If I could give a lesser rating I would. This deceitful company has removed the ability to cancel subscriptions yourself. When I contacted them 3 times over numerous months they ignored my requests and continued to charge me! They finally responded to my request and confirmed my cancellation after 3 months. Only to find out they have retained my payment information and fraudulently charged me again without my permission even after confirming my cancellation.

It would appear the only thing they do right is poor service as per the other reviews! Phoned the support number and an arrogant moron called David answered and blatantly didn't care! I have filed a fraud complaint to the police and full block via my bank.

Companies like this harp on about being sustainable and ethical and on the other hand they are stealing from customers!

I hope this company folds if this is their business model!

Absolute scum.

Very poor customer service. Found a live maggot in a chocolate bar and they didn’t respond nothing! Several emails little response and no refund. Out of principle I would not spend my money with this company will in future go direct to craft chocolate suppliers.

A company with great ethics, quality people and products - chocolate is amazing and the tasting course phenomenal. Love the quality and enthusiasm

Poor Customer Service

First, the positives;
Website is easy to use, check out and Apple Pay was fantastic.

Paid for next working day delivery and I’m still waiting for delivery (into day 3 now).

Reached out to customer service - three times, no response.

Great at taking your money but the customer service is abysmal.

Overall, the combination of non-responsive support and ignoring customer preferences makes this a service I can’t recommend. I strongly advise against this company.

First, communication was non-existent during sign-up. I had an email query and got no response, which should have been a warning sign.

Then the second subscription box arrived with products that didn’t match the parameters I selected — I chose 70%+ dark chocolate, but items were included that fell outside that preference (one chocolate with 50pct). I contacted customer support to query this, but once again I received no reply.

I now have to cancel my subscription.

Abysmal customer service and support. Would not use again.

Lack of customer service - sent back and fourth between agents, without offer of solution. Just interested in closing tickets.

Use another service, save yourself

Absolutely brilliant chocolate tasting. I thought I knew about chocolate but I learnt so may interesting things and tasted a range of chocolates I would never have tried. If you get a chance, go to a tasting

Bought some chocolate from the website after listening to a podcast with Zoe Science & Nutrition. The chocolate is exceptional, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Loved it so much that after eating 2 squares I went straight back online and ordered more! Sisters A. Chocolate is the best I’ve tried, loved it! Also quick delivery and great customer service. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic chocolate tasting event, would highly recommend.

I went to a chocolate tasting here and it was brilliant. Just the right balance of informative and fun - and of course amazing chocolate. Spencer was engaging and threw in little delights and surprises for us. I've already booked my next one and am trying to book this as a corporate event for work, too. If you truly love chocolate, you're in for a treat.

I got the Brazilian taster experience as a birthday gift, and it was great! I'm not an easy person to be given gifts to, I don't need anything, I don't like having lots. So an experience was great, specially because of my love for Chocolate.
This experience opened my tastebuds and smell sense to learning and understanding better, and appreciate even more chocolate and my passion for it.
I will definitely try and get more experiences, deep workshops and more amazing chocolate from around the world.

If you like chocolate then this is the place for you - craft chocolate heaven. Spencer offer various workshops on chocolate tasting you help you get the best from it and to understand and appreciate why craft chocolate is the way to go. He also provides the delivery of 4 new bars of craft every month. It's like your birthday once a month.

I thought the experience was a great mix of sensory discoveries and realizations, very interesting information (on a large range of topics), fun and reflection.
I really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the event and how flexible Spencer was in his approach. The fact that he followed the group's interests and questions made the experience feel like a conversation as well as a reflection on a lot of topics.
I learnt a lot and I feel I left the session with great tools for tasting, not just chocolate but any type of food.
It also gave me a lot to think of on my habits as a consumer and the responsibility that comes with my choices. It encouraged me to be more aware of what I consume, not just for the health benefits and taste.
Thank you Cocoa Runners, this was a truly great experience!

Phenomenal sensory experience, a couple hours of a rollercoaster flavours and tastes of chocolate from all around Brazil. Spencer is the showmaster extraordinaire of chocolate who mixes science, sociology, history and more into helping you understand the world of chocolate, the stories of the farmers and their crops and how the differing flavour profiles are created. I will enjoy chocolate from now on in a new way. Highly Recommend.

I really enjoyed the Cocoa Runners evening. I learnt a lot about the industry and the huge differences between craft chocolate and supermarket brands, quality of cocoa , production, additives environmental and ethical issues which I was not aware of .
I would have liked more time to understand and recognise the tasting notes and profiles of the craft chocolates we tasted .

Fantastic chocolate tasting session for a friend’s Stag Do. Really enjoyable, entertaining and informative. Spencer was excellent and very engaging. The chocolate (and wine) was great and we learnt a lot. Will never buy rubbish chocolate again! Definitely recommend

As a lover of chocolate but ignorant about so many issues relating to it (eg taste/flavour, economics, environmental impact, corporate politics) this session was a revelation. Spencer did a a superb job informing, challenging and entertaining us during the course of an enjoyable couple of hours. And we ate some wonderful chocolate! Well worth signing up for.

I took my partner to a chocolate tasting evening as a birthday gift and we had a wonderful time. We both learned so much about the history of chocolate, as well as the science behind taste and flavours. The class was really well designed and it felt like going on a taste and flavour journey - one exercise in particular blew my mind! It also really opened my eyes to how problematic the chocolate industry is, and I am now committed to no longer buying junk chocolate. Thank you Spencer and Jen for such a great workshop, your passion was inspiring and we will definitely be attending again :-)
