Club Villamar Reviews 

Shabby and dangerous villa. Do NOT book! Requires: new oven new fridge new bed new parasols and instructions to the effect that the door to the pool outside automatically locks when shut! Trying to be careful with the air conditioning we shut the door and the result was two 70 year old and a 4 year old stuck outside in the evening with no dry towels, no food, no drink, no phones and no clothes or shoes. The representative eventually came 3 hours later!!!!

The house was in perfect condition and fit as advertised. The treatment received by Club Villamar was excellent, attentive at all times when something was consulted. It is the second year that I book a house with Villamar.

All perfect. The second time we stay in Villa Gaby. The house was in a perfect conition and it had everything we needed. Big swimming pool. All necessary for the kitchen.

First I would like to say we only stayed 1 night out of the 10 that we booked because of the below:
1. The Villa was not clean. There was dirt in the corners of the walls. The refrigerator was not clean. The area near the washing machine was dirty and didn't work properly.
2. The place as advertised was supposed to be in a quiet neighborhood. Many dogs were left outside and were barking well past midnight. This made it hard to sleep as we couldn't close the doors and windows because of the heat and no air conditioning or fans.
3. There were people returning to their homes well past midnight and were making a lot of noise down on the street.
4. We didn't know before arriving that the owners lived above us. It didn't state this on booking.com. The owners came home late and were watching TV and it was really loud and another reason why we couldn’t sleep. They were moving chairs which was easily heard from below at night.
5. While we were out at the pool the owners were always looking over their balcony to see what we were doing. It felt like we were being constantly watched.
I personally wouldn't recommend this to anyone that wants to have a good night's sleep.

We enjoyed a lot everything in Villa Jamira. The house was in a perfect situation near the beach and it had everything we needed. The beach was wonderful.
Constantin was very kind and it was really easy to be in contact with him.
We are going to come back to Villa Jamira.

Villa Gaston is 1 big disappointment. The house looks 3 times bigger in the pictures than in real life. The outdoor area is well spacious but the house is a box. All the rooms are located close to each other. In the pictures the villa seems to have 2 floors but in reality you only have access to 1 floor.

The decor is old and so is the furniture. The shutter of one room did not even open. We had to use a stone to open the lock on the outside door so that we could get the car in. This is all because the villa has not been booked for a long time and during our stay we knew why that was.

The staff are friendly but did not resolve all our complaints.

We have never had so many mosquito bites. We were completely covered in mosquito bites because the villa is located high up.

In the end, the villa is not worth the money.

Stunning Villa in a beautiful location with fabulous views. Extremely well equipped kitchen. We absolutely loved it.
Club Villamar were always helpful. Prompt to reply to emails and very understanding about changing dates due to Covid restrictions.

Where do I start...
Pre-trip we were sent numerous rude and unhelpful emails when asked how best to get to the villa from the airport (as there is no direct transfer from Girona). 48 hours prior to arriving we received an extra £200 bill to rent towels and bed sheets which we had no choice in paying. This shows the level of care this company provides to its guests... absolutely zero.

We thought it couldn't get any worse but it did. On arrival we were promised a tour of the property to give us information about a/c, wifi etc but it was nothing of the sort. A rude woman met us who spoke very little English (we couldn't understand her) and demanded a 1000 euro deposit. This significant sum was unlawfully never returned to us. We cared for the property and cleaned it on departure however the company withheld our deposit on unjust reasoning. We were provided with 'photo evidence' which included dirty towels as the most significant damage!! We followed up politely asking for more evidence and if no evidence could be provided our money should be returned. We eventually received a follow up email that was extremely rude and incoherent and our email was blocked once we threatened legal action. So, whatever quote your booking is, remember to add 1000euros on due to their company policy of 'retain the guests deposit at all costs'!!!

In all my years travelling I have never experienced a holiday and rental company like this one. Avoid at all costs.

Worst company I have ever had to deal with. Received numerous extra charges on top of the deposit just before going to the villa which seemed unreasonable, but without paying these charges we would be given no bed sheets or towels. When leaving the villa we left it in what we thought was a clean state and put any dirty towels etc into the bathrooms where they can be collected and cleaned (what we assumed was the correct thing to do). Because of dirty towels and a photo of a plastic bottle which was left next to a bed €900 was withheld from us (on top of the €200 automatic cleaning fee, and initial fee to receive our towels). When emailing to complain about this and ask for more reasoning on why we are being charged €900 we were blocked and heard nothing more. Do not book with this company unless you fancy loosing all your money!

Over the past 5 years I have travelled to over 30 destinations using different companies almost every time and I have to say this is the WORST COMPANY I have ever come across. There are endless reasons as to why this company is the worst I’ve ever used but I’ll name a few of the major ones: explicit language used within emails, the fraudulent refusal of paying back the deposit with no evidence of damage to begin with (£1000), no replies to emails for sometimes more than 2 weeks, the adding on of costs for bedding and towels which was not stated until after purchase for rent (£200). PLEASE do not book with this company.

Honestly a star is to much for this accommodation. They where aggressive and unhelpful, they decided to add charges the day before we arrived leaving us no option but to pay. This included charges for making the beds, towel hire and exasperated deposits to the tone of around 1500 euros in total. Safe to say the whole company is a scam, after we cleaned the night before they claimed ludicrous levels off mess to justify withholding the deposit. NONE of their claims where supported with evidence expect a picture of dirty towels!!! Moreover when we appealed they basically said we where lying and they did not need to give evidence, despite this going against their own policy. Holiday from HELL…. DONT STAY HERE!!!

Absolutely horrible company. Rude and unhelpful throughout our whole experience. Charging extra for towels and bed sheets, being rude when asked simple questions about travel to and from the property - AND, refusing to pay back a 1000€ deposit whilst manufacturing reasons to not do so. They accused us of drug use and all sorts of misdemeanours and have now blocked us from appealing to get our money back. DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE FRAUDSTERS.

It has been an excellent stay, we have made a family trip, 8 adults and 1 girl. Communication with Club Villamar has been great, they have answered all our questions both before and during the trip and we have even called Madeleine late at night, kindly answering everything. We also had a problem due to the lack of a grill in the barbecue, and they solved it by paying us for one that we bought, in addition to providing us with another one the next day.
Regarding the house, it is very spacious, comfortable and beautiful, the beds are very comfortable and you are very comfortable with the air conditioning, we have enjoyed the pool, which is cleaned every day next to the terrace, the environment is spectacular, in the middle of nature and with privacy, without any noise. Even so, we were very close to the town and all the necessary services.
In short, a very pleasant family vacation that we will surely repeat.

We enjoyed 1 week holiday at Villa Alvent.
It’s a huge impressive authentic family house located in a cozy, quiet and picturesque place surrounded by grape fields. Large private space around the house. Our favorite place, of course, was the pool and it’s really big! We spent a wonderful and unforgettable holiday at this villa!
Club Villamar always respond to any questions promtly. Would use again and recommend Club Villamar service!

Had a really nice stay at villa Neruda outside Tossa Del Mar. Amazing landscape and a amazing view from the villa. Nice beach in walking distance. Everything worked well in the villa, even had a sauna which made me really happy. Also really happy with the AC inside the villa.

Villa Arllete has an incredible location. It's not exactly typical Spain. High plams, dense vegetation, steep hills, lots of flowers, white villas facing the sea on every hill, mostly modern style cubes or rustic villas. The place can make one feel like one is living in a Hollywood residence in Bel Air. The villa itself is modern, there's nothing you'd miss here. Everything is logically and practically arranged. The house provides the greatest possible privacy. You can go to the pool almost naked. We really liked it here and we will go again.

We have lived in Villa Romana in Lloret de Mar for a week. All the adults and the children have a fantastic week. We were in the villa the most of the time, because the villa was so amazing. A perfecet view over the sea and the area of Lloret de Mar.
The villa was perfect for 4 familys (maximum of 14 persons), and our contact person during the stay was top professionel. We were delayed for 24 hours, but Florin answered quickly and helped us through the delay. Clubvillamar was all the time responding, and sent us a lot of informations, so nothing could go wrong. Thank you.
It was perfect, just perfect.

Fantastic experience in a house with all requested facilities for a family with children.
All was perfectly clean, the cookware was ready to be used and the personal attention offered by the girl in charge was really nice.
