Demaged packages without solution

I've sent Packages from Germany to Spain the package arrived totally destroyed, I tried to get in touch with the DHL in Spain they say that I need to get in touch with the DHL in Germany, the DHL in Germany doesn't have a straight forward channel to get in touch with them about complaints of demaged packages, and on top of that, say that it should be handled by the local company (Zustellorganisation im Ausland)

I am very disappointed with the service…

I am very disappointed with the service from DHL. I paid for an express shipment and was told that the package would arrive the next morning or within two days at the latest. However, it was only delivered on the third day at 11 a.m.
What kind of express delivery takes three days? That is the timeframe for a normal shipment, not an express service. It seems that with DHL, “express” only means paying more money, not actually receiving the package faster.
Very disappointing and frankly quite embarrassing for a company that advertises itself as a reliable express delivery service.

Always BAD

Hi,

I am writing because, once again, my package was left at a store, instead of at my flat. I was home, and although someone rang the bell, when I answered, nobody was there anymore, followed by an email of attempted delivery. This happens almost every time I need to get something from DHL. (Worse things have happened regarding lockers, codes, bluetooth, and passwords needing to be sent by post before, but no time now for explaining it all.)

In conclusion, every time DHL needs to deliver something, it never arrives, so I fel like escalating this as much as I can. Is completely unbelievable.

What can we do for actually the complains to take any effect at all? DHL needs to change drastically for a long time.

Complaint: 43-Day Delivery Scandal – Berlin to Baku Takes a World Tour

I am writing to express my absolute outrage and disappointment regarding the delivery of an important official document which I sent from Berlin to Baku, Azerbaijan.

The facts are as follows:

· Date of Sending: January 14, 2026.
· Date of Arrival at Local Post Office in Baku: February 26, 2026.
· Total Transit Time: 43 (forty-three) days.

For a service that operates in the 21st century and charges for international shipping, a delivery time of 43 days between two major capitals is not just a delay; it is a logistical disgrace.

The tracking history reads like a bizarre tourist itinerary rather than a professional postal service:

1. It sat in Germany for weeks.
2. It was then sent on a detour to Tirana, Albania, where it languished.
3. It was then forwarded to a hub in Dubai, UAE.
4. Finally, after circling half the globe, it arrived in Baku.

It is 2026. We have had commercial flights connecting Berlin and Baku for decades. There is absolutely no excuse for a piece of mail to take a detour through two other countries, resulting in a 43-day delivery time. This indicates a severe breakdown in your logistics network and a complete disregard for customers who rely on you for time-sensitive documents.

The anxiety and stress caused by this "world tour" of a simple letter are unacceptable. I demand an explanation for this failure. Your systems are failing your customers.

DHL does not deliver

It's fascinating that you can have a business like this without allowing customers to contact them via email to find out where their packages are.

DHL EBERSBERG.

DHL EBERSBERG.

The courrier in Ebersberg is so unprofessional. He has done this twice. Using the call bell too long, calling three times. I was on a night shift and was sleeping and woke up because of that. Now i am in the bathroom and done this again. How can someone work like this? Simply rude and unprofessional.

Missing package

Missing package, lied about delivery to neighbor

They lied about a delivery to a nonexistent neighbor in my building. Important medication that was due to be delivered is now missing. No slip was left regarding attempted delivery either. Can´t get ahold of them cause I´m not the seller, seller says to contact DHL.

My parcel has been robbed

3 months ago I received an international parcel from DHL. It was stolen for 1000 PLN (250 EUR). The service itself documented that they provided a parcel weighing 6 kg, but received 2.2 kg, of which about 0.7 kg is the weight of the packaging itself. I called, wrote, received a message that they did not have these things, but they would look for a month and write back to me. They wrote back exactly a month later that they had not found anything. They told me to write to the German DHL website. I received the same thing. I have been waiting for 1.5 months and there is no answer. If the case is not resolved in the next 14 days, I will file a lawsuit. Parcel number: CJ075202179DE

I order often online

I order often online, unfortunately it is often delivered by DHL. Over the last couple of weeks almost every second delivery takes ages while other delivery companies keep their standards and deliver punctually within 1-2 days like Hermes or Amazon logistics. There seems to be no real reason and no apology for all the delays I experience. If I can choose I pick other delivery companies ever since. It is so sad!

Worst delivery ever!

Worst delivery ever!
I am expecting a package shipped to Denmark from a german webshop. It’s the second time I have bought from this webshop and both times they have used DHL. Both times have been terrible and I have now given up on buying anything from germany as long as they use DHL. I still don’t have my package and they don’t answer when I write to them! I was home when they tried to deliver, but I didn’t get to the door in time. The delivery person was so fast. These things happen and this is not the issue. The problem is that now I can’t get my package. They wrote to me that the delivery had left a note in my mailbox. That was a lie. When I try tracking the package using the tracking number it says that the package has been left at a pickup location but it doesn’t say where. There is a link for more information but the link takes me to an error page. I have tried writing to them, but they don’t answer me. Trying to find information on their webpage takes me to a german chatbot, but I don’t speak german. I assume they have my package somewhere, but they wont send it to me or provide med the with information on where to get it. Do I really have to drive around to all pickup locations in the area in hopes of finding my package? I have already used hours of my time on this mess.

Fake Delivery Attempt

I’ve been home all day waiting, but the tracking says "you were not home at the time of our attempted delivery". That’s a lie. Nobody rang the bell. This is very frustrating and unprofessional.

DHL delivery people denied the for paid service

I got a delivery for LG washer-dryer via DHL. The item was really heavy as expected. I had paid for usage location delivery and installation. Two delivery person from DHL delivered the item but denied the installation although they had all the tools with them.
Later on complaining to LG, DHL replied that the customer did not want the installation.
Terrible experience. No accountability from DHL.

Honestly, don't use DHL

Honestly, worst customer service ever. I wrote them 2 emails a day, 6 days in a row. Got an answer to 2, the ones that I translated to German, while gmails literally have an auto-translation.. I don't think it's much of a trouble to answer when I write in English. I'm writing this on day 6 of waiting for a reasonable answer from them, since the answers I got on my emails don't give me any information at all.

Total chaos and zero accountability

I sent a parcel on January 13th to Bulgaria. I was later informed it was “returned” because the recipient was supposedly not reachable — even though no one called, no one sent an SMS, and no one visited the address. This is the second time DHL has done something this absurd.

My parcel has been missing for 20 days. The tracking system doesn’t work, the last update is from 10 days ago. The branch where I sent it has no information at all. I received a no‑reply email saying the parcel was being returned to me — a week later, it still hasn’t arrived and nobody knows where it is.

The contact form is buried behind endless FAQ pages, and real customer support is nonexistent. For a company of this size, this is unacceptable.

If I could, I would give 0 stars.

Terrible International Delivery Experience – No Notice, No Package

I’m deeply disappointed with DHL’s service. A package I was expecting from Germany never arrived, and I wasn’t even notified that a delivery had been attempted. There was no note, no call, no email—nothing.
When I finally investigated, I learned their local delivery partner had decided to return the item, claiming “missing delivery information.” This is simply untrue—the shipping label included my full, correct address, clearly printed and complete.
DHL showed zero initiative in resolving this. No follow-up, no accountability, and no effort to ensure the package reached me despite having all necessary details. It’s unacceptable for a global courier to operate with such negligence and poor communication.
If you’re counting on your shipment actually arriving—or at least getting a heads-up if there’s an issue—think twice before choosing DHL.
