( booked online 26th) on arrival we were told that the screening was cancelled due to air conditioning problems we inquired about a refund and was told it would take about three working days.It is now the 16th of July and you can not talk to anybody as everything is done by email.😡
Mixed bag (definitely avoid Unlimited)
My experiences with Cineworld as a cinema experience has been okay and I even decided some months ago to become an unlimited member as I enjoyed watching films there ..
lately due to a change of address which means I can no longer get to my local cinema of choice, I decided it was time to cancel the Unlimited membership.
Sadly you can't actually get hold of anyone in order to do this, messages to the cinema using their contact form just get ignored and the email address they tell you to use on their own website just bounces back a message about being unmonitored.
This is clearly unacceptable and anyone thinking of joining Unlimited, I strongly advise you not to bother.
Cineworld should not be in business with this model of setting up subscriptions and then ignoring any cancellation requests.
Theives is what Cineworld are.

Absolutely shocking customer service. OR SHOULD I SAY IS THERE EVEN A CUSTOMER SERVICE????
I have been trying to get hold of someone for 4 weeks now to reimburse my money they charged me 3 TIMES for!!!!
White Rose Cinema couldnt help me although it happened in store and directed me to the email address that no longer gets monitored. I have completed 6 forms and still NOT 1 RESPONSE.

Appalling Customer Service as unable to speak to a human and all via email. They take days to get back to you which is too late to help.
Avoid at all costs.
A huge thank you to the fantastic team…
A huge thank you to the fantastic team at Cineworld Plymouth for looking after our group of 103 students and staff from Devonport High School for Boys. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, organised, and accommodating.
Nothing was too much trouble, and they went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly for such a large group. Their professionalism, patience, and friendly attitude made the whole experience enjoyable and stress-free for both our students and staff.
We really appreciate all of your hard work and would highly recommend Cineworld Plymouth to any school or large group looking for a well-managed, enjoyable cinema visit. Thank you again – we look forward to visiting again!
Worst experience with Unlimited…
Worst experience with Unlimited membership card. I purchased the card within a few days (never used due to personal emergency) applied for cancellation as it is within the cooling off. They responded as the refund will be done in 7-10 working days. It is now around 3 months and I haven't received my refund and there is no response to my emails. There is no customer service contact number. The only way to contact them is via email.Never go to cineworld as they have zero customer service. I don't know how to claim my money.
Very disappointed.
