I can not comment on a purchase experience from this company,I have had service and repair work carried out. I personally found there service excellent . Andrew who carried out a service and repair to my Thorens turntable was second to none. His knowledge of turntables in general was exceptional. His quiet soft spoken informative approach was very welcome. Unfortunately they lacked the correct equipment to repair my Mark Levenson and forwarded them on to a third party at no charge. My experience has been definitely a positive one . Thank you.

Will never use doug brady again, ordered a rega io amp online,never stated it was out of stock,next day had an email from dpd saying my order was going to be handled by them ,5 mins later another email saying my order had been cancelled. Rang doug brady to find out what was going on ,they said unfortunately they were out of stock but would be receiving more from rega in a few days. Rang back after a few days spoke to Rich he assured me he had spoke to rega personally and that they would receive the amp at the end of April and he promised me he would ring me next day, that being the 1st of May, to let me know if they been delivered. He didn't ring me had to ring them ,but this time I was put through to the warehouse and was told it would be another week before they would have the amp.
Don't like being lied to.

I recently auditioned Spendor D7.2 loudspeakers and after deciding they were what I wanted explained to Sam and Miguel that the D range centre speaker was too large and needed the smaller AC2 for my home cinema. But that didn’t come in Cherry to match the 7.2s.
Leave it with us Miguel said. A couple of days later they rang me and said not only would Spendor make a one-off in Cherry there would be no additional charge. I’d just need to wait a few weeks. I collected it yesterday. Very pleased with Doug Brady staff who are friendly and go the extra mile for their customers. Would happily buy from them again. I’ve also written to Spendor thanking them for their great customer service.

I have used Doug Brady for several items and have been satisfied. However, in January 2025 I purchased a Rega Elicit mk5 amp, after a while I decided to move away from Rega. I email Doug Brady and informed them of my decision. They emailed back and offered me £1100, I paid £2000 20 plus days earlier.
The reason they gave was it was not purchased online.
That means a loss of £900.
I have spoken to over shops and they give a 30day return(providing the item is not damaged and in it's original packaging.
I am considering spending £1500 on headphones and £1500/£2000 on a streamer - BUT NOT WITH Doug Brady.

Ordered a cable from them as the site guaranteed next day delivery. I then received a call telling me next day delivery wasn't possible. Then a change of mind and told me it was possible. Then received the cable, with a box that had already been opened. It is a £370 cable, I would expect it to be new. Finally to realise it is not the cable I ordered! They even called me to check it was the cable I needed and I described it down the phone and they confirmed.

I bought an expensive item, to me anyway. Dougbradyhifi.com ,called me twice ,once to check the postal address and again to tell me the item had been sent .The item arrived when it should and was very well packed ,I highly recommend Dougbradyhifi.com.

Lots of hype on Amazon etc about Black Friday with 'fantastic' reductions. I wanted (not needed!) an Astell & Kern SR 35 due to all the fabulous reviews - now reduced from £799 to only £599 at above online retailer. Delighted to find that Doug Brady could beat that easily by including the matching A&K case (which retails at £69) for the same price, their ordering was easy, prompt confirmation sent, tracking information through DPD supplied (no delivery costs) and very prompt delivery. Fabulous value, excellent customer care and brilliant product. Many thanks!
Great service and lightning fast delivery. Ordered online but got a confirmation phone call checking I didn’t need interconnects etc.
Be very careful with this company when ordering stuff this state next day delivery and free returns, then they call you for a chat to discuss what you’ve bought to And that was after two days of me ordering the speakers. Then they called you to chat about your item and then once you’ve had this chat they tell you they would send your speakers ie items the following day
after explaining to them if I didn’t like the speakers I would return them within my 30 day cooling off period which is low and was informed that would be okay. But have to try the speakers out and finding I didn’t like them. I asked for the full refund and for them to collect the speakers, they said okay but I would have to pay £25 for them to collect them which I found unacceptable so this is why I’m informing people about this in case this ever happens to them after a long discussion with this company. We have finally come to an agreement after I frightened to take this up with PayPal. Who I paid for these items through.then after I said this’s finally they agreed to collect the speakers from me free of charge which was good of them but I wish I had had not had to do this because originally I was told they would be no problem in me sending them back if I wasn’t happy so it just goes to show if want something stand up for yourself you have rights.

Decided to live a little and treated myself to a Rega Planar 2 Turntable. Ordered on the Sunday. Arrived Tuesday morning via DPD. Exceptional and smooth service from both Doug Brady HiFi and DPD. I won't review the deck here. But I will definitely use Doug Brady again when I next decide to have a hassle free upgrade of my audio systems.

I have bought various HiFi components from Doug Brady's over the years and always had first class service and attention. It was great to see Jon and Miguel today who were happy to help me out with my cable extension requirement. Great to see excellent all round customer service, irrespective of your budget or Hifi needs.
Several years ago, I purchased a complete audio system from Doug Brady. I dealt with Jon and I paid over £30,000. During the initial purchase, Jon was extremely helpful in system selection and a part of the purchase was for him to do the installation at my home in Penrith
Jon delivered the hardware and with his colleague, Dan, they carried out the set up. Regrettably, due to broadband initial issues, going live was delayed until that afternoon. I gave both Jon and Dan a considerable tip for their efforts that day.
The amount of time to take me through the operation was limited, but Jon committed to be available for all future system support.
Since that time, Jon has been invisible by his absence to support me. After installation and first visiting the store, Jon was “not available that afternoon due to his other clients” but, he said, make an appointment for a future visit. I did this and when arriving as planned, again he was unavailable (other clients about to buy???).
Since the system delivery and installation, I have not had one follow call from Jon.
I have had ongoing issues with the system not working and despite visits and several calls to the store, I continue to experience problems, (the system is currently down and has been for many months). I called and spoke with Jon last December and he promised to get Dan to contact me. I told Jon I was prepared to pay Doug Brady to fix the system. That was six month ago and not one call. Serious health issues and surgeries in the meantime, have been a major factor in my not calling him since.
Little did I know at the onset that Doug Brady was buying the Linn Klimax DSM (the heart of the system) from another retailer who turned out to be a friend of the manager. In essence, they knew very little about Linn products but offered assurance that would be no problem.
In summary, I say to prospective buyers from Doug Brady - Buyer beware with this company. they are Long on promises - Short on delivery and after sale support.
I ordered online from the website, after checking prices and reviews. Not long after, I got a confirmation call from the shop including an informal chat making sure that what I had ordered was appropriate for the room etc, which was nice, and checking if I needed any advice. The order was delivered the following day by DPD safe and sound. I bought a Rega Planar 2 package, with the Mission 778X and Dali Oberon 5 speakers. They were packed very solidly by the manufacturer and they were a breeze to set up. The resulting sound from both vinyl and digital stream is excellent: warm, clear, and responsive across the spectrum. The package is pitched exactly for what I want. I recommend the seller and the equipment.
This is the kind of place that sort of restores your faith in humanity. Genuinely excited and knowledgeable about the products, a lovely friendly atmosphere. Experts in the true meaning of the word. I’ve had an old turntable repaired and bought some great new speakers in the last year. My only complaint is my hi-fi sounds so good I keep buying new records for it.
