The easiest way to arrange a collection!
I've used Collection Pot a few times for work collections (birthdays, weddings etc) and it really couldn't be easier. You just set the pot up and send everyone the link and it's all done for you. So much easier than getting cash or bank transfers from people. Communication is good as it tells you when someone has put money in and reminds you when it's closing. I find it very convenient.

Very good service making virtual…
Very good service making virtual collections easy. You can choose your card and then make it so that money can be collected for that person, or not. The money is able to be transferred into your own account so that you can buy what the individual would like or buy the things they offer. Just completed 11 cards some with money some without. Altogether a very good experience.

The site is easy to use
The site is easy to use. I set up a pot to collect for my friend's maternity leave. People found it easy to donate and at the end it was easy to access the collection and there was a range of ways to spend the money. I chose to have it transferred to my bank and go shopping. The transfer was instant and the whole process very smooth

Convenient but not a transparent fee structure.
I suppose a convenient service, but forced fees saying between £0-£2 or whatever it said to then deduct the given amount. It's not transparent.

Good Idea but with its down points.
Good way to start collections for any event, however somewhat confused why everyone is mandated to make an additional contribution, or if not, their contribution is reduced into the final amount. As far as I am aware the contributor would not be aware of this.

Its a good site, and easy to use.
The only downside was when you decided to contribute towards the fees, it doesn't tell you how much they are and you can inadvertently pay more.

Easy to use, trustworthy
I used collection pot to collect money for a gift voucher for a colleague. It was easy to use and I made sure to verify my identity before collecting money. I was very happy with it and would recommend using it for money collection.

They sneakily add a default top up 18% payment (3.60) so you need to be aware and change this. They can pay their own "processing and platform costs" !

I am having real problems trying to get…
I am having real problems trying to get into my account, reseting password emails do not arrive, tried multiple times to go through their chat on line with no answer neither from the auto service or a human (as they call them), getting very stressed as i have a retirment event tomorrow and i cannot get the funds out with only 1 email from the company and still not fixed the problem. Communication is shocking.

I donated £25.00 to a cause and…
I donated £25.00 to a cause and Collection Pot suggested I pay another £2.50 so that the collection got the full £25.00. I didn't want to do that so I declined. They then took 68p from me and sent £24.32 to the cause.
So why ask for £2.50 instead of 68p and where does the other £1.82 go to.

When making a contribution, contributors have the option to add a voluntary top-up to help support Collection Pot and keep the platform running. This suggested amount is entirely optional, and you’re free to decline it, as you did in this case.
The 68p that was deducted is the standard card processing fee applied to card payments, which helps cover the costs charged by payment providers to securely process the donation. The larger suggested contribution (£2.50 in this case) is separate and would have gone towards supporting the platform, not the collection itself.
