Worst products out… Fabric pods (intense black) isn’t permanent, starts fading after a couple of washes & makes clothes look worse than before I dyed them… Also Dylan Dark detergent doesn’t even work... See more

It's rubbish used for ages on same colour clothes.done nothing
Washing machine essentially ruined by this.
Washing machine essentially ruined after using black dye. Followed all instructions. Did extra cleaning cycles after use to be sure. Ran another cleaning cycle with bleach after an incident. Have had several lighter clothing items marked from residual specks of dye. Even today another shirt marked about a month after initially using dye. I have run three more cleaning cycles today alone & still specks of dye coming out.
Have used Dr Beckmann / Calgon / Soda Crystals as cleaning agents.
Terrible - avoid!
I used an olive green dye on a new, freshly washed and damp linen jacket on a 40 degree full cotton wash (not an eco programme). All as per instructions. The colour is lovely but the jacket is covered in blue dots all over and only fit for the bin. Very unhappy and will never buy Dylon for machines again.
I used Sandy Beige on freshly washed…
I used Sandy Beige on freshly washed white cotton fabric and it came out with dark blue patches all over it. Very disappointed as the actual colour was just what I was looking for.
Meh - varied results on different 100% cotton items - but all left with some degree of minor smears and areas of speckles
Meh - I've used this on diff types of cotton fabric and had diff results despite the items all being roughly the same colour to each other before I begun the whole drawn out process. It has actually dyed and darkened my items, but don't look too closely otherwise the dark streaks and slight patchiness becomes obvious. The worst so far is sandy beige which, like others mention, leaves red and blue speckles (and a lovely purple smear) on my pillow cases. These also came out a dirty grey/beige at the edges and a more sandy colour in the middle despite the fabric not being faded (I just wanted it a slightly stronger beige colour rather than off -white). This is not the colour it says on the tub, it's much darker. It's not cheap either: with the cost of dyes, running the machine 3x or more each session at 60 degrees, time spent faffing around preparing and drying etc, and the unreliable results its probably better just to put up with imperfection or buy a new item.
Does not Work at All
Followed instructions, NO change in colour waste of money- do not buy! Have dyed many clothes using Dylon in previous years- they must have changed the formula
Sandy Beige left blue blotches
I have successfully used Dylon washing machine dyes before with great success so, had no hesitation in using another.
This time I used Sandy Beige and have been left with blue blotches all over my duvet cover. The cover is now unusable.
Poor end result
Awful product. Followed the instructions to the letter and the dye didn't make any difference. Ended up patchy slightly darker.patches. Have used dyes in the past that worked. This definitely doesn't. Great advertising poor end result.
Worst thing I’ve ever purchased! 😡
Used Intense Black to hand dye a brand new grey mini dress, followed instructions, absolutely no change in colour & new dress completely ruined now with patchy grey splodges. How is this company getting away with selling dyes that are not fit for purpose, ruining clothes in the process. A dye has only one job to do, will never use a Dyson product again EVER! 😡😡😡
Doesn't work
Used the Intense Black dye, the hand one as I didn't want to contaminate the washing machine. Didn't make any difference to a pair of faded black trousers. Waste of money and time tbh.

I would give Dylon colour catchers no stars If I could. Used them today and my washing turned pink, been using Dr Beckman for years no problems at all. Contacted their customer service and got an email back wanting photos of all care instructions of every item photos of every item the list was endless just try to prove that it was something I did on a 30 wash! These are not up standard and cannot do the job they say it can. Useless product and useless customer service.

Used dylon intense black on my blue jeans following all instructions. The jeans are a little darker blue now but with black speckles making them unwearable. Not happy.
Have twice now used dylon pods pods to dye…
Have twice now used dylon washing machine pods to dye two pairs of blue jeans, the colour both times was supposed be intense black, i followed all the instructions but both times when they came out they were still blue, with darker blue patches all over them, a total waste of money, and two pairs of ruined jeans.
Dress ruined with blue and pink speckles NOT Sandy Beige
I followed the instructions to the letter and my brand new white dress is ruined. I used ‘Sandy Beige’ and my white dress is now a sandy beige but covered in BLUE and PINK speckles! I’ve no idea how to rectify this!? Any suggestions Dylon???
Intense black hand soak dye
I use the hand wash dye intense black, followed the instructions I thought the amount of salt seemed a lot but I went athe instructions, I need to dye a black denim jacket because I didn't like the faded look it's brand new, but it's turned out more faded, I run under water for 20 mins for water to run clear, dried it indoors looks chalky like , I so disappointed because Cotton fabric should be the best fabric to dye, I've used dyes before so I know when they have taken and this definitely didn't
Amazing
I bought Fresh Orange in Germany as it is not available in Denmark. The result exceeded all my expectations! Gorgeous colour. 2nd wash with soap, I added some dark clothes due to saving water and energy. No problem.
Very happy.
NEVER USE DYLON 'ALL IN ONE' BLACK IN YOUR WASHING MACHINE
Having following meticulously the instructions - the end result of using Dylon 'All in one' black dye (in the washing machine, as detailed on the instructions) has been a disaster. The dye made absolutely no difference/improvement to the garment, however that ended up as the least of my worries.
I cleaned the machine as instructed, but even 20 washes later, it still had black dye granules attaching themselves to clothing.
As a precaution, I did dark washes before thinking it was safe to do a white wash. In doing so I have ruined tee-shirts, school uniforms, vests and pillow cases.
I reported this to 'Henkel/ dylon' customer services and explained that having followed all instructions what had happened. In response I received a lengthy questionnaire. Had they bothered to read the content of what I originally sent they would not have needed to ask most of the questions.
I see from many other reviews that I am not alone in having garments destroyed. So whilst I am not going to waste time pursuing this further with Henkel/dylon. I would give this advice to anyone considering using this product in their washing machine - DON'T !!
Sandy Beige with pink and blue speckles.
I have used Dylon in the washing machine many, many times to refresh black jeans successfully and much preferred the old Wash and Dye plastic sachets to these tubs that knock against the drum and take up space in the recycling.
This time I used sandy beige which left blue and pink speckles all over my light chinos. Dreadful. Judging by other reviews there is clearly a problem with the batch. Dylon should recall this particular product from the shops
IT WILL DESTROY YOUR WASHING MACHINE! ☢️⚠️
When I used this product it destroyed my washing machine. I had to get my washing machine replaced and even when I sent evidence of the destruction caused by using this product to Dylon, they denied responsibility even though I followed the instructions to the letter written on the actual product itself.
If you are thinking of using this, don't!!!! Then again if you want to replace your washing machine go ahead but I hope you've got the money in the bank to buy a new one! I hope you'll also enjoy picking grey gunk off of all of your clothing after you use the product as well. Trust me it's really not worth it. You'd be better off buying new clothes rather than causing yourself the hassle of trusting this company which is something I did. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!
Surprisingly good product
Surprisingly good product, I used less than I was suppose to, actual 75% less and got a good result. Il be buying it again to get a better colour. I'd recommend that you buy the product from the retailer rather than Amazon.
