So far, I have found my experience with Coolstays very good.
I have booked a treehouse getaway for my husband and I for this June.
The booking has been easy, the communication with the owner with questions etc. all really good!
Let’s hope it’s as fabulous as it looks on the description and photos, and if it is I will come back and leave another review!! 🌟

Words cannot describe and pictures cannot do justice. Private.. quiet. Stunning…surrounded by nature and the sound of birdsong.. a visiting deer. Evening saunas and cold/hot showers out in the night air.. early coffees in the sun…snuggling in the pouring rain.. this place is literally beautiful. So close to pootle to a pub or the beach or to pick up yummy treats from Felicity’s. The owners are so kind too. We will be back as soon as we can.

Very unusual cabin. Full of surprises. Had a wonderful time. Kitchen could have been better equipped but that shouldn’t put off guests from booking. Owner friendly, very helpful and always at hand should you need anything. Wonderful village pub just a 2 minute walk from the cabin. Great food and beers.

Dovecot Cottage was everything we were looking for and more... We love unique, unusual, quirky places to stay and this is 101% that! We mostly just 'cooried in' (why would you stay somewhere so beautiful and then go out?!) We food shopped locally (Waitrose is the 'corner shop') and cooked in the wee kitchen that had everything we needed to rustle up a 'steak night', a 'pasta night' and a 'deli grazing night', then drank wine, played music and watched tv. The bathroom is a fabulous, spacious wet room and the bedroom is amazing... You feel like you're sleeping suspended in the tower surrounded by illuminated ancient dove nesting boxes. very romantic ;) Lovely outdoor space too, easy to forget you're so close to the city centre. Our objective was to 'live' in this area of Edinburgh for a few days and nights, an area that we usually just drive through on the way to the city centre, explore it's shops, cafes and restaurants and we did that, wandering along Bruntsfield Place and Morningside Road. We don't very often repeat our 'Mr&MrsSmith Wee Break’ venues, but this one may be the exception to our rule.
 
 

 

 

What can we say?!? The place was perfect for our quiet retreat!! The cabin was clean and had a very warming homely feel. That double bath when weather permitted was FANTASTIC!!!!!! One of the days we literally spent all day in it!

The roofing over the bed is amazing! It's glass! Seeing the stars just WOW inside the cabin or outside on the chairs with the firepit!

When first entering we had a herd of deer running right in front of us! Spotting birds was relaxing the fire pit was relaxing.

If i were to say...maybe having a couple more board games or puzzles. Where there is no wifi or screen (which to be honest suited us) on rainy days wouldve been nice. Maybe a birding book? and Binoculars?

The owners are so easy to talk to when booking, they are professional and very quick to reply!

Looking forward to trying out their other places!
Perfect place to stay for a hideaway from just the rush of living! Great place to reset! Go off grid and just chill!!!

Extensive range of properties to select from. The representation of the properties is first class, images are well executed and give a very clear idea of aspects of a property which will appeal. Booking process very simple and straightforward.

Wonderful place to get away from it all. The lodge was beautifully clean with everything we needed.

Coolstays is a booking platform a bit like Airbnb. It’s really good because you book directly with the owners inside the platform which is a safer way to book and they gave some fantastic properties in there. It was easy to navigate too. I would book with them again for sure.

We had a perfect stay at The Cob. The hosts, Lynn and Simon are the loveliest and most accommodating people! The breakfast is superb, and the property is gorgeous and cosy - we really didn't want to leave!

The cottage was in a great location, beautiful views, well equipped and high standard, and hosts happy to help with any queries. View from master bedroom so gorgeous to wake up to - comfy chairs in the window can sit and watch the sky sea birds - awesome. Easy access to the south coastal path.

Huge selection of unique properties at a range of prices to suit most budgets! Great last minute deals too.

Have never experienced such a perfect little holiday. We felt as if we were in a fairytale! The place was so homey and warm and the shared bathroom was spotless. All the little extras there were, the wheelbarrows for luggage, hot cocoas and on-site shop added alot to the amazing experience. The hosts were very kind, lighting the fire for us so we would arrive to a warm cabin, giving us ideas for days out nearby, and helping us out when we locked ourselves out at night! Will definetly be back!

Booked a holiday through coolstays, it was cheaper than on other sites and has quick and efficient so far.
