This is the second time I've been to this absolutely perfect restaurant and I was again given one of my top ever eating experiences! This gentleman and his team are artists and so lovely as well. The tastes were unmatched, the presentation uniquely good and even my pot of special tea was a creative blend of all sorts of several ingredients and flavours.

Damindra consistently offers an extraordinary culinary experience, marked by impeccable service and warm, inviting hospitality. Every dish is meticulously crafted and presented with an exquisite attention to detail, elevating the dining experience to an art form. My partner and I savored a deeply romantic evening, enveloped by the restaurant’s enchanting ambiance. A highlight not to be overlooked is Damindra’s tea—an unforgettable delight that lingers in the memory. We eagerly anticipate each return visit, as Damindra undeniably stands as the pinnacle of dining excellence.

We had booked an experience with Damindra through TrueStory, but when we arrived at the restaurant the server claimed it wasn't booked correctly, even though we had followed the instruction that TrueStory provided to the letter. He said it wasn't his problem that TrueStory's instruction we incorrect, and refused to take the money off of our voucher, and refund the Kr. 400,- deposit we had made at the time of booking, claiming it was impossible for the restaurant to make refunds. Instead, he wanted us to use our 600,- voucher on top of the 400,- deposit, which of course would have been a pretty sweet deal for him. He became very unpleasant when we refused.
Instead we were forced to spend 400,- that we had not intended to. The food tasted fine, but it was extremely overpriced, even by Copenhagen standards. The portion sizes are tiny. The 400,- lunch left us (2 people) hungry, and we ended up going somehwhere else to get a real lunch after. Damindra is clearly going for a fine-dining vibe (and have set the prices thereafter), but the atmosphere does not live up. The place is dingy and cheap looking. The server prepared the raw fish behind the counter, giving the experience a fish-store vibe. Overall, very disappointing experience.

Absolutely incredible experience. The food, drink, ambience, everything! We loved it!

Each course of Damindra's choice menu is a little bit of heaven! The whole experience is wondrous! Lovely intimate restaurant with a fabulous host.

The food was absolutely a delight. I really don't understand some of the reviews in below. The owner was so warm and given the struggle restaurants have gone through because of Covid I really don't think people realize what it is to make sacrifices. More than happy to recommend this place to anyone I know!

So my review was reported and then removed by trustpilot because they found it "suspicious"? No problem, I will write it again. The thing is that my husband has also written his own review on the same experience, so they might think we are spamming. But no, we are just 2 unhappy people that had to go through the same bad experience together.
I will forever bare the bad and unfriendly experience I had from Damindra on the day I got married (which they very well knew through our reservation). So I will definitely keep sharing my experience out there. And keep rewriting it, every time Damindra tries to report it as spam. (who else can it be?)

If you know your sushi and japanese food, then this fusion sushi and seafood food isn't for you. I have tried many maki fusion food, but this one is big and clustered. The rice have no taste. BUT besides the mediocre food - compared to the price you pay, the service was very disappointing. There was a new waiter trying his best, but the manager who also waited us is more arrogant than a french and a dane waiter combined, considering he is none of them. Also beware of any smart-box and other deals you get for this restaurant, the manager dismisses the rules and make his own, deciding what is a deal or not - despite the black on white description of the deal you buy. You leave with a feeling of being cheated.
Damindra might have been a fine dining once, but it isn't today. Take your money elsewhere!

Visit at Damindra is allways a good experience. Fantastic and creative food that tastes heavenly 👍. And allways start with their signature drink 😉

Best japanese food in town. This is not only a sushi restaurant but a Japanese/Sri Lanka cuisine. The atmosphere is amazing, really cozy and exclusive, furthermore the drinks (signature ginger cocktails) are amazing. I would recommend this place to everyone who enjoys and appreciates gourmet food. The prices are more than average but definitly worth every penny.

The food is high quality no matter if it's sushi or the grill menu. Delicious, delicate and beautiful served dishes with excellent taste. I can highly recommended Damindra at any time.
