Ordered online but no confirmation of order
Tried to order a present for friends, but the app took an age to load and then took the money from my PayPal but the confirmation page never opened, just went back to the order page. Had a notification that the money had come out of my bank but when logging in to my account there was no order.
Sent an inquiry email to the contact email but got an automatic reply from an AI bot asking my to confirm address and emails I’d already entered.
I’m sure it’s just partly due to the busy time of year, but it appears that other people have issues with the website and I wish I’d read the reviews before purchasing.
I’ll now be chasing my refund, and hope it’s just a glitch and gets resolved quickly for other buyers.

I was gifted an afternoon tea by a friend which was a nice surprise and much appreciated. It was well presented and all looked very nice. However, having now had the tea, I wouldn’t buy it again myself. The scones were quite dry and the amount of clotted cream provided was far too little for four scones - just two tiny glass jars provided, which is only really enough to spread on like you would with butter, rather than dollop on like I would choose to do if preparing it ourselves

Overpriced for what it is and the delivery process is not great. They just left the package next to the door despite that the person was at home. Didn’t call the door or phone, I needed to follow up and ask the person to pick it up despite that I wanted it to be a present/surprise

We're really sorry the delivery experience let this one down. A gift left silently on the doorstep when someone was home, and the surprise ruined as a result, is genuinely frustrating and we'll be raising the driver behaviour with DPD directly.
On the value, every cake is made entirely from scratch using real ingredients throughout, with no artificial additives, preservatives or flavour enhancers. That's what separates us from commercial alternatives and we stand behind that fully.
On the website reviews point, we have numerous independent ways to review such as Google, Trustpilot and Reviews.io and all of these have the capability to leave much less than a 4 star review if necessary. We do not have a direct review service that we are in control of.

Not customer friendly
Not a company that wants to keep customers. I was 3 days late to use a voucher and now I've lost £50. It's my fault that I didn't remember the date but stealing £50 from me because I was 3 days late to buy something from them means I will never buy anything from them again.

We do need to gently push back on the word "stealing." Vouchers carry an expiry date that is communicated at the time of purchase, and we aren't able to honour them indefinitely. That's a standard retail policy rather than anything done against you.

Ordered a cake that was delivered to the wrong address. The company took full responsibility and refunded a small item that was missing from the parcel. They then also made a gesture of goodwill which was much appreciated. A really good example of accepting responsibility and making amends when things go awry.

A frustrating experience + poor quality cake - be warned delivery is not reliable
Update :
After missing the delivery date and getting the cake after the birthday I was glad it was not delivered on time to start with. The cake is an over procedure (double proce after discount) of a supermarket cake. It is dry and exactly similar to what you get in Tesco's or siansbury's for under £7.
The delivery was cancelled the day before the birthday. the delivery service has a new delivery date , on the day of the birthday between 8am and 8pm so there is a risk of missing the birthday all together. customer service said sorry but we can not do anything. I had to go buy another cake.
the stress about the cake plus the extra cost of the new cake (and the redundant cake I will now have ). it is all too much for me.
note , they refunded the £5.95 delivery fee which doesn't exactly help but for fairness i need to mention that.
conclusion be warry if you have an occasion , they are not reliable.

I have ordered from them before. Cakes come in good condition and fresh. Easy to order and the cakes are amazing. They keep in contact through the whole process before delivery. Would recommend to anyone.
