DHL Paketzentrum Aschheim Delays without an Explanation

DHL must solve their problems at DHL Paketzentrum Aschheim. They always have an excuse to delay your deliveries with very vague explanations. The next-day-delivery packages which I paid extra for got stuck here multiple times.

For one of my previous deliveries, DHL app updates suggest that my package was loaded into a wrong vehicle three times. I am just amazed if this is true as the package was 25-30kg which means someone loaded/unloaded this rather heavy item eight times until it was in the right truck.

Quick and safe delivery

I orderd a parcel from Italy to Germany - and DHL had a nice overview by their website, so I could follow the journey of the parcel.
Their were no issues - just quick and nice delivery.

DHL has lied about attempting delivery…

DHL has lied about attempting delivery to my home multiple times. I have been at home waiting for a package only to get a missed delivery message. On top of that, they say that they "missed you" and cannot even leave the pick up letter for you in the mailbox. Instead, they send it to you by post a week later, after the deadline to pick it up. They do this with all types of packages, small or heavy it does not matter. When I tried to file a complaint on their website, the form for them to contact you back does not work. The phone number field says "invalid." I tried both international and German phone number with the same result. Even if you successfully send your complaint, they will respond to you with no acknowledgement whatsoever. They give you lazy replies. In a country that relies so heavily on post, this delivery service is an absolute joke. They are horribly unreliable.

I want to share my bad experience with DHL.

DhL has the worst customer service center ever, no one speaks English even in the international department, all of them have a bad attitude when they answer and they just disconnect my call when the hear me speaking English..

The second issue DHL has the worst delivery, they never deliver my package they take my package to the packstation and send me a letter that was not home and this not true (I work from home and everyday home) they're just lazy and don't want to do their job.

I really don't recommend DHL to no one, it's the worst company

Misleading when parcel lost

I sent a parcel that got lost. It was a small parcel that didn't have tracking. It failed to reach the recipient. In such cases, they ask you to file a request for a search, where you spend time describing what was lost and providing all the details, only to send you a letter two days later stating that the parcel was never found. If you don't want to genuinely help, why bother sending people forms to fill it? It's even more frustrating than refusing to help at all.

And now they have a stupid bot that is just so useless

I just received an email from DHL that my package couldnt be delivered today, after a very long delay, and that it will send back to the sender . No precise reason was given. i was at home the whole day, I have already ordered several times from this shop and never had a problem before. It's impossible to speak with anyone, they just have a useless bot who doesn't understand anything. I would put less than 1 star but I can't.

Terrible service!

I ordered some items which were supposed to be delivered by DHL. The date was OK for me, I was at home and hoped they would deliver to my place. Instead, they delivered to a self pick-up station informing me about that post factum. I didn't even have an app for that! So, instead of working from home which I was planning to do, I had to be bothered to download the app, register and go to the pick-up point which is some 20 min walk from my place. There the number did not work properly immediately and I had to spend another 15 minutes trying to figure out what could be done. The next parcel was a failure again. The date was OK again so I did nothing. However, the parcel arrived a day earlier and I was not at home. The parcel was delivered to a pick-up place which requires a 40 min bus ride although the nearest one is 15 minutes on foot! Terrible service.

Zero logic in business process

I recently moved to Germany and ordered some DaF books to be delivered to a Packstation. It was expected to get to the Packstation today. However, my delivery status changed to "Leider ist eine Zustellung der Sendung nicht möglich, da die Postnummer in der Adressierung noch nicht aktiviert oder fehlt/fehlerhaft ist. Die Sendung wird an den Absender zurückgeschickt" instead — apparently, because Packstation wasn't activated in my DHL account.

1) Why not check if the requirements for using the Packstation are fulfilled _before_ starting with the delivery, and let me know if some steps are expected from my side?

2) Why not put my package in the Packstation and let me activate what needs to be activated while the package is being stored instead of sending it back to the seller without any notice?

It makes zero sense that I learn about this activation at the moment when my delivery is already on its way back to the sender, and there is nothing I can do about it.

Delivery compnay from HELL

Seller sent item I purchased from Germany to Portugal, promising delivery in 3 days. The item was shipped promptly but DHL kept it in Germany for 10 days. Finally, I get a message that item is in Coimbra and will be delivered "tomorrow". That was 10 days ago. My package is still not here. I filed a written complaint and called.......NOTHING. No response. Good ol' German efficiency at work.

Dear DHL Customer Service,

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received today regarding the delivery of my package.

Your delivery staff rang the bell at my address, we immediately answered, and even opened the building door. Instead of completing the delivery, the driver left a note stating “no one was home.” This is absolutely false. Both of us were at home, working from home, and ready to receive the package.

This behavior is completely unacceptable. It shows a lack of responsibility and respect for your customers’ time. Not only does this create unnecessary frustration, but it also forces us to waste time and effort retrieving a package that should have been delivered to our door. To make matters worse, the package has not even been redirected to the closest DHL point, which adds further inconvenience.

DHL Germany must take responsibility for such repeated failures in service. Customers rely on you to deliver items properly—not to cut corners and leave false “not at home” notes.

I request that:
1. You investigate this delivery attempt and provide me with an explanation.
2. The package is redelivered to my address without delay.
3. I am compensated for the wasted time and effort caused by this unacceptable situation.
4. Action is taken to ensure this kind of behavior does not happen again.

I expect a prompt reply and resolution.

After almost a year of back-and-forth, they informed me that they cannot do anything about the package that they lost; not even reimburse the value of the shipment.

They don’t speak english

They don’t speak English all of a sudden. Even though I’ve been in contact with them over the phone talking English, and their phone robot offers English. Worst company I’ve ever been in contact with….

Edit 5 minutes later: now after trying to call them again, they literally hang up the phone before I can get in contact with them.

The company is employing people who…Undelivered package.

The company is employing people who can’t read and understand, The world should not trust DHL anymore, They claim to be digital and they cant stop anything online , can’t give a clear answer about missed delivery apart from getting very rude customer service people. The delivery guys are worse because they don’t tell the truth.My package was sent from Uganda and when i tracked it and see it will be delivered on 13th , i stay indoors waiting for it the all day and it was not delivered ,nobody rang my doorbell or called me,only to track again and see i don’t exist in the Address written there and it is go to be sent back to the sender. I have been living there for 4 years, my name is on the mailbox and on the door but the delivery person couldn’t read it.. On the package my name ,Email and telephone numbers was Written there too,but no one could try to call me instead.When i noted its going back,I called immediately but i was told they cant call my package back it must be go back to the sender and still now they are holding it in Germany. Was it not logic to call me go and pick instead of returning it for no reason? I have all the proves. And i still don’t know where about my package. Very disappointed
