Hinckley/Once again I am very disappointed with…
Once again I am very disappointed with my experience at Cohens Chemist.
Shocking service! The staff behaving very unprofessional.
They charged me for two boxes of my medications but I received only one. Obviously they blamed a doctor. They expect me to go and request another prescription and pay again! Last year was a similar situation. I was prescribed 2 boxes of my medications and I received only one because of the stock shortage. When I came a second time to collect my missing medication they wanted to charge me once again!!! Even after I showed them my receipt.
There is something cunning going on... Do no go there! Avoid at all costs Cohen Pharmacy in Hinckley!

Just changed to here from a different chemist.
Bone idle is the word I would use.
They got my prescription but still not made up when called to collect it this afternoon.
Told them I’d be back on Monday let’s see if it’s done then.
The pharmacist looked dozy & couldn’t be bothered.
Heard few similar stories about the Haslingden branch. Not sure why they bother going to work.

I’ve been a customer at the branch at Mowbray Square Harrogate since it first opened. However, I’ve found the service increasingly lacking to a point where patient welfare and care are put in jeopardy. I have a repeat prescription for which I have to have a specific brand due to having an allergy to milk. This allergy is listed in my medical records and on my prescription notes yet every time this is ignored. The staff have blatantly lied to my face and told me that they can’t order specific brands in which I know to be a lie as I have family in pharmacy. They have utterly ignored the note stating it must be teva brand despite having the stock in the back after I’ve demanded it be changed, this has happened multiple times! Instead of not making that part of the prescription up they constantly make it up with the wrong brand. If I wasn’t so attentive to my brands of medication this could kill me. I have no trust in this branch and no trust in your company moving forward. Allergies are life threatening, full retraining for all members of staff including the pharmacists signing off on the prescriptions is clearly needed as this could prove fatal.
Disgusting customer service and staff are rude especially when I pay for my prescriptions

Went into your Walton Le Dale shop last week with my prescription where there was one person in front of me talking with 4 female members of staff.
I waited 5 minutes but nobody came to serve me so I walked out in disgust. This is why the firm I used to work for only employed male employees.More work less talking.
I use the Anglicised version of my name, Peter Dansie. I have to praise this pharmacy - excellent customer service on the telephone and whenever I visit too. I also would like to mention the delivery guy - a mature man, who is always cheerful, friendly and very helpful. So far I have never waited more than 4 days from order to delivery. Outstanding service. Thank you.

Why do they send texts to collect prescriptions when all the items aren’t there! Meaning repeat visits in long queues.

The staff at the Featherstone branch are always so friendly and helpful. Yes it does get busy as does every chemist but they work hard to serve you quickly.

At the counter of Cohens Menston with my box of lemsip I wanted to purchase
2 staff audibly chatting about a personal matter
I waited , cleared my throat , one looked at me then carried on chatting
I waited 30 seconds and then said “ can I pay for this please “
Response “ just a minute “
They carried on chatting
Then one of the untidy slovenly looking staff facilitated my purchase but with no apology or other courtesy for the delay
Garforth Main Street Cohens are fantasic and really care about their customers. The team are always friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble and they go above and beyond to source medication for me another pharmacy was unable to supply.

Issued expired medicine. The antibiotics medicine is issued it is already expired three months back. The funny part is that pharmacist also check and signed it.

The West Byfleet branch fails to meet the needs of the community by not opening Saturday and Sunday and closing for an hour for lunch. The range of products offered are way below what is expected and limited to just medical needs. Where are the shampoos, nappies etc etc. This outlet is living in the 1950s. We shall be pressing for another pharmacy and if necessary the revocation of Cohens licence here.
Reading other reviews there is a boiler plate response to each complaint from the company demonstrating there is no proper consideration of the issues raised.

I have given one star as that’s the minimum aloud. I ordered 7 items on prescription from my GP on the 24.12.25. I went to pick these up on the 27.12.25 from Otley Cohens chemist. I was given one back of items. When I got home I noticed only two items of what I had ordered. I assumed it was possibly the mistake of my GPs as Cohens had not said they had another bag of items which were delivered to them at the same time as the first bag. I GP confirmed they had sent the prescription to Cohens with the requested seven items. I went back to Cohens on the 2.1.26. The lady looked around the shop having viewed the information on their system. Eventually she brought another bag from the back saying they had become separated. This bag was in their store at the time I went to pick up on my first visit. There was no explanation as to how this was not given to me at the first visit. I said the words that I was disappointed as I had missed taking important medications. A blonde haired lady stood behind the serving lady who I was not in conversation with said “if you don’t like the service you can go somewhere else” That’s an horrendous thing to say to a customer at anytime. What motivates an assistant of a chemist to say such an abhorrent statement to a customer when it was they who had messed up. This lady should not be working in a customer faced position being that rude and nasty to an elderly customer just wanting their medication. I have since taken my custom to Boots. Train your staff in better customer service Cohens without customers you don’t have a business. I will report this to my GP surgery too. I am quite shocked with her response to be honest.

Liverpool Argyle St Branch
I would just like to commend the great service that I have always received from Cohen’s Chenist Liverpool Argyle St.
Whilst the pharmacists seem to change regularly, the pharmacy assistance team are always incredibly helpful, kind and patient.
I’ve been going through quite a health challenge this year and helpfulness and ‘can do’ attitude of the STAFF at the Argyle Street branch has been very much appreciated. It often not particularly the dispensing of medications, whilst this is important, it’s how the staff help and support people. So a very big thank you and shout out to the Argyle Street branch of Cohens Liverpool.

I started with symptoms of a uti on Monday, I clicked on their app my antibiotics and was rejected and called back to say I can’t have them, really struggled to understand what I was being told but I have a kidney transplant and had an agreement with my consultant and gp that when I get symptoms I’m to order cefalaxyn immediately to prevent me going into hospital for Christmas this time.
I managed to sort the meds with my dr but I’m now 5 days into a uti and feel so poorly I now think I’ll have to go to a&e and spend Christmas Day in Manchester royal infirmary! I have a son who might be without his mum opening his presents.
I know my own body and the amount of red table after red tape is getting ridiculous.

Cohen's Chemist in Salford Langwothy Road. The pharmacists are extremely helpful and professional. They always give the right advice. I’ve sent my son on several occasions for different issues, and they were always supportive and knowledgeable. I will definitely continue to use this pharmacy.
