Great experience in store, staff very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient

Extremely disappointing experience with DFS Aintree
Our experience with DFS Aintree has been absolutely frustrating and deeply disappointing.
We placed an order for dining furniture and a coffee table around three months ago and paid the full amount more than two months ago. We were originally promised delivery around mid-June, which we planned around when moving into our new home.
However, when we contacted the store, we were told there was an issue locating the order. The order then had to be reordered. We were subsequently given another expected date around mid-July, but once again nothing arrived. After repeatedly chasing, we were eventually told the items would not even be available until mid-September.
The level of inconvenience caused to our family has been unbelievable. We moved into a new house expecting to have basic dining furniture, but we were left without dining chairs for weeks. We have had to manage without proper seating despite having paid DFS in full.
What made this experience even worse was the very poor handling by the staff at DFS Aintree. The communication was inconsistent, updates were not reliable, and we felt that nobody was genuinely taking ownership of the problem. We had to keep chasing for answers rather than being proactively informed.
Eventually, because of the repeated delays and lack of confidence in the delivery promises, we had no choice but to cancel the order.
Even after cancellation, we were extremely disappointed to discover that £150 was deducted from our refund because the remaining order no longer qualified for the original promotional discount. This was despite the fact that we cancelled because of the prolonged delivery problems, not because we simply changed our minds.
This has been an exhausting and unacceptable experience from start to finish. The way the order was handled, the repeated missed expectations, the lack of responsibility and the additional refund deduction have completely destroyed our confidence in DFS.
We would not recommend DFS Aintree to anyone. Think very carefully before placing an order, especially if you need your furniture within a reasonable timeframe.
A very poor experience and one we will not be repeating.

Good service and explanation of product purchased

Lots of knowledge from Andy. He actually had this sofa himself and so had first hand experience himself with how good a sofa it is. This gave us confidence. No pressure to buy either. This we really appreciated. There is nothing worse than feeling presurised into a sale. We left feeling happy and confident in our purchase. Andy and his team were all friendly and helpful without pressure to buy.

Great service, Andy branch manager was thorough, explained everything, another member of staff came and double checked what we had asked for, everything good, cant wait for our new sofa!!

This was our 4th visit to the store in 2weeks we just couldn't make our mind up. We were looking at a suite but the sofa had 3 cushions and we only wanted 2. Sarah pointed out a different suite that we could have in the same material with the same colour we wanted it was perfect for us. Until she pointed it out to us we would of walked right past it.

We felt relaxed and well looked after.
Nothing was too much trouble.

Amazing service at aintree DFS. Was able to look around at my own pace without someone over my shoulder asking if they could help me. I approached Selina and asked her for some advice on a sofa I had in mind. She was so lovely and really helpful. I bought the sofa, and can not wait for it to arrive
