Daniel at Glasgow Airport went above and beyond to help me! At what was a very stressful time for me he was understanding and kind.
Easy pickup, very relaxed checkout, clear instructions and no hassle. Had a bus to pick up and take back to the airport that ran like clockwork. Would use again in Glasgow!
We now regularly use Drivalia when renting cars from Glasgow Airport. Prices are much cheaper than the on-site companies, cars are absolutely great as are the staff and the free shuttle bus transfer i... See more

Rude unhelpful staff who threatened “I’m not going to give you the car then” when I queried the charges, we got different car to what was booked, had to pay unexpected charges on pick up, including a massive £1500 deposit which took a long time to be returned, no signage on drop off and I was instructed to move the car from one side of a line to the other before they would process return. Overall the least pleasant car hire company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Avoid, even if it means paying a few pounds more, you will regret using these cowboys.

I cannot recommend them sadly. I cannot really undersatnd why a car hire firm requires so much personal, sensitive information to hire. You'll need a passport, driving license, a credit card (only in the drivers name) and then a bill dated very close to the time of hiring and then the dvla drivers code. If you'd like to provide all of that and also be in Paisley.....rather than hire at Glasgow airport I'd hire from these people. Conversely other car hire firms require a drivers license and the DVLA code and that's it. The credit card can be in another person's name, great if you use one card for both of you and only one of you is the driver. This is much more convenient and the staff are pleasant and helpful. Well worth paying for. It's a hard swerve from me.

Terrible attitude and service from this company. Tried to charge triple the price when I arrived to pick the car up and refused to give me a car at the agreed cost. Would strongly recommend staying away from them. The bad apple of the bunch. They are nowhere near the airport either. Ended up using Europcar at the airport who were very helpful and honest.

Very efficient collection from Glasgow Airport to the car hire desk.
Nice clean car provided with a smooth check in procedure.
Returning the car was a breeze and the transfer back to the airport by our driver Connor was quick and included some welcome friendly conversation.
Will definitely use Drivalia for our next trip.

Very easy process. Pick up and drop (by Connor - shout out to him) was very efficient and the driver was friendly and drove safe. The car was very clean and was fine. Had to pay a large safety deposit, will update review if it is not promptly returned.

Absolutely shocking . Arrived 1 hour late after flying in from Australia via Dubai. I had prepaid for the small car, they told me that they gave it away due to me being 1 hour late, Said they would have to give me an upgrade at another 700 pound cost. Left there and went to Enterprise hired another car for 300 pounds, a typical Drivalia ploy, please people do not hire from the from Drivalia or go through Booking .com, The manager Peter Kerr is an ignorant little man along with all office staff.

Less than one star if we could! Total lack of cooperation/support after leaving us in the lurch without an appropriate vehicle with less than one day's notice. Following the agent's advice, we used a smaller car for less than one day while searching for the vehicle we needed for our large family. Then after returning home, they refused to issue a pro-rated refund for the 6 unused days. Six months later and still no satisfaction. Case is now closed by their customer "service" agents. Have never had such a dissatisfying experience renting a car.

Drivalia continues its policy of ignoring complaints and being hard to reach
Refer my earlier correspondence on October 21 referencing a complaint from a hire on July 23 where fault has been admitted by Drivalia ( yes we did rent you a car without an oil cap being fitted) compensation was offered and accepted and nothing has been heard from them since ! Do not trust them the prices look great but the heartache and inconvenience goes on for ever ,because they don’t answer phones or emails nor do they compensate when they say that they will

Overall the process ie check in and check out was relatively simple. Price of a van compared to Arnold Clark or Enterprise is a bargain.
Was a bit surprised to say the least that the medium van which we specifically booked, was extended by the customer before us so we were given a long wheel base version.
I was then informed that in addition to needing fuel, it desperately required AdBlue. No problem on the fuel side, guess you expect that but not 2 top ups.
MPG on this diesel was absolutely awful. That said Drivalia are a valid and legit player for car and van hire in Glasgow.

Following a long and arduous journey from Australia to visit father who is very ill with cancer, arrived at Drivalia, Glasgow Airport to be met with completely unacceptable and inappropriate actions. Having been held up at customs, a situation out with my control, arrived to be told that the car I had hired and paid for (via booking.com), was no longer available and would be required to pay a further £350 for another vehicle. On top of that required a £2,000 excess to be placed on my credit card, which would restrict funds (to £500, given my requirement to assist parents financially during my visit would have been inappropriate. I was forced to leave, hire another vehicle from a different company. Following discussions with the manager, Mr. Peter Kerr, he accepted that it was handled very badly, and assured me it would be refunded within 3/5days. Having chased him repeatedly we were advised that he had no intention of pursuing and failed to honour his promise, retracting any refund or help in the matter. Have now written directly to Head Office, Customer Complaints and Booking.com - all have failed to respond. They claim I was a no show, which in fact is in factual and untrue. I arrived to collect, ,albeit late but prepared to take car but felt it was all handled with a lack of transparency and dishonesty.
After a number of days waiting for a response, have this afternoon received a reply from Mr. Peter Kerr, hasten to add astounded by the false narrative, disinformation and inaccuracy of the facts. Not only was he in full agreement in respect to both the holding deposit given the circumstances, but given that they failed to provide a suitable car (and confirmed as a No Show), which again was untrue, he is now providing a complete prevarication of the facts as they unfolded. We were met with abrupt and rude staff during every call placed, and yet has accused us of being rude, when we expressed only frustration by the fact, all of our calls were ignored, we were advised to call back as he was at lunch, then told he had left early, provided contact details to which he failed to have the courtesy of returning any calls, or addressing emails and now find ourselves being told the matter 'IS CLOSED', no refund, no apology and very poor management of the entire situation from start to finish - we will never use this company again.
Just received a response from Customer Complaints - they have asked that I updated via their booking system, again made many attempts but this failed, just as everything else with the booking had. To lack care or compassion during the hire of this vehicle, required to transport ailing father for chemo sessions is very poor performance indeed. Therefore please do us the courtesy of handling in a more professional and timely manner our full complaint
After weeks of unacceptable responses - both booking.com or Drivalia refused to refund - although it was promised given the circumstances.
THEREFORE, GIVEN THE CURRENT CLIMATE, AIR TRAFFIC PROBLEMS, PLEASE BE AWARE REGARDLESS OF IF YOU ARE HELD UP AT CUSTOMS OUT WITH YOUR CONTROL, THEY HAVE DECENCY OF TRYING TO ACCOMMODATE OR HELP IN THIS MATTER - A DISTINCT LACK OF CUSTOMER CARE
Response received:
Thank you for your message and for taking the time to explain the situation regarding your car rental.
We completely understand how frustrating flight delays and cancellations can be, especially when they affect your travel and car rental plans.
After reviewing your case, we kindly ask you to refer to the terms and conditions outlined in your voucher. According to these terms, EconomyBookings is not responsible for changes or disruptions to flight schedules, nor for any resulting costs or inconveniences.
While we always do our best to accommodate customers experiencing delays, the rental supplier may not be able to hold the vehicle or keep the rental desk open once the scheduled pick-up time has passed. As stated in the conditions, if the vehicle is not collected at the confirmed date and time and no prior cancellation is made, the booking is considered a no-show, and unfortunately, no refund can be issued. These terms were available and confirmed during the booking process by selecting “I agree to the terms and conditions,” and are also displayed on your confirmation voucher.
We truly regret that we cannot offer the resolution you were hoping for on this occasion. We understand this outcome is disappointing, and we genuinely empathize with the difficulties caused by flight disruptions. For potential compensation related to flight issues, we recommend reaching out directly to your airline or travel insurance provider, as they are best positioned to assist in such cases.
We truly appreciate your understanding and are here to help in any way we can.
Kind regards,
Megan
