Diamond timeshare

Unfortunately most of the diamond members cannot use the system properly . Been a member since Gvc back in 2000 . Have been all over uk last couple of years Tenerife Gran Canaria Orlando and more using interval. And only have 7000 points do some research and you will still be cheaper than package holidays and better resorts

No Availability

Nice properties, but membership is pretty much pointless as there's hardly any availability.

Rooms are sold to the public online. Members get offered the unbooked leftovers.

Terrible way to treat longstanding members.

Keep away from Hilton/Diamond

Absolutely nothing available for members to book after paying their fees which go up by 10% each year. Most availability is kept for Hilton to rent especially summer season which makes it impossible for members to book anything. No wonder members are wanting to leave.

Diamond is run by crocks.

We loved our timeshare until Diamond bought the resort we owned at. Then the BS started. This company can do the right thing and close there doors. They are a bunch of crooks. They will lie to you and tell you "you need to buy another 10000 points so you can use your 20000 points." When you call and try to use your points....."there is nothing available."
If you are thinking about buying in, run don't walk out the door. There are better companies. They over extended themselves and started fleecing their owners.

Diamond Resorts is a SCAM! Hilton should help not hinder.

Diamond Resorts was acquired by Hilton Grand Vacations about 3 years ago, so our 30 years of bad service and misrepresentation is now their problem! When Monarch was bought out by Diamond Resorts, I was informed that my property, which I believed I owned and had equity in, had significantly lost its value. I was then pressured into reinvesting in the property, as I was afraid that all the money, I had previously invested would become worthless. In 2018, I finally received confirmation that I had successfully paid off the mortgage. However, simultaneously, I was informed by a representative of Diamond that unless I reinvested once again, the property would be devalued. It seemed that every time I had questions, I was encouraged to attend another meeting, only to end up spending more money that I do not have. Do you understand what this all translates too? Misrepresentations, manipulation, and devaluation of the product in order to force discussions that result in high pressure situations, resulting in contracts at high interest rates to generate additional revenue to manage what are now dilapidated properties comparatively. When your maintenance fees surpass what your original principal was...you know you’ve been scammed! Upgrade your timeshare is not like trading in a car...you will never see the return on the “newer” version.

I was a satisfied HGV Max owner that went to a Diamond (which is owned by HGV) in Nov 2023, and got the sales pitch, bought into Diamond also and was told I could not get on their web site until after Jan 1, Could not get into it until Jan 15 and when I did it would not allow me to do anything. Called their 800 number and got HGV so they transferred me to Diamond claiming they can't do stuff on Diamond side. Phone conversation with the person on Diamond side was bad as he was rude and unwilling to help me. They have nice resorts but web site and service on phone is bad. Asked for supervisor to call back so will see what happens next.

They are a NIGHTMARE

They are a NIGHTMARE! My father died 18 months ago and they keep sending invoices - even after they acknowledged his death certificate and said no further steps were needed. Stay away from Diamond at all costs. They are terrible. Also, everything was always booked and no inventory. AWFUL Company!

Upgraded and purchased the Hawaiian…

Upgraded and purchased the Hawaiian Collection. Our bonus for purchase was a dream vacation, which they book for you. I had to speak with someone to book the accommodations and another person for the airline. All went well until I looked at my club points balance and they took my dream vacation points from my club points. I have spent two weeks, 8 hours on the phone with 8 different people and nothing has been done. They say they are fixing it and haven't, I lost my 8,500 club points allocation from 2023 because they messed up. I know they want me to roll over and give up but I'm not, have no idea who to call or how to escalate this. We have had HGV for ten years and have never had a problem until this and when we went to Las Vegas and they shamed us because we wouldn't spend another $78K to upgrade to the next level which would enable us to book earlier. The sales people have really changed and they really don't care about their owners, they only care about Hilton and their sales numbers.

WORST DECISION EVER!!

WORST DECISION EVER!!! DONT GO WITH DYMOND RESORTS/HGV
Wouldn’t even recommend this to my worst enemy, the whole thing was a setup from the beginning. Was told to lie about income and marriage status just to see the presentation…which was all a joke . The one who sold the dream idea to me at the Cancun resorts said the points are equivalent to dollars. So if I wanted to book a room that’s worth $200 it would be 200 points give or take a few .Was told the club fee was $932 Then it changed to $1850 with no real explanation. THEN for 10k over a term of 10years I would get 55k points . To book a room it’s a minimum on 30k points soooo to spend almost $11,100 to vacation somewhere one time out of 10years is ridiculous. And lve been having the hardest time reselling/finding a creditable attorney. It’s better to save your money and plan the trips out yourself vs a time share. The customer service they have is the worst I’ve ever experienced, the amount of times I’m hung up on and told different information depending on who I’m talking to is ridiculous. Also after signing up they said I didn’t have to go to the new member orientation then two weeks later a lady called and extremely tried to pressure me into going and spoke super fast like they all do. If I can save everyone from signing up I would. I can go on forever but the biggest corporation scam I’ve ever experienced. I couldn’t have a job being so misleading my whole life like them.

Unable to arrange times to Vacation ongoing

Dear friends,
Having just received a bill in the mail for my 2024 assessment fee I find it incredibly hypocritical to receive this correspondence when for the last three or four times that I've tried to call someone on the phone during regular business hours I have been put on hold or disregarded.

I recently had to finally buy the opportunity to save points until next year in order to use them. I'm not sure what's going on but your newsletter points to an exciting year but to me that's not very exciting when you don't answer the phone. Paying $300 extra dollars in order to extend my points to next year because I was not able to talk to someone this year to figure out how to use them is not something to celebrate.

Is there any way that you could help me with the use of these points or to discontinue my affiliation with your organization and have no other obligations to buy the points? This has been a very discouraging process.

Thanks?,

Philip

Don’t get a share you’ll regret it

We told the repersentive we didn’t want to go to the same place we did last year and she booked us the same island but a different area not what we wanted and it was supposed to be for our honeymoon and they won’t let us switch it even tho it’s 7 months in advance just because the 24 hour cancellation policy which they make it difficult to find the email in the first place I would recommend to anyone not to get diamond resort shares it really isn’t worth it.

I paid for 3 night package

I paid for 3 night package. Have had a medical emergency come up and needed to reschedule time for my stay. Tried contacting for 2 days. Finally on 2nd day after waiting for 45 minutes I talked to Shauna.
Was short and pointed with me that I would have to forfeit my payment and could not reschedule. Once answered call lasted 30 seconds.
Horrible customer service. Blessing in disguise that I will not but a timeshare with Hilton Grand Vacations. Diamond Resort. They don't understand who the customer is. Stay away!

Exit from Contract

We have recently been in touch with Diamond because after 23 years using our timeshare option we are no longer fit enough to do so.
As we have no one to transfer it to we asked to surrender the agreement.
They have been very easy to deal with and I have been impressed with how quickly we have had the paperwork.

Untrustworthy Business Practice

The “free stay” offered by Diamond Resorts was not worth the gruesome four-hour meeting we were forced to sit through. Everything we were told was a lie designed to waste our time and trick us into buying a timeshare. Every benefit and price point they told us about was bogus. They promised us the world and said we could use this timeshare for cruises, plane tickets, and even earn additional points. Let me tell you, every time we tried to book a vacation, they never had the dates we wanted available… or any dates at all! It was like playing a game of vacation roulette. The salespeople also said this timeshare would increase in value and be super easy to resell. Turns out that was just a complete lie. We were completely scammed by Diamond and are expected to pay more than $20,000! All for us to never receive the free stay we were promised. Upsetting. We are retired and veterans and this is the last way we thought we would be treated by any company, let alone one with such a well-known brand.

Do NOT engage with Diamond Resorts!

We have requested a release of our contract with Diamond Resorts due to their misleading sales tactics and disappointing experiences with their properties and personnel. We received a call from a Diamond representative who basically said there was no way out of the contract unless we paid our contract/loan in full. I was crystal clear, we wanted nothing to do with Diamond and promised I would research ways out. To my dismay, every review site is littered with negative reviews of Diamond resorts and many of the reviews read just like our story.

Our initial contact with Diamond was through a baseball game giveaway, but we were pressured into attending a sales presentation at a resort in Daytona Beach. The sales agents made promises that were not delivered, rushed us through the closing, and failed to provide important contract information. We paid an upfront deposit and were signed up for a credit card we didn't need. Absolutely nothing was above-board like we would have expected from a multi-billion-dollar company. Be cautious, watch out for the ridiculous things the salespeople say. If it doesn’t feel right, trust your gut!
