Tried to use this, primarily for its security features, but just so much else is missing. First, I have minor sight problems so the ability to change text size and font is important. But there... See more

Noob sokmoter
it is the shitiest sokmoter its abselutly poop its like noob
Installed it
Installed it. Completely slowed down PC so removed very quickly. You would think with it "advertising" that it would just be a simple browser with no spy stuff etc. without attracting all the other stuff that other browsers come with. Complete opposite.
Can't believe they partnered with Yelp
Can't believe they partnered with Yelp, slow internet speeds, I've tried it not as good as Google it's too slow and I'm not sure how safer it is to google, and you can simply just turn off your tracking on Google and I have to worry about it.
When the app wants your credit card…
When the app wants your credit card claiming we won't charge you. It's a no you don't need it.

Total rubbish slows down pc then kept losing all my saved tabs was alright till a week ago then went nothing changed on pc just duck failed, now back on chrome and no more problems and pc is much faster
Downloads not possible with a VPN
This is an ongoing issue (Bug) within the app that has been ongoing for more than two years. The very fact that the developers would rather lose users than fix the issue says it all really.
Considering that DDG is supposedly privacy based, it will not allow you to download anything, files or otherwise if you are using a VPN.
Due to a lack of a fix I'm starting to doubt DDG's privacy claims as this is bizarre. Why would they not want to fix this issue?.....
Uninstalled....I'm off elsewhere.
Easy to Install, Powerful Protection from Data Harvesters
Switching to DuckDuckGo has been one of the best tech decisions I’ve made. Right after installing it (which was super easy and took just a couple of minutes), I immediately noticed how many data scrapers it blocks behind the scenes. It’s honestly shocking how much tracking goes on — and now I feel a lot more protected.
The search quality is really good and keeps getting better. It’s a huge improvement over the increasingly annoying experience on Chrome or Google, where it feels like you’re swimming through ads and paid results just to find real information. DuckDuckGo feels clean, focused, and genuinely user-first.
Since switching, I feel way more organized and in control of my internet use. It’s reassuring to know that giant data brokers aren’t harvesting my personal information just because a search engine profits from it. DuckDuckGo gives me more confidence and peace of mind online, and I’m happy to finally support a platform that’s focused on privacy rather than exploitation. Highly recommend making the switch!
Don't trust them.
Well, DuckDuckGo is in bed with Yelp which is telling. Yelp is well known to have questionable business practices and extorting business for advertising dollars by suppressing good reviews until businesses pay up. Birds (er, ducks) of a feather, right? If you are unfamiliar with the shady practices of yelp, google it. While I'm not a big fan of Google for obvious privacy reasons, they don't extort money for reviews. There are a few new browsers in development from other companies coming out soon, hopefully they are better than Google and Duck Duck Go.
Scammers paradise
I was recommended to use duck duck go. However yesterday searching for a way to find my sons missing phone the top recommendation turned out to be a scammer. Scannero.io Strangely this has now disappeared but they tried to take £37+ from my bank account when I had authorised £.71. Fortunately they were stopped by my bank (I hope). This poor level of security is not acceptable to and I will be looking elsewhere.
Gives such bad search results.

Feels like google had an accident.
It also doesnt autofill most sites I regularly use
followed online
today im still being followed online but duckduckgo is there every time block across apps from other apps this what the hackers are doing now trying to get personnel information on individual. Thank you duckduckgo for always being there your tracking app is the number one tracking i think in world thank you for giving me hope and comfort for issue i'm having. It's a 5 stars and above for duckduckgo tracking app thank you MS
I'm frustrated with ignored search results
I have used the "Duck" for quite a while, and sometimes I want to throw my laptop across the room. It returns the WORST search results ever! Some results are not even close to what I asked for or ignored all together. I'm forced to use AI on the Duck now. At least it returns info on what I asked for. Why bother with any search engines as they have all gone to hell and no one can tell us why. They apparently aren't going to fix it either.
Try to trick you to download unwanted software
Too much trying to interfere and shoehorn unwanted "extras" in. Now I don't get any search results- just a blank page. Turning off Kaspersky I DO get results but lose protection. There's also a misleading notice to click to "set Duckduck as default". Pressing this then comes up with a dialog to download and INSTALL something. Duckduck already is the default (Chrome and Firefox). Dirty trick, no wonder Kaspersky blocked it. Back to Google.
DuckDuckGo is the best search engine
I literally have no idea why people are giving 1 star. Go easy on Mr Ducky, he didn't do anything bad... DuckDuckGo is the #1 search engine for me. It's really similar to Google but without all the ad and tracking bullsh**. 5 stars, perfect search engine.
Best search website out there to…
Best search website out there to protect big tech from stealing your data.
I have been enjoying Duckduckgo
I have been enjoying Duckduckgo. Recently had to move back to Google due to some work related stuff. But now taking back control of my data. People say that results are not as good as google. I say they are in par with Google. Great work Duckduckgo for helping us with privacy and security.
I can only suggest that anyone who…
I can only suggest that anyone who thinks being bombarded by advertising, on a self proclaimed ad free platform, quite possibly is a sandwich short of a picnic. It took ages, to install, had nothing but grief, got out fast as I could. Best thing since sliced bread??
Give me a lovely crusty full loaf, an a bread knife anyway, thanks 😊
I am back on my pesky Google, it may be a pain in the ass, but I know from years of usage, what I am getting. You can press SKIP. when ads come on.
Say what they mean, and mean what they say!
I've only used Duck Duck Go for 24 hours, and they've blocked 1,293 trackers!! This is fantastic. I can't believe how manipulated I've been with Google and MS. No more...it's Duck Duck Go all the way for me from now on! Love it!
Private but Lacking
It doesn’t actually block ads, just the targeted ones. The news search? A mess—outdated and random results. And the browser itself is too basic—no extensions, little customization, and occasional site glitches.
Privacy?????
Thought I'd give the browser a try. Unlike any other, I found it incredibly difficult to install. After several attempts, I succeded with an app installer downloaded from Microsoft Store. Why does it have to be so difficult?
I have uninstalled it already, because I found that it retains all of your search history. The next time you open the browser everything is there from your previous session, under History in the menu. If you don't delete it manually, any snooper could see it. How can this possibly be a 'Privacy Browser'?
