Absolutely love this product! I tried 3 others before coming across this one, and it was the only one that worked! Was able to recover from an old drive that had all my videos and pictures over the last 14 years of my children! Customer service is quick to respond as well when I have a couple of questions! Thank you for an amazing product!

UPDATE: After I posted this review, the company contacted me and offered a refund on the condition that I remove it. After receiving the refund, I chose not to delete the review because I believe other consumers deserve to see the full picture of my experience with the company's customer service.

Since then, I have been receiving repeated emails from the company asking me to remove the review.

One message stated: "Since I have honored our part of the agreement, I would appreciate it if you took a moment to remove your review as promised. Your feedback matters, and I want to ensure it accurately reflects the final, resolved outcome of your experience. I kept my promise, so please do the same."

While I appreciate that the refund was eventually issued, the continued pressure to take down a truthful review has only reinforced my concerns about how the company handles customer feedback.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with and their customer support.

I purchased Disk Drill PRO because, as a regular consumer (not an IT professional), I reasonably believed the paid upgrade would help me recover and properly work with files from my drive. The drive was still visible in my system tools, so it seemed logical that upgrading to the PRO version was the next step.

Unfortunately, the software did not work for my situation at all. After wasting significant time trying to make it work, I ultimately had to turn to professional data recovery specialists instead.

What frustrated me most was the company’s response when I politely requested a goodwill refund. Rather than showing any understanding, support simply repeated their policy and implied that because previews are available in the free version, the purchase was automatically “conscious and considered.” This completely ignores the reality that non-technical users may not fully understand the limitations or implications before purchasing recovery software.

I stopped using the software as soon as I realized it would not solve my problem, uninstalled it completely, and requested a refund in good faith. Despite this, they refused to make any exception whatsoever.

Their customer support felt cold, dismissive, and entirely policy-driven rather than customer-focused. I understand companies need policies, but good customer service also requires fairness and common sense.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Disk Drill or CleverFiles.

I was able to reconstruct files from a formatted memory card containing GoPro video files. Good job!

I thought my file was done, gone forever. But this little magician Mit helped me get it back. I deleted a file of my agent speaking on camera while on site after formatting my card. I got home and it wasn't there. They helped me get it back!!!

It did not work for me unfortunately.

Due to a power outage, my HDD got partially chunked. That damage locked my entire Steam directory and with it two thirds of my hard drive. I had tried multiple recovery tools that basically held the data hostage.

I downloaded Disk Drill, it allowed me access to the damaged files so I could save what I needed and clear what I didn't and now my computer actually works.

When it comes to advanced Data Recovery , DIsk Drill is the only professional Data Recovery tool to recover data from many complex cases and file systems. Special algorithm in Disk drill is capable to recovery lost data from any camera models.

I had an old HDD with partitions for Mac and Windows that hadn't been used for about 8 years. I was confident that a lot of old pictures were safe there, but I didn't even remember exactly what was on it.

Yesterday, I checked the HDD and it only showed 6GB of pictures, which looked odd because I thought there should be more. I tried the free scanning tool and found 150GB of old pictures from 24 years ago! I was hesitant to go PRO due to some online reviews, but it was well worth the try.

It will take me a lot of time to sort, clean, and organize all the data, but it will bring me a lot of joy! Thanks for existing!

Sells false promises. Before paying we reviewed the files and it said the chances of recovery were high.
However, after paying it didn’t recover anything.
Don’t waste your money on this, probably malware too.

The APFS partition corrupted leaving data on the external SSD with no way to access it.

After doing my research, YouTube, Tech Radar etc, I found CleverFiles and Disk Drill. I also found the Disk Drill on the Mac App Store. I downloaded the file and scanned the disk. It found everything. I was able to recover 1.5TB in 3 hours.

A 2 TB external Mac drive broke and I thought it couldn't be salvaged. I demoed several disk recovery apps but the only one that worked the best, salvaged the most files, allowed quicklook for validation, and had very strong search and filtering options was Disk Drill 6.1

I cannot thank them enough. I hope I don't experience a drive crash anytime soon, but if I do I'm sure I'll get my data back.

This really is a good bit of software and well worth the price. I recovered an entire hard disk, as well as content on memory cards. Very pleased.

ui is great. and most importantly, MANAGED TO RECOVER MY FILES!!! that i deleted via a Mac off an SSD and emptied the recycle bin. no files were corrupted and the recovery process for 200gb of footage took 4 minutes. i’m amazed. recommending everyone who just wants something quick and fuss free to pay for it even tho it’s expensive.

I had a really stressful experience when my SSD suddenly failed and I thought I had lost all my files. Disk Drill was honestly the only reason I was able to recover most of my data, which still feels almost unbelievable.

After that, I contacted support to ask about an educational discount using my university email address. It wasn’t even an email officially listed on my school website, but they still took my request seriously and reviewed it kindly.

Because I was in a hurry, I had already purchased the software at the regular price before seeing the approval email. When I later explained the situation and asked whether a student discount could still be applied, they approved a 20% refund for me anyway.

I was genuinely surprised by how understanding and kind the support team was. Their responses were fast, thoughtful, and felt human — not like a typical scripted customer service experience.

Disk Drill helped me recover my files, but CleverFiles’ support left an even stronger impression. I’m truly grateful.

I store loads of data on external hard drives connected to my Mac computer. Three weeks ago I open one of the hard drives and it appeared totally blanc and hundreds of files were missing, many were photographs, Videos of bands I've played in and a whole host of important documents. I found Diskdrill on line and did some research. I was a little bit sceptical but tried their free version which pulled up hundreds of files so I decided to buy the program. At first I struggled but after contacting the company they guided me through the process. Diskdrill recovered hundreds of files including many that I'd forgotten about. Hat's off to Diskdrill and the team behind it. Excellent product and unbelievable customer service. Lesson now learned and I have two backups for everything.

Found via google search when I had a corrupted video on BeastCam which would not even open. I uploaded it. They sent a fixed file in 10 mins which was better but jumpy. I asked them if they could improve it and they did overnight for the same fee. They were a lifesaver. Happy to recommend.

Disk Drill by CleverFiles did for me what other software couldn't; restore deleted precious drone footages. And the bonus, filenames were also restored in the process. This software does what it is supposed to and does it well. Honestly, one of the best software purchases I have ever made.
