Ordered turntable on a Saturday, got free next day delivery and received it on Sunday morning. Really nice touch of getting personal phone call from the store to say package being dispatched. Installs trust and instantly made me happy with the choice I had made. Top service.

This company doesn’t understand their obligations under the Distance Selling Regulations. They were very reluctant to refund me for a pair of headphones because I had already returned one pair.

Made my second order from Doug Brady and both times it was a pleasure. Placed on their web site late at night, received a phone call the next day to check my order and offer to provide me help if I needed it.
Delivered the following day by DPD completing a very efficient transaction.

Great service and advice, contacted them a while ago about a Naim Uniti Atom streamer paired with some Kef LS50 Meta's and finally picked up today. Got a great deal regarding the price, more than happy with the service and products.

Cheapest I could find for the HiFi package I wanted and they had exactly what I wanted in stock. Placed my order online and spoke to Steve the next day to confirm delivery (which he even arranged for Saturday as we were desperate for new kit!). Steve was very friendly and said to call back if we needed help with setup. Package arrived by DPD next day, all set up and listening straight away. Brilliant service, thank you.

There is a reason why we all need to support these independents. First hand knowledge, experience and providing a look, listen and feel experience. Today I bought a Rega Planar 3, a turntable I’ve been in awe of since I was a schoolboy. Finally…….. Great chat with Steve online at stupid o’clock this morning and a very informative telecon with Roger later. Never been so happy to part with cash!

I had been eyeing the B&W 607 S2 speakers up for months, but wanted to support small stores rather than go to big name suppliers. My local one in swindon does not sell in the colour I want, so I looked online for independent stores with great reviews. I definitely made the right choice. I ordered at 1pm on the Tuesday and they were delivered by 10am on the Wednesday. I also appreciated the curtesy call. I would definitely use again.

Guys at Doug Brady's were very helpful. They took time to make sure the turntable I ordered is right for me and organised a speedy delivery.

Visited Doug Brady to audition a pair of B and W 705 signature stand mounts . The whole experience was relaxing and informative and the staff were very patient in regards to swapping around the different sets of speakers and allowing me to change different tracks of music. Excellent audition .
Compared KEF R3 , the B and W' s signature and a pair of Pro arc . Found the signature 's to be by far the best(although my wife preferred the KEF ) .The Pro Arc were the best for vocals ,with a far more natural sound but a little laid back for my taste in everything else.
Chose the signature 's and after a few hours running in they sound superb in my room ,a medium sized converted garage. A word of warning ,the room has a lot acoustic treatment , and without it I think the treble would be a little bright and forward.
Wasn't sure of the cabinet finish ,I wanted black ,but once I got them home I think they look wonderful.
Very happy with my purchase.

I recently went to Doug Brady to replace my old hi-fi system with a more modern one, and I cannot speak too highly of the experience. Throughout a period of five auditioning appointments, the staff (I dealt mainly with Jon and Dan) were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, patient and, above all, helpful. Their primary concern was with my satisfaction as a customer, and at no time did I feel under any sales pressure. When they installed the resulting system, they were sedulously careful with my hi-fi cabinet and with my property generally, and were genuinely concerned that I was happy with the outcome. That is an understatement- I am delighted with the new system, which sounds sublime with both digital and analogue sources, and with my customer experience overall. I would heartily recommend Doug Brady Hi-Fi to any potential purchaser of audio equipment- they won't be disappointed!

I’m not one to write reviews, but this is a special occasion when I had to post a review on the wonderful staff at, Doug Brady Hi-Fi.

From when my Wife and I walked in to the shop we were looked after by knowledgeable staff who know their stuff when it comes to selling fantastic products, and I’m now the lucky owner of a Rega P8 Turntable! John, Miguel were present throughout the demonstration of the P8, I played some of my own Vinyl and was amazed at the sound coming from the speakers, wow it really was special.

After an hour or so I made the decision to purchase the Rega and couldn’t wait to get it home to play some of my LP’s.

Anyhow, I could go on and on on how great the guys were with me and my Wife, but I just want to say a massive sincere thanks to everyone at Doug Brady. I’ll certainly be going back in good time 😎

It's extremely rare these days to find shops with the level of service and knowledge to be found at Doug Brady. I've had a Rega Planer 3 since 1984 and thought it was about time to have it checked over, the drive belt appeared to be slipping - (turned out the glue on the pulley spindle had failed). I'd had a discussion with Andy a few days before when I was passing and dropped the turntable off today at 10:00.

Andy and others were extremely helpful and clearly new their stuff. You always know when you're in good hands and this was one such occasion. We discussed a general service, replacement cartridges / styli and replacing the original capacitor with two new ones and by 15:00 I had call to say it was ready.

Needless to say the new Rega Exact cartridge makes a world of difference to the old K9 I had.

I have no hesitation in recommending Doug Brady, long may they continue.

I bought a Rega Planar 3 turntable from the original store on Smithdown Road in Liverpool way back in 1982 .... 39 years ago!!! It recently developed a few faults so I thought I'd upgrade to the latest version of that turntable. I knew I just had to go back to Brady's, even though that now means going to Warrington (from Rhyl in North Wales) where they are now based. I 'phoned to book a slot to audition it and on explaining my 'story' they asked me to bring the original deck with me. I had a great welcome and exchanged stories from my original purchase with John who was the last person to work at the Smithdown Road store. I was treated like family. My old deck was taken upstairs to be assessed whilst I listened to my potential new one. The new one blew me away and I purchased it without hesitation. My old one then reappeared ...... repaired and with a new belt and cartridge. And I then listened to that again and it was perfect .... again .... at 39 years old!!! A long story so apologies for that. But the point is that Brady's is a proper shop; they treat you well, genuinely listen to what you want and then offer advice without patronising you. Brilliant service and it was like having travelled in a time machine back to when I purchased the original deck. So I now have two perfectly working Rega Planar 3 record decks, albeit separated by 39 years. Heartfelt thanks and it goes without saying that I'd recommend Doug Brady HiFi to anybody looking for great products, expert knowledge, exemplary customer service and not a hint of sales pressure.

Spent an enjoyable couple of hours at the shop, looked after by Miguel. I auditioned a new set up; demo'd 3 amps, 3 pairs of speakers and a streamer. Nothing was too much trouble, Miguel had similar musical tastes and understood what I was looking to get from my new system. After a couple of pleasant hours, I left with my new gear.

This was my first time using Doug Brady; would definitely visit again when I need something else.

Ordered a turntable with a free cartridge. They very kindly phoned and offered to attach the cartridge to the player and dispatched the order the same day.
Very impressive service.

Top service from the guys at Doug Brady, I arranged a demo of the Meze Empyrean headphones and Auralic Altair streaming DAC. Miguel looked after me for about 3 hours and setup the DAC and the Empyreans along with some Sennheiser HD820 and Focal Stella headphones as a comparison. Even after I had paid for the Headphones and DAC everyone in the shop took time to talk to me and discuss other options around home cinema and speaker options. Overall I had a very enjoyable morning in the shop.

I don’t normally write or leave reviews, but on this occasion I will, as I was extremely impressed and what a great bunch of honest & helpful guys!

I’d been having growing problems with an old AR turntable and recently took it to Andy at Doug Brady Hi Fi along with the amp.

A clean and service for the amp and the problem diagnosed and repaired on the turntable, along with a couple of tweaks. Now, both the turntable and amp sound brilliant! No more problems and I can really enjoy my music again!

It was refreshing to find a great bunch of honest guys, and the price of the service and repair was excellent value for money, in fact it was probably the best money I’ve spent in a long time!
