Shameful customer service no morals

Stolen and lost parcels is a common theme. But what is far worse is Correos customer service who are unhelpful and stupid.

Insured a parcel of jewellery for €1000 and paid Correos €60 for the privilege. When it was ‘lost’ they refused to pay out more that €26. They wanted jewellery receipts!!! I managed to find most of them BUT STILL WONT PAY.

Lots of stalling techniques. This is illegal and fraud. Bad enough their transit employees are stealing without customer service stealing too. Pretending not to understand concept of Insurance!! Terrible fraudulent company. Shame on you.

They paid up eventually but only because I pursued them relentlessly. Took a year and over 100 emails. Don’t give up!

Terrible service, lost mail, and no support

I sent a highly important express letter to Dubai with Correos on January 30th. Since then, I have received no updates. The tracking has not been updated since the day of dispatch, and my shipment now appears to be lost.

The worst part is that when I visited the post office where I sent the letter, they told me that tracking is not available for shipments to Dubai—something they never mentioned at the time of sending. Yet, I was assured that it would be delivered within five business days.

In an attempt to resolve this situation, I have contacted Correos through every possible channel: online claim submission via customer service, Twitter, Messenger, and all the social media platforms where they are supposedly active. No response, no tracking update, no solution offered.

What am I supposed to do now? Does Correos take responsibility? My shipment is lost, and their customer service is completely non-existent.

If you need to send an important letter internationally, avoid Correos at all costs. Lack of transparency, complete incompetence, and no support when things go wrong.

I made a purchase from Spain on 22nd February 2025, a full size bicycle. Immediately I received confirmation of dispatch. At 08.30 on 26th February I received notification of delivery complete to my address in Scotland. Needless to say no bike. They do not have GPS tracking or photo of doorstep delivery.
I have asked for this proof of delivery as police require this before they can check our apartment block CTTV, now they won't communicate with me as my details, they sent me, don't match what they have on file.
3.5 days to deliver a bike from Spain, either they are exceptionally fast using their own logistics or?.
The above is a truthful statement of fact. AliExpress have made a refund.

Simply hopeless

Simply hopeless. Their service, or lack thereof, harks back to the days gone by when public institutions could get away with anything. They seldom deliver, most often claiming there was no one in (more likely just too lazy to attempt a delivery) and then you have to fight their hostile attitude when collecting the package from their office yourself (having paid for the delivery). Stay clear if you can at all costs - using alternative logistic companies and delivery agents, even perhaps at a higher cost is worth it , even just to preserve your calmness !

Extortionate Customs & Stolen Packages

They add double its value in Customs from their friends the UK (none if from China), even an Xmas card is kept ransom or items very rarely get returned. Must be like Xmas every day for who ever steals the packages and continually damages the reputation of Spain's National Postal system, Correos. Or maybe none of that happens and packages vanish in to thin air, at no fault of Correos & many who complain are totally wrong. Complaint withdrawn.

Absolutely dreadful

Absolutely dreadful. No one where I lives gets any letter post, we think they just chuck it in a bin rather than deliver it. As for parcels they are a joke. No clue given as to when they will deliver, its a miracle if you ever get it. Won’t deliver if you are not in unlike all the other couriers, they just expect you to wait in all day every day. If they do deliver they are like the police and demand your ID to hand it over. The offices are the slowest couldn’t careless operation in Spain. At our one customers arrives early, take their numbered ticket and then go for breakfast as they know they won’t get seen for at least 1-2 hours. They are living in the dark ages and so so slow and lazy.

Worst delivery company

Worst delivery company. We order parcels regularly through Amazon and whenever a parcel comes via Correos it's guaranteed not to be delivered. After calling customer service, it was made clear that if you live in a gated community, they will not attempt to enter if the gate is closed. Which is ridiculous considering all they have to do is buzz the door number at the gate or call the telephone number provided when placing an order. After waiting for them to do the two "attempted deliveries" (which in 95% of cases we are home!) that they claim to do, we then have to go to the office and collect it ourselves, which makes having amazon prime pointless. We have even requested through amazon to avoid sending out our parcels via Correos where possible but still seem to get them quite alot. I would recommend anyone in a gated community not using them.

Just horrible!

Just horrible!
Their tracking information doesn't have information. They don't take a picture of the item as a proof of delivery and it is a Haven for people to use them to trick buyers that they sent a package and tracking number. No important information is given and their support is a mess if you get to find someone.

I received many shipments from them for…

I received many shipments from them for my company over the year as many of our parts seem to be sent to us via them. Allways terrible service. Things lost or never arriving always. Constantly not even trying to deliver the packages and putting absent in the tracking multiple times with no attempt to call us even though I have been open the entire day with people around. When the drivers do call me they tell me and I explain where I am they tell me it's impossible for deliveries to go in there and I need to go to them outside of the business complex. Meanwhile, while I watch other couriers pass right by them to deliver packages inside the complex... Do not use this company if you can manage. use any other mail service.

Correos utter crap

Like everyone else I agree they are a terrible company and the similar Correct Express is just as bad. Had shoes delivered to the wrong house on our street and the courier claimed he could not remember which house it was. We were told he would pay us compensation and after two weeks of waiting on him he only paid us half the amount ! We have many other stories of items not showing up but being marked as 'delivered'. They are a very dishonest company like many companies here in Spain. Unreachable or suddenly having problemas with their systems as soon as a refund is due. Country is a joke.

Awful company

Awful company, can’t believe Spanish people have to deal with this service. As someone from the UK with a subpar delivery service (Royal Mail) I am even shocked with how bad correos is. Whenever I order something they manage to lose the parcel or return it to the sender or just not deliver it for some reason. The workers clearly aren’t bothered about getting peoples parcels to them so they people just don’t receive their parcels. Awful awful service, if you can avoid using this company please do.

Worst ever experience of the Valencià…

Worst ever experience of the Valencià Correos Branch. I’m trying to run my small business and just one problem after another. Someone needs to be taken accountable for this. First message problem of package second message no one was address and claimed to have called me but I haven’t received nothing on top of that I wait the whole day.. By far worst experience.

It's a scam

They tried to charge us 58€ in customs paperwork fees for a dumb 10£ soap bar gift. If we hadn't been carefully following the package in correosaduanas.es (which fails to load most of the time), they would have tried to charge that absurd amount of money to the gift's recipient.

I would give them a negative if…

I would give them a negative if possible. This is the most useless courier company I have ever used. Package got sent from UK. Was supposed to take 7-9 days. It took way longer but that’s not the frustrating bit. There was no updates on the website as per the parcel; it was stuck on “in transit” for so long. Then I receive a message saying they tried to deliver. Mind you; no calls , no number to call, nothing ! Then I check their site and see that they updated the status for days on end that morning. Message also had no details asides the tracking number which I already had. I download their app; all in Spanish no way to translate and they know they have international customers.
Reach out to them on Instagram, they gave me an address and that’s all. Got there, they tell me there’s a 45 euros custom charge and they also need a physical copy of my passport….why the heck did no one tell me this. Found time to go 2 days later, they tell me it’s cash they want. She’s explaining the way the bank is to me; the he**l. I just move here and I don’t even have an account talk more of a card. I’m so pissed right now. They are a total mess

Incompetent.

I can confirm that they are truly the worst. My shipment, inside europe, has been a month now, they can't tell me when it will arrive. It just sits in places for weeks until I raise another support request then it moves somewhere else. I don't have much hope that it will arrive, and if it does, there won't be anyone there to collect it. It was supposed to take 5 days (and even that is bad).
