I just wanted to share how amazing Sharon, my letting agent at Clyde Property, has been.

When I had a major issue with my ceiling falling in, Sharon was there every step of the way by keeping me updated regularly and making sure everything was handled quickly and professionally.

She really went above and beyond what was needed, not just in terms of sorting everything out so quickly, but also by being genuinely kind and supportive throughout the whole process. She really made the whole situation so much easier and I felt like I was in safe hands.

From the outset everyone at Clyde was helpful, professional and friendly which made all of our interactions with them easy right through from valuation to sale and then in finding a rental property.

I used Clyde Property to sell my one bedroom flat. They made the process effortless, excellent professional advice and guidance. I had quick responses to emails and I was kept upto date with viewings and reviews regarding my property over the phone and via an app. I would certainly use them again.

Very professional company . They have been easy to deal with and user friendly. There were a couple of issues but when we raised these with them they made sure these were sorted efficiently. Happy to recommend them .

We rented for just over 3mths and when we left our check out inventory was extensive and Clyde are claiming that the house needs a Deep Clean and garden works done so basically they are trying to keep our deposit! We had the property cleaned before we left and even shampooed the carpets,Clyde are also accusing us of leaving items in the property which you get charged for removal, these items being a soap bottle , toilet roll holder and diffuser, which I queried as I checked on previous pictures taken of the property in 2021 and all of these items are in the original pictures but once again Clyde refused to remove or amend our inventory!!! However our check out did not list anything wrong with the garden and they have now added this saying there’s weeds !!!
The garden was full of moss not grass !!
We are far from impressed by the service received from Findlay at Clyde when I visited the office to query these accusations he looked bored , rolling his eyes as if he couldn’t be bothered and both my husband and I have now sent four emails questioning the amount of pictures taken in the checkout inventory ie close ups compared to the amount on the initial inventory it is not a like for like basis and is unfair ie : pictures taken of lounge initially 66 check out 115 and this is only one room !!! Clyde cannot answer this or simply just ignoring to answer it .
We questioned why the original inventory did not highlight things like sellotape over the cooker switch and an extension mounted to the wall under the kitchen worktop( which suggests a rewire is needed as to plug in the fridge it needs to be left in the middle of the floor to reach the extension!! The kitchen tap loose and leaking , soffits never been maintained or seen a lick of paint in a long time just poor condition overall. Radiators old and rusty but apparently we have caused this too!!

Clyde’s reply- The checkout inventory is to highlight any issues to the landlord that need to be addressed!
So basically it not on your checkin inventory but only noted on checkout inventory so it looks like the tenants have caused all these issues 😳and you get charged for them !!
TOTAL SCAM !!! SHOCKING SERVICE!!
My advise , take loads of pictures as you will need them !!
Looks like a we have a legal battle on our hands now !!!
Don’t Rent if you can help it , just not worth the hassle and poor value for money!!!!
