Paid for hire car , forgot to bring credit card, my bad, instead of going back and forward to ayrshire to get it asked guy can I pick car up tomorrow and will take the hit for 1 day hire, he says no problem, returned next morning 0830, different guy, no car , no booking, no refund, says I had to take car the same day or it would he cancelled, I said if I'd have known that I would have came back same day......Kenny said "not my problem"..... even though i checked website and there was another car available he just didn't care ....went to hertz ...trust the experts

Had to pay more than double the price to get my car, as I was late picking it up. Apparently after 4 hours the "system" reallocates your car, and conveniently the only car they had available now is an upgraded one. Even though I could still make a new booking for the same size car that day... They mention innovation in their marketing, the system really does not seem very innovative. A bad experience, I won't use again. No blame towards the staff, they were good, but just seems typical of the scams associated with car hire

A shambolic company. Avoid at all cost. From the moment you turn up at this waste land of a site, it's problematic.
1. They require two forms of photographic and proof of address, unusual in car hire as one is the norm.
2.bully you into thier insurance scam.
3.car was not ready after the check in fiasco. Then informed we had to take an electric car when booked a petrol car.
4. Car was not valet. Excrement on passenger carpet mat. Inside and outside in a terrible state to give to customers. Very unprofessional.
5. Gentleman asked about how to charge car with electricity, he had no clue was totally vague, or not interested.
6.will pass the buck blaming third parties, the fault is at there poor customer service.
Do not use this company. It's a scam. Totally unprofessional and no customer service at all. It will only give you problems.

Do not use this company! I turned up to collect car and was met with a hard see for extra insurance as there was a £1500 deposit otherwise. I felt pressured to take the waiver and was even offered a 'great deal' that day. I felt I was being conned. I didn't take the insurance and spent the whole weekend worrying. I did get the car bak without any other changes however I have to wait up to 28 days to get the £1500 back which is on my credit card.

had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with Drivalia.
I booked a car through Booking. included full insurance in the booking. However, when I arrived to collect the car, I was told that my insurance was completely void because the booking was made under “Chris” while my driving licence says “Christopher.” This minor difference in name — which is very common and should be easily understood — was enough for them to refuse my original booking terms and force me to pay an extra £120 for insurance on the spot.
There was no warning during the booking process that such a minor name discrepancy could cause this issue, and no flexibility or understanding shown at the desk. It felt like a technicality used to upsell their own insurance rather than provide fair customer service.
For a company dealing with international and domestic travelers, this level of rigidity and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I won’t be using them again, and I’d advise others to be very careful — make sure the name on your booking exactly matches your ID, or you could end up paying a lot more than expected

They are extremely thin with the ground staff. So you have to wait for like 1 hour at the office just to get a car!
I had everything in place, the license and the credit card, and that should be pretty much right? But no they want your bank statements and utility bills which is insane just to do a car rental.
Super disappointed and please don’t use unless you have a lot of time to waste with these people.

Avoid booking with this company at all costs. I was scammed and completely ignored for a month. After a long wait, the regional manager finally contacted me and claimed the case was closed. Do not trust them—they will lie and deceive you. I was told my £50,000 insurance policy wouldn’t cover the car I rented, even though the car is worth far less than that. They insisted their policy required a £75,000 coverage. Total scammers. There are plenty of reputable companies out there—don’t waste your time with this one.

SCAM SCAM SCAM
Please do yourself an favour and avoid this company. They lie to you to make you take their insurance cover of £45 a day and when you find out it’s a lie and complain, they ignore you. No customer service at all and scammed me out of £180. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Scammers, avoid this company at all costs!
This company is an absolute disgrace and a complete scam. If you’re wondering why their prices are so cheap, it’s because they will rip you off the moment you collect and return the vehicle.
I was forced into buying a £180 insurance policy because they claimed my existing policy wasn’t good enough, even though it covered the car up to £50,000. Their rep, Gary, insisted that their policy required coverage up to £70,000, which is ridiculous since the car wasn’t even worth that much. Despite explaining this, he refused to let me hire the car unless I paid extra. It was clear he was taking advantage of tourists.
Then, when returning the car, the worker took the key from us and then blatantly lied, pretending he never had it. We wasted 20 minutes searching the car and our suitcases, only to find out he had it all along. After already being scammed, this felt like yet another attempt to con us into paying for a new key.
I have tried to raise a dispute with Drivalia, but they have ignored me for weeks. Their customer service is non-existent, and they clearly have no interest in resolving complaints.
This company is an absolute disgrace. Do yourself a favour and rent from a reputable company instead.
And no, I will not be replying to the customer service portal to help you locate the booking as I’ve been completely ignored on the portal.
