Drax have always been excellent for me

Drax have always been excellent for me. I have been their customer for many years and have never had a problem of any kind. Their pricing is also very competitive.
The new online portal out today looks great. Had a click around it just now and it looks really useful, all account information available there in one place.

Appalling, overpriced and unscrupulous

Grossly overpriced, impossible to communicate with, and absolutely no customer service.
How Ofgem has not penalised them before now is a mystery, as in my opinion they are unscrupulous, dishonest and devoid of professionalism or integrity.
Don't bother to phone or e-mail them, you'll have more success using a Ouija board.

Panorama The Green Energy Scandal

Shame on you and your organisation - Panorama, The Green Energy Scandal, Mon 3 Oct BBC1.
Your destruction of valuable forests while masquerading as a company that cares about the environment is disgusting. You have been receiving Green Energy Funds from the UK, and as a British Tax payer I find your actions totally immoral.
P.S I am not a green activist or keyboard warrior, just a normal 50 something Director of a small company. Normal people do actually care !!!

Disgraceful

Disgraceful, greedy, overpaid corrupt CEOs, I have had a dispute with DRAX for 8 months, they put my company on a rolling contract, which after the pandemic has nearly destroyed my business. AND now thank goodness PANORAMA BBC, have found how corrupt they are.....

Absolutely Dreadful Customer Service

Oh dear I thought it was just me suffering at the hands of this company with an incompetent customer care department but looking at the reviews, I am not alone. I rang last week and was promised a reply but no answer. I rang the following day and the call back period was 5 working days. No answer. I emailed them and the response time is 5 working days. No answer. I call again today and like all the previous operators they can't answer direct/specific questions. She promised a call back in 48 working hours, not 48 actual hours, which is 5 working days so back where I started. I asked to be put through to the Customer Complaints department, but she couldn't do that. I tried to get through to the Account Manager on a direct line, but it wasn't a direct line. I am not sure why I am writing this since nobody at Drax seems to care about poor customer service. Just keep taking our money. You are happy but your customer isn't.

Rip-off merchants

Agree with the other authors (also on Haven Power the previous name). Drax are rip-off merchants. We inherited a contract on a new property but didnt realise they ramped up the standing charge to force us off, as we are small users. After 3 months we now have a bill for over £600 for a communal staircase where the lights are off most of the time. Im suprised it isnt illegal to put the standing charge up to 4 or 5 times competitors to force us off.

APPALLING TREATMENT BY DRAX

THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS. THEY ARE EXTORTIONISTS AND LIARS. WE HAVE BEEN COERCED BY THEM INTO PAYING AN INVOICE FOR DEEMED TARIFF FOR A PERIOD DURING WHICH THEY REFUSED TO PROVIDE CONTRACT RATES.
WE HAVE THE OPTION TO REPORT THE CASE TO THE OMBUDSMAN BUT OF COURSE WE WILL NOT DO THIS AS WE HAVE ALREADY WASTED SO MUCH ADMINISTRATIVE TIME DEALING WITH DRAX.
WE ARE A PROPERTY MANAGEMENT COMPANY AND DEAL WITH UTILITY PROVIDERS ON A DAILY BASIS AND WE KNEW THAT THIS IS ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES TO DEAL WITH - THEY WERE INHERITED AS SUPPLIER WHEN A PROPERTY WAS PURCHASED.
THIS EXPERIENCE HAS ONLY CONFIRMED OUR PREVIOUS OPINION AND THE SOONER THEIR DUPLICITOUS AND UNFAIR TREATMENT OF CLIENTS IS WIDELY KNOWN THE BETTER.

useless company with useless direction.

Do not do business with this company unless you enjoy incompetent billing and you want your card hit twice for the same bill when they do get a bill out to the correct address. I notice that all the directors 'hide' their home addresses by registering at a power station, making complaints difficult. So ill be seeing them at the next shareholders meeting. One share buys me the voice i need :)

Trying to speak with someone is…

Trying to speak with someone is impossible - someone answers the phone and promises a call back within 48 hours................ 2 weeks later still no call. We pay you thousands of pounds each month and just want to have a renewal figure. Disgracefu!!

We are a landlord and in Aug 2021 our…

We are a landlord and in Aug 2021 our tenant left who were the actual customer of Drax not us. We filled in a Change of tenant form in Aug 2021. In Jan 2022 a baliff turn ups with a notice of attendance to tell us they will be applying for a Court order to disconnect the supply. I rang Drax on the same day and spoke with them and found out that all of the invoices/bills were being sent to an address in London in Regent Street which has nothing to do with us , we cant pay what we dont receive. I gave them the correct billing address and also confirmed the current read of that day as well as the original start read when the tenant left. 2 and a half months later they are still threating court action on the same day they send 8 months worth of invoices for the first time correctly invoiced, it has taken them nearly 3 months to change an address on an invoice ? really inefficient i can do that in about 10 seconds on my accounts!! Meanwhile because they are so inefficient in changing an address on an invoice so it can actually get to the right place to be paid they have upped the kw cost from 23pkw in August 21 and a £9 pcm standing charge to 52pkw in Nov21 and from Jan 22 they are charging us 91.4 pkw and a standing charge of £124pcm, its no wonder they want to be inefficient they are profiteering from their own delay tactics, how can they be allowed to do this !!! We also have another company doing exactly the same , delay tactics month after month by being inefficient, whilst being able to charge us out of contract rates that we cannot get out of till they get their act together. If I was that inefficient I would be out of business by now, how come power companies seem to be getting away with it and nobody's is doing anything with it.
Yet again this is going off to the Ombudsman but we have to wait until the 8 weeks are up before they will tackle it ?
