I bought my Dacia Sandero three years ago and have done just over 30,000 miles. The car itself has been reliable with no serious problems. The issue is with the service plan. I paid for 3 annu... See more

Renault / Dacia Warwick UK awful place
Renault Dacia Warwick
What a dreadful place to have to deal with.
We purchased a Dacia Jogger Extreme (BV74 FPO) in early November 2024 brand new. Within a couple of weeks it had a few sensor issues and the anti collision kept activating randomly and slamming its brakes on for no reason, we had proof of dashcam to show nothing was around, they booked it in which took nearly 2 months to find a date for the dealership to get it booked in, during this time the RAC plugged it in and found 70 faults and immediately deemed the vehicle not safe for the road, got taken it and sat around for over a week and they just cleared the codes at the garage without even trying to investigate.
They told me they had done things but unfortunately for them they did not unplug my dash cam and it was continuously recording and it proved they did nothing at all.
Got it back for a day and it had to go straight back in for other sensor faults then they told me they’d change the sensors, another 10 days went by and when I went to collect the car back, they admitted they had done nothing again and tried to blame the faulty sensors on the rain, snow, fog ect what a load of rubbish.
Aftersales Jeromy Hughes, and harry there attitudes towards us was terrible, at one point harry swore at me which he denied but I got this on voice record in my pocket.
This place is just horrible to deal with, before you buy the car they’re all over you like a tonne of bricks but as soon as they sell you the car and you leave with the car and then have an issue, they don’t want to know
We had 5 hire cars in the space of not even 3 months because of how many times the car had to keep going back and they did nothing to it to resolve the issues. We had more hire cars than we had the jogger
The car has now been rejected and gone back indefinitely
We have now got a VW
What a sad state Dacia have become
What a sad state Dacia have become, after 3 dusters and 1 stepway I took the plunge and ordered a Hybrid Extreme on the 11.11.2024, expected delivery was 23rd February 2025, I asked the dealer to order it and hold until 1st March 2025 so I could get the new registration plate. All was going well until the delivery date changed from 23rd February to 3rd March which initially was not a problem. Then a few days ago the date changed to the 10th March but may be as late as 23rd March. Called the dealer and he couldn't understand why it had changed. Unable to find any more info at this point but not looking like I shall get the car any time soon so trying to cancel the order. Looking on the forums most problems are with the GB with deliveries taking over 4 months yet in Scotland and the EU as little as 3 weeks seems the norm.
Crap battery
So took my 22 plate Duster to BSM Derby as it needed a new battery, as not holding charge, had the car for a day and charged me £120 to tell me the battery needed replacing ??? Only warranted for two years and quoted me £365 for a new one, needless to say I sm shopping elsewhere
Dacia Sandero Stepway Disaster
To anybody reading this review it would bode well to acquaint yourself with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 when purchasing a New Dacia.
London West Renault Dealer-car purchased from new and paid cash 4/12/24.Car delivered 10/12/24
Within 17 days of delivery(27/12/24) and with less than 700 miles on the clock the car developed several faults topped off with a Power Steering Failure in the middle of London adjacent to Westfield.
Service centre could not look at the car until 2/1/25.RAC delivered car on 2/1/25 but the car was not looked at until 10/1/25 due to other recovery cars taking priority(Alarm Bells ringing!)
Diagnostics eventually run which showed no problems.
Power steering failure occurs again when technician runs the car.
Nothing further happens with the car until
31/1/25.No contact from the service Manager or technicians.
Email complaint illicits a response from the Service Manager.Master tech required to take out dashboard and inspect wire harness.
Initial rejection of car as not being fit for purpose within 30 days of delivery date made by email is not received by Sales Manager.
Delay tactics employed .Sales Manager permanently in meetings so can’t discuss.
Dacia UK Complaint file opened however the Sales Manager for London West Branch is not cooperating with Dacia UK despite requests for information.Legal Action threatened unless London West Renault Dealer(Brentford)gives me a firm decision on Total Refund.
Car delivered to me 10/12/24
Refund paid 14/2/25.Car status unknown.
Post sale service appalling and delay tactics employed.
Be very wary of purchasing from this dealer.
Lack of technical staff, managers need auditing and need to be held to account.
I would question Dacia as a competitive product given the alarming range of faults developing vision from new!
The good, bad and awful
The good, my Sandero is good to drive, fairly comfortable, ok on fuel. The bad - I use my car as a driving school car and have done 44k in 2 years. It's not been brilliant with regards to reliability and has need a few repairs under warranty. The awful - my car needed a clutch at 40k, not unusual as it is used as a driving school car. Parts £500 for the clutch ! - Then it gets worse, my mechanic rings me and says the dual mass flywheel has failed -£700 more ! - So the total bill for parts £1200. Yes they are inexpensive compared with Toyota, but at what cost ? and you can't just leave a review on their site etrusted, which seems to cherry pick reviews.
No customer care - awful service
We took our Dacia Logan to our local dealer for repair. For 9 days we were told their system to send the fault diagnosis report to the Dacia / Renault central support was broken - they could not confirm diagnosis or start to resolve it. In those 9 days they were unable to offer a courtesy car. We contacted Customer Care Team. Communication from the Renault Customer Care Team has been awful - I have tried to escalate my complaint and told I am not able to. They have failed to return calls that they have said they would. They have said they have sent me emails, none have been recieved. I have been told I can only speak with one named person who is never available when I phone. The experience has been awful. I would not recommend Renault / Dacia in the future.
Positive outcome.
Had issues with a Sandero which we bought from new last year. Went back to place of purchase, Renault Romford. They were extremely helpful, from Dawn, the Receptionist who was our first contact and was amazingly supportive to Terri, on service desk and particularly Ollie, our salesman who went through our options and helped us in our decision to trade in for a different car. Definitely turned what could have developed into a negative situation into a positive one.
New care arrived with worn and torn…
New care arrived with worn and torn seats! The car was brand new. They agreed to replace, this was 2.5 years ago and I’m still waiting. Cancelled service agreement with no warning. Dacia are not responding or contacting me like promised to address issue with seats when they agreed to replace under warranty! Awful experience! Ruined my first ownership of a new car.
Car delivered with part worn tyres
Car delivered with part worn tyres and speed limit warning gives wrong information or no information The tyres that the new car came with only have 5mm of tread I had to take the car in for remedial work on the speed limit warning system it was showing 80mph and then 5 mph on the same section of 30mph road. I was told this is normal the system is now showing nothing with an explanation sign. While the car was in the dealer they measured tread depth and then declared that the tyres were 40% worn odd I thought as the car had only travelled 800 miles still waiting for an explanation very poor service when you take in to account this is my 4th Dacia.
Brand new Duster 2024 had it a week and…
Brand new Duster 2024 had it a week and it cut out four times in one short journey. Almost caused a bad accident. They told me there is a fault on the software and it needs updating (brand new car !) First direct debit due soon and we have hardly drove it . Have a courtesy car instead. VERY DISSATISFIED
A Shout out for Bristol Street Motors, York
I have literally just returned home with my new Dacia Duster, purchased from Bristol Street Motors in York. My contact there is Jess, who is a lovely girl and brilliantly efficient, friendly and definitely goes above and beyond. I traded in a Renault Arkana for this Duster and all the staff at this branch are lovely. I saw Lewis mentioned in another post and he and Joanne are equally great to deal with. I have never had anything but excellent service from this dealership. Praise where praise is due.
Unprofessional …
Went to my local Dacia dealer pre arranged test drive
Dealer was surprised and wasnt expecting me
Asked me how old I was as I was over 71 and was told I would not be able to have a test drive due to their insurance policy
Was able to sit in a Dacia Duster Journey which I found the bonnet is very high and couldn't see the showroom floor
Spare wheel is put under the rear of the car body with a release lever to drop it down probably in a dirty condition
So it saved me the trouble of going out on the road to be driven by the Salesman
Dacia Derby
My Dacia Duster has been into Derby for service and MOT. The car passed and had the cam belt changed due to the mileage. The whole job went smoothly from start to finish. I love my Dacia Duster so it's important to me I get the best service from a garage. Thank you.
Swansea Dacia
Swansea Dacia
Want to change double the prices of other Renault garages for the same work. It's disgusting and threatened to invalid my warranty. Absolutely despicable.
Useless customer support!
Useless customer support!
I have a free service plan for 3 years.
Time to book service B but there is no option on there website to book a free service, they want money.
I booked the paid service and added a notice that I have a 3 year free service plan, so the service should be free.
I received an email asking me to call customer support to book a free service or book a paid service with them.
I tried calling customer support a few times, but hung up after 12-15 minutes of waiting on hold because I got tired of listening to stupid music and a message our customers are "important" to us.
Today I received a phone call from customer support, they informed me that my plan expired on 11th December and they can't book a free service for me because the first available slot they have is on 18th December.
There is no free slot for a free service which is just oil and filter changes, but I was offered a paid service for £230.
Very disappointed with Dacia customer…
Very disappointed with Dacia customer service. Was waiting for announcement to preorder my new Duster and when finally, after one year waiting received email about preorder, I was straight on the mission to do so. Loged in to my account noticed that took too long time, webpage itself was logging and didn’t wok properly. Finace page was not available at all. So, I got to preorder page and did my preorder and when I got to payment there was information that Dacia will send me £100 voucher as gift to spend on new accessories. I was very excited about such a thing though Dacia is getting better and better. Preorder done happy me, waiting for the email with my voucher. Week gone started to checking with Dacia team I haven’t received it. Question was passed to each other and then to customer service. Lady called and said there is no such an offer at all and they can only apologise and they can’t do nothing about it. During conversation lady asked do I have a proof or screenshot of this message? Instantly I felt like being called liar. Since when we have to screenshot everything, we do? Dacia can’t’ be trusted without screenshots now??? This question was asked also from other member of team so that was very upsetting being called liar twice. So not happy me gave up. Guess what do I see on there webpage few weeks after same message just with terms and conditions that when you will buy new car you will receive £100 voucher to spend at Dacia. Well, that’s so wired is in it? Contacted them back with how this is possible an I’ve been told this has terms and conditions there with dates apply. What I saw none knows and nothing can be done. Dacia dealer was confused about this situation that how I would be able to know something before its out on website? They think that voucher shout be given in this case. At least Reading dealership cares about their customers especially Akif was very helpful with everything and made my experience bit better. I will make sure this review goes in every possible platform so people know that they have to take screenshots when dealing with Dacia and hopefully some of COS will see it too. Very, very disappointed didn’t expect that for Dacia always had good experience ordering cars but this just discussing. For fixing issue get hold of Reading dealer and Akif ( he will know who unhappy lady is )
Dangerous - gross negligence
Dangerous - gross negligence
Brought a brand-new car in May 2021. Faulty from the start, still faulty. Never-ending saga. Running out of garages to take it to as previous ones chose to ignore and reset a serious safety fault on numerous occasions for two and a half years. Despicable and dangerous. Dacia Customer Care do not care. Customer Service agent refuses to escalate the case. Just tells me that is what warranty is for, well, that has expired and I am all out of options! The car is still faulty, they simply do not care. Bought a new car for peace of mind and safety and I have neither. Shockingly bad.
New Jogger is unreliable
New Jogger purchase Nov 22

Words fail me !!
Avoid Renault/Dacia .…
I bought a Dacia Sandero as a second car to be reliable car for holidays etc. I was told I could have it serviced or repaired at any Renault/Dacia garage. The car broke down within 300 miles of purchase & three months later has still not been repaired. I have been chasing promises & chasing again. I will never buy another Renault or Dacia & will recommend family & friends to stay well away.
