THIS IS A ZERO-STAR REVIEW:
THIS IS A ZERO-STAR REVIEW:
Although I've never dealt with Acer before, I did for the first time on Tuesday 10-7-25. I won't leave a biography of what happened but my friends laptop was under a one-year warranty from Acer and Costco. Being told by Costco's warranty department to send her laptop to Acer, she'd put the laptop inside a box, bubble wrapped it and sent it a few days before my arrival. At the FedEx drop off location, that box was then put inside another box. The laptop screen had gotten colored horizontal lines across it and that's why she'd sent it in.
It arrived at Acer via FedEx and the box was in a disgusting state with a broken screen. That was nothing to do with my friend. She'd completed her side of the arrangement.
On the evening of Tuesday 10-7-25 I'd spent two and a half hours on the phone, partly with Costco's warranty service with a gentleman by the name of Minall (sp). This conversation went around in circles and I had to explain to him four times what the situation was.
Acers rep Chris said that Acer would call back the next day. Nobody at Acer has ever called back!
The sad thing about this whole story is I've never heard of anybody having an issue with a return at Costco ever and this ended up being a complete nightmare.
That same evening and getting nowhere with the Costco warranty department phone call, I ended up calling somebody else in the Costco organization on behalf of my friend. That manager in a completely different state called the Costco store in Utah, where this laptop was originally purchased.
I was told that there'd be no problems going back to that store with the laptop, after it had been returned from Acer.
Two days later I went with my friend to this particular Costco with the laptop in a box and unopened from its return from Acer.
I wasn't impressed with Travis who worked at this Costco location at all and the time that it took him to sort this simple return out.
In fact it took Travis so long that in the end I called the original person who I'd spoken to at another Costco store 2 days beforehand. I then put that manager on the phone with Travis to verify with him what had been arranged.
The individual in this Utah location of Costco who'd been called 2 days before and had verified to my Costco contact in another state, said there'd be 'No problems' returning the laptop. This simple message was never passed on to Travis at the return merchandise department.
This was a 20 to 25 minute unnecessary ordeal and a complete waste of our time.
I'll never deal with Acer again and I think their customer service stinks.
As for Costco I'm very, very disappointed with this whole affair.
I had a terrible experience with…
I had a terrible experience with Costco. A customer service representative gave me completely wrong information about a promotion and told me to make a specific purchase, promising I’d receive a refund. I followed their exact instructions — but instead of fixing their mistake, Costco charged me extra, canceled my membership without notice, and now expects me to take responsibility for their error.
I’ve spent hours on chats and phone calls trying to get help, but every representative gives a different excuse. I trusted Costco for honesty and professionalism, but this experience showed me the opposite. I just wanted a simple resolution, not endless blame-shifting and frustration
Bloody ridiculous
Bloody ridiculous. Costco don’t want disabled people buying from there stores. My mum tried to get her card renewed and was told no.i applied as I’m disabled (which isn’t my fault Costco) and was told no , hang your heads in shame scumbags
No Installation Services
We ordered an oven from Costco.com. From everything written on the website, it seemed as if it would be delivered, installed, and the old one taken away. Not so! It was delivered. Driver said we'd have to make another appointment for installation. I got an appointment, but didn't receive a time for installation. I contacted them and was told the appointment was cancelled because they had no one in our area that did installations. Needless to say, we made an appointment to have it picked up and returned.

Poor packing
My order ended up spilling all over the box. They didn't pack the 6.6 lbs of Nutella properly, which caused everything to get damaged. I reached out to customer service, and they told me they would replace everything, so I'm okay with that. They mentioned that I shouldn't throw away the damaged items because I need to return it which is I think is a stupid idea as it could attract ants and bugs because of the spilled Nutella. They promised to call me in 5 to 7 days to arrange a pickup. I agreed to wait for them to collect it because I have no choice. They said they will charge me I don't return them. While they did replace some items, it was incomplete! Now, they want me to reorder and refund the items they didn’t send.
No $40 Executive upgrade shop card
I purchased a Gold Star membership online from one of those coupon sites for $65 and it included a $45 "shop card," which I later received by email. But when I went to the warehouse to get my Gold Star card, I was offered a $65 upgrade to the Executive membership and THAT would include a $40 shop card. I explained to the woman at the Customer Service desk that I was already getting a $45 shop card from the Gold Star membership, but she told me that had nothing to do with the $40 shop card for the upgrade and I plopped down another $65 plus tax. Over a month later, never receiving the $40 shop card, I contacted Costco on chat and was told that I had already received a $45 shop card and to check my junk email folder. I explained that the $45 was for the Gold Star membership and the agent was too ignorant or pig-headed to understand that $45 was a completely different amount than the long-standing $40 upgrade bonus. However, she was completely okay with me visiting the warehouse this coming week to cancel the whole thing for a full refund. I can hardly wait to go to the warehouse to be told I'm only entitled to the upgrade refund and that I don't even get to keep my Gold Star membership OR the $45 shop card that had NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with my Executive upgrade. I was always a Sam's Club guy and it looks like I'll just have to drive an extra few miles to go there. Sam's Club has NEVER cheated me.

We were deeply upset by our recent experience at this Costco location. My husband was denied access to the restroom unless we left our merchandise behind the register. When we raised our concern, two managers insisted this was “company policy,” but when asked for the written policy, they refused to provide it. I later searched online and found no such policy — in fact, I found the opposite.
When I pointed this out, the managers said it was “at their discretion” and told us we were not allowed to be upset about the employee yelling at my husband, even though it drew unwanted attention from other customers. They stated the employee “was doing the right thing” and that nothing would be done.
This experience felt discriminatory and humiliating. It has shaken our trust in Costco, and we are filing a formal complaint with corporate. We expect better treatment and transparency from a company that prides itself on customer service.
Great Deals
They have awesome bulk prices and quality finds. It's hard to leave without buying way more than you planned
Poor Handling of a dispute due to fraud
After being a Costco member for 29 years, I have never had any complaints until last month, and my dissatisfaction was with Citi Costco Credit Card and the way they did not handle my dispute. There was a charge of $34.90 from a company named Hibozo that neither my wife nor I transacted with. I wrote them and explained this to them. They came back telling me that the charge is our responsibility and to deal with that company directly. I contacted them and the guy could not even tell me how it was that I was charged, just that they had the last two numbers of my credit card and my last name. All they could do was ensure that I would not be charged again. That is not satisfactory. I wrote back to Citi Costco and told them again that it was not my charge. They did not even offer to provide me with a replacement card since in my opinion, my card was compromised. My credit is excellent but what they are telling me is that they do not believe me, which is very insulting to me.
Food for a gathering
I came to Costco to buy food for a small gathering of friends the selection was great and the food was great for the party. Great place for big groceries!
We love our local Costco
We love our local Costco. You can return anything basically anytime (not electronics).
Their generous return policy keeps us coming as does the price.
Too many negative reviews by entitled people crying over spilt milk.
Absolutely horrendous customer service
Absolutely horrendous customer service. I was locked out of my account and could not do a password. Reset I spent almost 2 hours and five phone calls with Costco online because I needed to find the receipts for items that I have issues with or needed to return after much frustration I have decided to write this review.
Customer service agents are clueless. They read the notes and then tell you exactly what to do that doesn’t work or you asked for them to send you a return label and what do they do? They send you an email that directs you to print your label and send you right back to the Costco site where you cannot enter with your password. I was told that they were having some technical difficulty but after a week of . Clueless customer service reps I am going to have to escalate this situation, not being able to access receipts nor able to return items unless you physically go into the store is not what I signed up for my executive membership.
We have many disabled veterans that cannot go into the store and so they rely on this online process. I am a veteran and I find it very frustrating that Costco would treat us this way. I would strongly suggest to keep away until they get better customer service.
Great company
Great company! Has its pros and cons, but I am a loyal customer here!
They have a lot of parking, but it can be hard to find any, even on a weekday. The lines are pretty long. Best time to come is on a weekday right after it opens, but most people work during that time.
I love the employees here! They are so friendly and kind! They always do their best to help you. I dropped my credit card there and they helped me find it!
The other shoppers are very rude and ruin the whole experience. They let their kids run around, while screeching at the top of their lungs. They park their cart in the middle of a busy aisle and push you in a crowd. They’ll even try to cut you in line and have run over my feet before.
Costco punished me by suspending my card for three months
I have been very disappointed with my recent experience at Costco. Even though I paid my full membership fee, my card was suspended for three months. This happened after I returned a coffee machine that did not work properly. Instead of simply processing my return, Costco punished me by suspending my card for three months, which is extremely unfair.
As a paying member, I expect fair treatment and customer service that respects consumer rights. It is unacceptable to punish a customer for returning a faulty product. This experience has made me lose trust in Costco, and I am reconsidering whether to continue my membership in the future.
new orleans dublin st costco is the best!!
based on New Orleans Dublin St warehouse… high quality products sold at great value by well paid experienced staff who are genuinely kind friendly and knowledgeable. over 10 years open and rarely notice much turnover. have purchased major appliances, used delivery service and have ordered online…. deliveries were always well communicated, delivered on time & professionally!
Loyal Executive Member disappointed by unresolved appliance defect
I have been a Costco Executive Member for many years and have purchased numerous items from them, ranging from major appliances — including two dishwashers and two refrigerators — to smaller household items and even furniture. I chose Costco repeatedly because I trusted their products, service, and commitment to members.
However, my experience with one of my purchases has been very disappointing. I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher (Model: KDTM404KPS) three years ago. From the very beginning, it leaked at the bottom door corner. The door was eventually replaced under warranty, but now, just a year later, rust has developed in the same location where the door attaches to the body. This is not merely a cosmetic concern — it affects the structural integrity and proper functioning of the appliance.
Despite multiple calls to Costco Technical & Warranty Services and clear documentation of the issue, the problem remains unresolved. I understand that warranties have limitations, but this is a recurring defect directly tied to the original leak and repair. Given my long-standing loyalty and substantial purchases, I expected Costco to offer a higher level of goodwill support.
I am hoping that Costco will take this matter seriously and provide a resolution, whether through repair, replacement, or another form of goodwill assistance. I believe this is consistent with the high level of service and member support that Costco advertises and that loyal Executive Members expect.
I am disappointed that Costco has not addressed this persistent defect and hope that future members are aware of these limitations. I am sharing my experience in the hope that Costco improves their handling of ongoing appliance defects, particularly for long-term Executive Members.
Exect to spend hours getting tires put on.
I had a 11:30 appointment at the Costco Tucson Marketplace. Even though I was on time, they did not even hoist up my car until one hour and 40 minutes later. No explanation, no apologies. Completely unacceptable behavior. Never again will I buy tires from Costco.
