My husband and I chose Itinerary 2 because it included seeing the Geevor Tin Mine. David is a great host, and our small group quickly became friends. We saw so many lovely towns. The tin mine was a hi... See more

Wonderful Cornwall Experience
We enjoyed a wonderful experience with David on his Cornwall Itinerary 1. His knowledge of the area, relaxed approach, and sense of humor made him an excellent guide. Since we usually travel independently, we really enjoyed the small size of the tour group and the flexibility he provided that allowed us to enjoy each stop in our own way after being provided with an introduction to each location prior to arrival. He was also very helpful with providing answers to our questions prior to the trip. The itinerary was well planned and provided a good sense of the history, culture, and beauty of Cornwall.
The Magic of Cornwall
This was my first visit to Cornwall and it will not be my last. David is the perfect tour guide with a great knowledge of Cornwall and he truly wants to share the magic this place has to offer. You will see spectacular coastline views, incredible gardens and quaint villages. I really like the flexibility of this tour with enough time to explore on your own. He has a great sense of humor and was very quick to answer any of my pretrip questions. I am so glad I chose Daceys Cornish Tours!
Experience the magic of Cornwall
This tour and company is fantastic! The magic of the quiet fishing villages, breathtaking coastal and ocean views, the walks and hikes, mix of structure and flexibility and small tour size make for a truly relaxing and memorable vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed every part of the Cornwall Tour.
Well organized /professional tour, great itinerary with a lot of fun and laughs built in. Would recommend to anyone.
Beautiful Cornwall Through the Eyes of Dacey
Just returned from one of the best tours that I’ve ever been on!! I usually do not sign up for tours but rather plan itineraries through research and reading travel books. As a matter of fact, my wife and I looked into going to Cornwall back in 2017 and thought of seeing the area for a day or two. We didn’t make it to Cornwall back then and am glad that we didn’t. I would have missed out on so much by not joining Dacey's tour!!
We heard about Dacey’s Cornish Tours from our friends and decided to join them on Tour Itinerary 2. Dacey’s Cornish Tours is the perfect tour for Cornwall!! The tour itinerary is well thought out and provides flexibility in activities. I came to see the Cornish landscape and historic sites, which were all beautiful and it didn’t matter whether it was rainy or sunny!! My expectations were met, but what I didn’t expect was the wonderful tour itself! With its small group size, we were all able to closely interact with each other and especially with David Warner (our tour guide) and learned so much of Cornwall’s history that I would not have realized if I had gone on my own! David is a wealth of knowledge on Cornwall’s history and culture. He is very personable, and I can see his love for Cornwall! You can ask him any question about Cornwall, and he has an answer plus a lot more insights!
I developed an appreciation for the Cornish culture and people who are very polite and friendly. I can see why one would want to visit Cornwall but need to stay longer to take in all of its beauty!! David said to me before the trip that once you’ve taken the first tour that you will want to take the second tour!! He is absolutely right!! I can’t wait to take the next tour!!

We had the pleasure to join David (aka “Dacey”) Warner for his Cornwall Itinerary 2 tour June 8 – 14, 2025.
From the first night group dinner in London to the end of the tour in Bodmin, it was nothing but fun. The initial train ride took us through the beautiful countryside of Cornwall to Penzance in its southern tip. Although David allowed us completely free rein to do as much of the tour we wanted or go off on our own, his optional excursions were not to be missed: the ferry to the island of St. Mary’s in the Isles of Scilly and the island itself; the Geevor Tin Mine (we were skeptical of this one but it turned out to be a fascinating tour with a terrific guide); the Bodmin Jail with its amazing stories and recreations of what transpired there so many years ago (we actually stayed in a “jail cell” in the luxurious Bodmin Jail Hotel!); the 500 year old Prideaux House (site of numerous movies and TV series familiar to us all); the remarkable stone arrangements in Bodmin Moor; and “creamed tea” (not at all what you think it is!) at the famous Jamaica Inn.
It was the trip of a lifetime with a tour guide (David) who was engaging, full of personality with a fantastic sense of humor, and saw to it that every need was met and clearly, having grown up there, knew everything about Cornwall and happily answered all of our questions.
We highly recommend this entertaining and thoroughly enjoyable tour without hesitation: you simply do not want to miss it!
Memorable Cornwall experience
I have gone with David on each of his itineraries and highly recommend both.
David is very detail oriented and he introduces you to the best of Cornwall and keeps it fun and even-paced. Plan on meeting interesting people too…. If there is ever an itinerary 3… I will be there!!!
Great tour company
Great tour company! This was our second tour of Cornwall and we had nothing but fun! Well planned and well structured tour that allows you to decide what you want most! David is well rounded and personable, always at the ready and full of vigor. He has carefully selected sites and things of interest to keep an even flow. Get your best walking shoes on and try to keep up, David loves to walk!
An Incredibly Rewarding Tour of Cornwall
My husband, daughter and I recently returned from Itinerary 2 of Dacey's Cornwall Tours. None of us had ever done a 'tour' and were wondering what this would be like-- traveling with a small group of folks we'd never met. We were very positively surprised! Our fellow travelers were easy to be with and eager to learn about Cornwall. David has a way of creating an atmosphere of ease and curiosity. He has clearly established solid relationships with people in the places we visited and they enjoy working with him. The selections of Cornish sites and coastal villages were beautiful and interesting. The tour has a great balance of being guided as well as time to explore on your own. I understand now, why people who go on his tours decide to come back!!
I am blown away with Cornwall and…
I am blown away with Cornwall and Daceys Cornish Tours!
The Cornish nature, culture, history, villages, countryside, coastlines and not to mention the local people welcome you in the best way.
To top it all David is an excellent guide who loves Cornwall. He shares gladly and in the most pleasant way his huge knowledge and enthusiasm with everyone in the group.
I highly recommend Daceys Cornish Tours - in fact I will be back for Itinerary 2 next year.
Our Dacey tour was everything and less
Our Dacey tour was everything and less. By that I mean we did a lot but the days were not filled to the maximum, we had time to explore or rest for part of every day. David started out the day with a joke and a fact, a fun start to our mornings. He shared history as we traveled and led us to places with incredible views and history. The tour is a perfect blend of seeing many amazing sights while leaving time for you to venture on your own and view places at your own pace. To me the perfect balance. David would help find ways for each of us to get the most or as little out of an experience as we desired. Love hiking, he would show a way to go for an hour hike while others wished for a coffee shop for some down time, he had the place for that also. If you take tour 1, do not miss the Minack theatre! Yes it is at the end of the day, but well worth it. If you have mobility issues ask for a ticket near the top of the theatre, the acoustics were good high also. Our group was also fabulous coming together or going our separate ways and enjoying what we were doing either way. I truly enjoyed every day of my tour with Dacey.
I had a wonderful time visiting…
I had a wonderful time visiting Cornwall through Dacey's Cornish Tours. The tour was well-organized and well-paced. I enjoyed being able to relax on the bus and/or train, and then to get out and explore the beautiful countryside. I would recommend visiting Cornwall - it is truly spectacular.
Dacey's Cornish Tours is beyond outstanding
Dacey's Cornish Tours is outstanding. Easy, enjoyable, plenty of sights, sounds and adventure.
Great selection of locations, hotels were wonderful, people on the tour were fantastic and Dacey is professional, fun, informative and insightful.
I would not hesitate to book one of his 2 different tours. I was on #2, which takes the train across the country from London to Penzance. The Isles of Scilly are a feature on this tour and it is not to be missed if possible.
5 star from me and fantastic fun no matter what the weather or the temperature!
Beautiful Scenery, Great Guide, Good Hotels: Go with Dacey's for Cornwall!
My husband and I are very glad that we went on this tour--our first small-group tour experience. We got picked up and dropped off in London (very convenient), had a comfortable bus for the whole week, and saw much more of Cornwall than we ever could've seen on our own. We also had the chance to meet some wonderful fellow travelers and have David as our guide. Highlights for us included the castle ruins at Tintagel, the beautiful rocky Cornish coastline (ever present), all the quaint fishing villages (get your camera ready!), and a stop at an ancient stone circle in a farmer's field. Oh: & wandering off on our own in Exeter, at the end of the tour, to attend a service of Evensong at Exeter Cathedral. The days are full--you see a lot--& the hotel accommodations comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotels were. A hot & hearty breakfast is included every morning, and you're on your own for lunch and dinner. It's easy to stay with the larger group for the day but also easy to step away and do things on your own, such as we did with going to Evensong. David, the guide, is good at creating community within the group, and shares much Cornish history and many stories throughout the tour--as well as many suggestions for lunch and dinner. FYI: Prepare to get some exercise. Cornwall is very hilly, and as we heard (& experienced) more than once on the trip, What goes down in Cornwall must also come back up. People with mobility issues will find this tour challenging but not impossible. People without mobility issues will definitely get in their steps & cardio. But... all those steps makes the eating of Cornish pasties less of a guilty pleasure. Highly recommend for those who are curious about this part of the UK.
Don't miss out
My experience was even more fabulous than anticipated. I deeply appreciated the balance between autonomy and the option to be more a part of the group. David's knowledge, which he shares so freely, as well as his stories added a great deal to the experience. Having planned a three-day visit to London just prior to the tour, I really appreciated not worrying about how to get there, where the ticket office was, or where to stay. Accommodations and travel were grand. Wonderful people on my tour. Great mix of people traveling solo and with someone. Highly recommend
Cornwall Revealed!
I loved the variety of sites David showed us throughout Cornwall. His knowledge was deep and his enthusiasm was contagious for this beautiful party of England! Loved the views and breakfasts at the three hotels/castles where we stayed.
Cornwall, I am missing you already!
I've wanted to see the beauty of Cornwall for myself since seeing Doc Martin. It was wonderful. David was a wonderful guide and entertaining too. I laughed a lot, I walked a lot, really a lot, saw amazing sites and learned much about all of Cornwall. I'd love to go back again sometime.
What a memorable trip
What a memorable trip! I have two pieces of advice for my fellow travelers:
1) Put Cornwall near the top of your bucket list! The beauty of the coast and countryside made it reasonable to believe that you were in Camelot. Indeed, we slept at the Camelot Hotel, so believe what you will. The history (so ancient), the culture (food, drink, and music), and the genuine, kind, warm, and proud-to-be Cornish people we met all contributed to the experience. Be prepared for narrow roads and walking paths in a quaint, slumbering part of the UK.
2) Rely on Daceys Cornish Tours to make your visit. Admittedly, it’s the only Cornish tour that I have been on, but it is difficult to imagine a better one. It was selected because it checked my boxes: small group, small vehicle, good reviews. Our guide, David, was very knowledgeable and anecdotal. He’s certainly a people-person who interacted well with all in our group. He was organized, pleasant, considerate, and a perfectly wonderful guy to share a beer with. His humor made the travel time so enjoyable. The drivers were knowledgeable and funny, as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Daceys Cornish Tours.
I'd do it again!
I'd do it again!! Just returned home from Daceys last tour of the 2024 season and I can't say enough good things about it. I've been on many guided group tours but this one was head and shoulders above the others. David is an excellent guide and knowledgeable about the inside details of Cornwall. He managed to bring a group of strangers together to become friends, without being too intense or invasive, and we even began to look forward to his bad jokes! David and Steven and Ed (the bus drivers) typified the humour, the friendliness and down to earth attitude of the Cornish people. I had wanted to do this tour for a long time, and Daceys Tours did not disappoint.
A Joyful Cornwall Tour
Touring Cornwall under the expert guidance of David Warner (Dacey) is a joyful experience. His friendliness and enthusiasm are contagious, making the fourteen or fewer people traveling with him, singly or as a couple, a congenial group. The several costal villages on the itinerary are picturesque, and the verdant countryside is peaceful and beautiful.Transportation in a large bus on the first day and on a smaller Mercedes bus thereafter is comfortable, and with local drivers and David’s interesting, witty, commentary, fun as well .The quality of the lodging is excellent, and you are never far from a good restaurant. If a performance is available, a night at the Minack Theatre is special. The amiable atmosphere throughout is genuine. Overall, a touring pleasure.
