Hypnogram rocks!
If the app did nothing more than give me statistics on percentage sleep in deep, rem, and light then I’d give it 4 stars. And it does that. And that is utterly amazing for a consumer device!
All the rest is interesting especially if you suffer from insomnia. Personally, I find environmental factors to be the biggest factor in my sleep: Humidity. Temp. CO2. Light. Sound. Dust. So even if it’s not helping me specifically it’s still absolutely fascinating to see how many dream cycles I have. And once I’ve perfected my undiscovered tomb I’m sure it’ll become more useful for squeezing out the last impediments to a blessed 8hr of perfect sleep.
I find the cards a bit too directed for my taste. But I’m sure some love it. And it’s interesting to play along...
And yes. The headband is comfy even on my side!

The Dreem Headband is so comfortable
I just received my Dreem headband and was extra excited by how comfortable it was. I was nervous about that. The customer service team was very helpful in helping me connect my device with my phone. I can’t wait to go through my 7 days of assessment. I’m hopeful this is exactly what I need to sleep better.

At least now everyone reviewing your…
At least now everyone reviewing your product can see that your second post completely contradicted your first post.
This device is comparable to an expensive noise maker but more complicated and less comfortable to use. Do not waste your money.
Business ethics lacking. The company is seeking desperate people who cannot sleep, then they encourage them to keep trying to use this device and refuse the return. They say they have an office in the US but even if they do it does not matter because they will not let you call them to speak with a real person.
My Dreem 1 headband is slightly used (just the trial period) and available on EBay starting at $100 or best offer should anyone want to try it.
Excellent product
A pretty neat piece of technology with a lot of potential
I have been using the Dreem headband for a little more than 2 weeks and there are some good and bad sides to it. But first of all, does it work? I don’t know yet because the program takes at least 6 weeks to complete and this is my second day in the core section of the program (the first 2 weeks are a get-to-know-each-other kind of thing).
*The GOOD*
- the band IS comfortable. I could feel it on my head (without being invasive) for the first 4 5 nights, but after that you will almost forget you are wearing it. It does not move during the night, it’s not too tight as to leave marks on your forehead and all in all it’s a nice experience.
- the technology behind it is pretty cool. I find it fascinating that in such a small device there is so much (useful) technology
- the audio section is ok; I mean it’s not an extra bass, full surround, 3D immersive-whatever-sound, but it does the trick, although by default the volume is pretty low
- readings of the nights are in large part accurate, even though there are some occasional (large) misreading. For example, the other night I was in bed reading for 1 hour and it recorded I was in REM mode, so it recorded an inaccurate sleep time. My “gut estimate” is that readings are 80 85 % correct, with occasional slips
- the fact that wi-fi and bluetooth are off during the night was (and is) a must for me
*the BAD*
- Customer service is kind of a mixed bag: I contacted them 3 times and twice they replied in under 24 hours but once it took 5 days to respond and answers were not that helpful, also because in that time I already had figure things out myself (which actually is the contrary of customer service)
- The app needs some (a lot) of work. It crashes frequently on Android and, when in the headband section of the app, where you set alarms and audio features for the night, it is painfully slow to respond (and by painfully I mean it takes almost 10 seconds to respond). Reports with charts are a welcomed new feature but they are very small, difficult to read, and in some cases completely unreadable; so they are a nice but for now useless feature
- Also the way the app is designed-structured is not that intuitive and overall there is definitely a lot of room for improvement
- There is no community. I think there is Facebook group but not all us are on Facebook and I am definitely not a Facebook person. This makes the experience pretty lonely which is, at least for me, a significant drawback. By nature, a computer assisted CBT-I program is a solo-thing, but for what I read, in this kind of therapy, a real-life interaction with other people (either doctors and/or fellows insomniacs) plays an important role. In the case of Dreem, if you have questions or doubts you can rely on customer service, which may not respond for a few days or look up for things yourself. Having a more community-based environment would be a very good thing for the overall experience.
*So is it worth the money?* Maybe, but it is way too early for me to tell if it solved my insomnia problem. As far as I can tell the Dreem headband acts “just” as a measurement tool, that it will be used to guide your therapy. The measurements, as said, are mostly correct but the therapy itself is not something they invented (they invented a new way for people to use it, which is great); so if it works or not I think largely depends on how committed you are to solve the problem and if you can keep yourself accountable for your progress (or lack thereof).
As said, the band is a (really neat) tool, but as with every healing process the responsibility is in your (our) hands. I will update my review when finishing the program

I love this headband and...
While I love this headband, and would buy it again, it is difficult to use when travelling (on a plane for long hours) and it has the potential for excellence, but it isn't quite there.
I find it comfortable to sleep with, though my partner can hear the noise and gets really frustrated because of it. I love the wake up process and being able to track my sleep, though I seem to end the night before I'm fully awake.
Almost a 5 star product, is about 4.75 for me. I'm just hoping that it will expand in the future because I want this to be more than a cool gimmick headband.

Worst Customer Service I’ve Experienced
The product is pretty good, the app is okay, needs some work. The problem with this company is the lacklustre customer service. I’ve reached out via live chat several times, I’ve contacted them on Facebook, I’ve sent multiple emails, Dreem doesn’t care to respond. Dreem even sent out an automated survey in which I was prompted to answer questions and they would “try to respond to the questions”. Haven’t heard anything. Several attempts, waited 5 days with no response. In fact, the only time I received a timely response from Dreem was when I was inquiring about PURCHASING the product.
Don’t let the responses to these reviews fool you. After you buy your Dreem, customer service apparently couldn’t care less to help you. For that reason, I can’t recommend the Dreem 2 headband.

Headband sleep data is clearly more accurate than from wrist worn devices. Sleep programs with daily reminders and videos help to form new beneficial habits.

I would avoid this product
I was so excited when I bought the Dreem device; however, my experience since it arrived has been nothing but frustrating. First, I had troubles even creating an account because of some app error. Now, I can finally get into the app, but when I try to set up and pair my device for the first time, I can't get past the wifi step. Given how much I paid, I'm incredibly frustrated at the lack of robustness in this app. I can't comment on the device itself because I can't even get it to work yet, which should tell you something about this product. Unless things turn around, I would strongly discourage anyone from buying a Dreem.

Plenty of Potential
The Dreem product serves a great need. First having the tool to reliably measure what your challenge is. You know sleep is your Achilles heel, but having the numbers to understand and tackle what's going on is step one. The design is functional and I can't honestly say it's really comfortable, but then it also doesn't prevent me from falling asleep. So kudo's to their design.
The second step after unlocking the data there's the things Dreem does to make things better and that's where my interest lies as prior stints with 3 sleep clinics didn't do much to help. Several relaxation options give you options to find the one that suits you. As an example I really found one female voice to instantly annoy me making sleep much harder. On the other hand one of the male voices from the aptly named Calming mode has the potential to send me to sleep substantially faster than I'm used to.
In conclusion I can only recommend this as an option to help you understand and facilitate sleep. Thank you Dreem!

THIS HAS SOME REAL POTENTIAL TO GO BIG
I wrote a review recently about the customer service. I guess now that I received the product and have been using it with my app, I think I'm quite impress. The app feels so tailored, there's always something new to learn. I guess all I can say is keep up the good work guys. You're serving humanity well.

While it is a really interesting idea
While it is a really interesting idea, the final product is not good at all and has a lot of disadvantages:
1) the heavy top arch which causes the falling down while sleeping at back
2) blue LED - the blue light is worst for sleep
3) although they claim that all wireless communication is turned off while wearing the headband, it is still active during relax session
4) cannot get real-time and raw data from headband
5) cannot even export stats including data used in app (sleep stages, position, heart rate in time) especially sleep schedule would be nice to export
6) a lot of information is only in first sleep report and not others (sleep positions, sleep deficit)
7) app is freezing and
8) from the new app they removed stats like HR, sleep onset, etc..
9) support doesn't reply at online chat nor email either

i really have enjoy the headband, is confortable, and you almost didn't notice in the night when you are wearing it.
just i would introduce an extra information about the pills you are taking because when I started to use the band I has taking rivotril but now a days I don't take the medications so my sleep patterns has chance a lot.

Dreem is amazing
Dreem is amazing, but needs some getting used to. I easily recommend this as a pre-step to the sleep doctor's office - you might not need it after Dreem.
