New layout is borderline unusable
New layout is borderline unusable, I don't know who designed this... normally I'm looking for something specific when I use the website. I can't find the search function, can't look up the specific type of reviews I want. The layout seems good for people that are randomly looking at the site frequently but not for people checking the site for reviews
The new layout is horrible
The new layout is horrible. I cant focus on anything. I feel like the articles all look like ads at the bottom of a clickbait story on Facebook. Its not easy to navigate and feels really ad heavy as well.

The new layout is just terrible and is unfocused. Again they are in bed with several companies (Apple iPhone). Really not worth using anymore...
Untrustworthy reviews
Their reviews of caneras and other photographic gear are useless for anyone wanting to research equipment before buying. They seem to think that more features and faster performance makes for a better camera, so they consistently rubbish Canon equipment in comparison to Sony and other competitors. They also seem to think that every camera should have every available feature and often criticise a camea for lacking something that is available in another of the maker's products. They seem to be written by tech nerds that are impressed by spcs but do not do any serious photography, otherwise they would understand why far more photographers use Canon equipment than use Sony.
CNET is Shameless
According to CNET's review of VPS hosting providers for 2022, Dreamhost is their #1 rated VPS webhost. At the end of CNET's glowing review of Dreamhost, CNET states... "Plus, it provides a 97-day money-back guarantee, one of the most generous offers available."
One problem - Dreamhost has no money-back guarantee whatsoever on their VPS hosting plans. In fact, in my own review of webhost companies, Dreamhost is the only company I saw that offers a ZERO money-back guarantee on VPS hosting.
I emailed both CNET and Dreamhost regarding this error, but I've heard nothing back and CNET's grossly misleading review remains unchanged.
CNET claims to be built on a reputation of honest and accurate reviews. This may have been true at one time, but based the recent Trustpilot reviews and per my own real-life experience, this appears to no longer be the case.
In fact, while CNET (and some others) are allowed to tout Dreamhost's "generous money-back guarantee" on VPS hosting, Dreamhost's own website fails to mention this or any "money-back guarantee" on its home page or on its VPS hosting page.
I consider this to be a shameless business arrangement. Dreamhost allows CNET to do the dirty work of misleading the public (and I believe CNET can earn money in the process), Dreamhost masks the truth by using nebulous wording on its "Terms of Service" page, never once plainly stating that there is no money-back guarantee on its VPS hosting.
I believe this is a shameless business practice by both parties. Once a bastion of honest product reviews, it appears that CNET has sold its corporate soul.
NOTE: I must add that I only paid for one month of VPS hosting and Dreamhost agreed "to make an exception" in my case and provide a refund. I wonder if they would have done this if I had paid for a full year in advance? Regardless, when it comes to either company, buyer beware!
Consistently bad
Consistently bad. Its quite a feat. Misinformation, clickbaits, poor review, out right plain wrong infos more often than not.
They would roll with any article as long as its sensational and will get views. Its gotten so bad, if i see cnet talking bout something, just take the opposite of it.
Been trying to support em, but enough is enough.

Excessive Apple articles
After downloading the app and reading the the tech news regularly I became annoyed at the excessive Apple articles . Now uninstalled.

Asked them to delete my account and they refused unless I gave them my personal details, which they didn't have already. (Name, address, telephone number). Obviously harvesting data to sell on as there is no reason they need that information.
Terrible site
Terrible site, it's loaded with lots of ads. Reviews are awful
When did CNET turn into this?
When did CNET turn into this garbage click bait company? I used to visit pretty often for reviews, and they'd always felt honest and reputable. Just got done reading an "article" that had a misleading title and multiple *see how below" blurbs, only to get to the end (after about 20 ads of course), and have the answer be. "You can't do that". You don't name an article "how to do this" and then repeatedly say "we'll show you how to do this below" over and over just to say "oh yeah btw you can't do that" at the end. What hot garbage, literally on par with the (try this one trick they don't want you to know) articles, bye integrity I guess, won't be visiting again.
Not Accurate
Cnet gives reviews but does not accept community input, thus the review likely reflects bias by the individual writer(s). For instance, I have an hp envy 4520 printer which is fresh out of the box and does not work AND cannot be repaired in a city as large as Fargo Nd. The second I attempt to review this printer publicly, I am met with Cnet which claims to know the product but in fact does not provide an accurate review of the product nor does reflect the experience of product users.
I bought the wrong product because I trusted their review of JBL 5 speaker
I trusted their review of the JBL 5 speaker. They claimed that it had a lot of the same features as the number 4 and it included speakerphone capabilities. It does not. I ended up buying the wrong product because I trust their review.

Awful site with recycled content
Awful site with recycled content to gain website traffic. Brilliant for the way they are using SEO, but they are doing that to lure readers to their misinformed articles that reference zero facts. Do not trust articles from this site, it is not a credible news source.
