am extremely disappointed with Drift

am extremely disappointed with Drift. I spent nearly $100 on fresheners that lose their scent within 48–72 hours. To make matters worse, I was hit with duplicate billing and received 8–10 extra refills I didn't want. One scent (Teak Wood) even triggers my migraines, making it unusable. I have sent multiple emails regarding orders and requesting a return and subscription cancellation, but the company has gone silent.

Beware! Drift will take your money without your consent

Similar to others here, both myself and the friend who recommended drift to me had an unauthorised purchase taken from our bank accounts a few weeks after our initial purchases.

My friend was refunded after she contacted drift co and I am fairly confident that I will be refunded too, but thats not the point. The point is that drift exploited our trust in providing them with our bank details by signing us up to a subscription service without our knowledge or consent - despite both of us actively opting out of this subscription when we places our initial orders!

Its a shame as its actually self sabotaging on the part of drift because their products are actually very good and I was tempted to recommend them to friends/family and to purchase again - but I ultimately cannot do that due to my moral disagreement with their practice of taking subscription money and placing orders first - then refunding later if/when they are caught and confronted…

Disgusting service

I bought two yearly gift subscriptions on December 12,2025. One has been activated and the other has not because the individual has a new email. I have tried to contact them regarding the issue without success. I have sent 3 emails (no response), 7 phone calls (busy signal), 2 chats on line where I was told an agent would contact me within 24 hours (no response). This is the WORST customer support I have ever encountered with any company. Everyone should take their business elsewhere and not support a company as terrible as this.

I ordered a car freshener with them

I ordered a car freshener with them. I pressed the one time purchase. Ordered 1st of December. And today January 1 they took a payment off my account. And I found out I was on subscription without my knowledge, without me agreeing on this. What a scam… never again.

Purchased 1 time and they set me up on a subscription. I never agreed to a subscription. I see this happens to a lot of customers and they have horrible reviews. You also cannot cancel on line, their website has a "glitch"

Absolute shambolic company

Absolute shambolic company.

Placed a one time order as a guest which took 2 weeks to arrive. I have now received a second order as a subscription order even after choosing to opt out of the merbership/subscription.

The cancellation service on the website is clearly deliberately fake to prevent you from cancelling.

There's no contact details. After completing the online chat option, it states that an email has been sent to their team and that someone will reply in the next 24 hours. Pathetic!

Absolutely disgusted with the marketing…

Absolutely disgusted with the marketing practices of this company.

On Black Friday I decided to purchase 2 stone car air fresheners, I proceeded to purchase as a guest as I didn’t want to maintain a subscription and simply wanted to try the product.

Initially I was impressed, the packaging felt premium and the scent was great for the first few days (although a bit overwhelming on day one). However by 2.5 weeks there was no scent, which was slightly disappointing as I thought the stones were meant to last for 4 weeks

If this was the end of my experience I would have been satisfied enough to leave a 3 star review, but then I received an email today notifying me that my subscription had renewed and my order had been despatched; this was infuriating, if I don’t sign up to your service at checkout, don’t blindly initiate a subscription against my email address, that’s an awful way to conduct yourselves. To top it off, I then created an account with the same email, only to find the subscription cancellation mechanism does not work, the form gets stuck in a submission state.

Another telling sign that they are fine with blindly setting up subscriptions is the “I did not know this was a subscription” option on their cancellation form.

The chat bot on the website told me to perform the steps I just conducted and could not put me through to a customer agent, so now I’m stuck with an unwanted subscription that I cannot cancel open until support@ drift.co reply to my email

Ordered on the 5th December

Ordered on the 5th December. No item received. Could not contact support. Eventually got hold of them. They ignored all emails. Say they resent a will review 29th dec for some reason. Said I was not happy as it was for Xmas, they refused refund then ignored all further messages. Scam company DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. They also turn your one time order into a subscription and do not make this clear. Total scam

Fraudulent transaction

This company, unknowing to me, made a fraudulent order using my credit card for £20. Had to get my credit card cancelled. Shocking behaviour and the fact they can still operate based on other reviews.

Never signed up for membership

Did one time purchase, and 3 months later I received a shipment I didn’t order and charged my credit card. 3 months later again! I have never signed up for their membership! The same happened with another friend and she also never signed up. So, they are charging people without their consent under the membership excuse.

I ordered form drift

I ordered form drift, got my package and was missing 1 air freshner, no biggie, it happens. my complaint is customer service, you cant reach anyone at all. and when you send message you get no response, and the message thing that was on there would say will get you one out, but never recieved my replacement. and i paid for it and cant even get refunded or replacement

Auto refill

I had ordered a car freshener kit. What l thought was a one time order.ivs been receiving orders that I did not want. The drift website says to cancel your subscription. I don't have a subscription so I can't stop the orders that keeps coming. I wish them to stop

Misleading, fraudulent and terrible service

Misleading, pop up came up saying you get a 40% discount. It’s shows you the reduced price but doesn’t show it wasn’t a discount on what you ordered but a second item the same at 40% off.
Refusal to refund the second charge. Terrible customer service

The Beware of this Company actual product does not live up to…

The actual product does not live up to its billing, the fragrance doesn't last as long as Drift claim it will. But the most worrying thing about this company is that they subscribe you to repeat orders and attempt to take the funding from your payment method on a regular basis. I had to log onto PayPal to cancel a subscription that I never made. Please take my advice and stear well clear of Drift (Gent scents) poor products and potentially fraudulent payment methods.

Scammers. Items never arrived and putting you on monthly subscription without any confirmation by you or any information about it. Didn’t send any emails about subscription so if you buy one item you need login to web page into you account to cancel subscription

DO NOT BUY - I purchased starter kit and all was good. I have subsequently have two fake orders placed and money taken from my account. When contacted they always do the whoops sorry bollards total and utter scammers
