I cant believe this is not closed yet!
I sold item for 365eur, they robbing scammers ebay charged their fees and my total i get 290eur plus i need to make a shipping international around 35eur.
I cant believe humanity gone completely. Wow.
DO NOT use ebay at all if you dont want to be scammed sneaky way.

I'd give zero stars if I could. After being scammed I received no refund. The customer care is atrocious. I'll never order from them again. Stay away.

Ordered perfume several months ago,was informed the order was lost and I'd be refunded,that was also months ago,I tried contacting the seller to no avail.Will never order from eBay again,I just wouldn't take the chance.

I have used eBay for years, and I bought a laptop and it broke on arrival. The screen was flickering every now and then. Ebay gave me a full refund and let me keep the computer. Now, bear in mind I have done business with eBay for 20 years and bought several laptops, and this was the first time I had an issue. Top company.

Just after making 2 purchases, they locked me out of my account. I tried to login again but I have an outdated phone number and they refused to update it, even though I provided them ALL the information they asked for AND security code to verify my identity. The only solution they gave me was to make a new account and if I needed any help with my purchase, I would have to call them again.

I ordered an iPhone for €1115 for my daughters 16th birthday present. It showed delivered so I contacted the seller to say that its showing delivered but i never received it, but no joy. I then contacted eBay.ie who said we'll look at your case and get back to you in three days. After 3 days I got a reply saying item is showing as delivered so case is closed. I tried to contact them again but was told case is closed. Next stop is the credit union for me as I will have to borrow money to buy my daughter a new phone (not from eBay) as I would hate to disappoint her.

E Bay allows customers to be scammed and they do not do anything to help.

I've used Ebay to buy and sell for over 10 years. Once you know how to figure out good and bad sellers, it's really great to use for deals and shopping. They also have a money back guarantee if you are worried.

This is my first time shopping with eBay.ie ,it all looked fine at the start but has gone down hill since!! Waiting on a delivery from the UK for nearly two weeks now with little or no updates on where or when my parcel will arrive, a pure joke!!

Also I sent messages to seller and courier "musicmagpie+whistl "and gone no reply, disappointing.

Delivery company said my package go damaged beyond repair but yet eBay won’t release my money back to me for another 5 days when I’ve paid for it 3 weeks ago. Saying they are giving seller 5 days to reply but seller doesn’t have my money and never had until it’s delivered which it’s never going to be

I wouldn't recommend eBay I ordered boots it's tuck weeks to get them and the were terrible bad no good I ordered slingshot bands and after sending me a tracking number it said delivered I didn't get them then they told me the couldn't ship them oh it's a big joke and my refund I was down 8 euros for nothing so no and most of the stuff they have is dirt fake sellers

I bought an item worth 750 euros from a seller which turned out to be a scammer.

In a message he sent was "mention incentive, offer some free product and prolong the warranty".

While talking over the chat i was also trying to get a phone call, first time it asked me if i wish to get a call back, 20minutes wait time, and hour later bo phone call.

Im calling and waiting for 2 hours straigh, no answer

Finally, got on chat support( lasted over an hour) and there is nothing they can do.

By consumer protection law, buying good online in Ireland we are protected by 14 days cool off period, which ebay seems to ignore.

All in all, I bought an item at 2pm, cancel request sent at 2.32pm, seller responded couple of times trying to reassure me to keep on the sale, and after being persistent on cancelling, seller stopped responding.

Now I have to wait for a bit over a month to open a dispute and get money back.

Got extra customs despite being VAT on eBay but they were really helpful and refunded extra customs quick

Customer service is an absolute joke I've been trying to call for weeks now with no answer. I made a purchase on Oct 29 I received the item on the 13th of November. When I inspected the product it turned out to be a fake I did try for a refund which the seller did not accept. I'm very up set about this as ebay is supposed to have a money back guarantee policy. Now I'm left with a fake t-shirt I paid 300 for.

Total joke. I haven't ordered from eBay for years and now I remember why. Received a totally incorrect order. Seller tells me to contact eBay. Why? I contact eBay. Hear nothing. Ring the support line. Keeps auto disconnecting. Disgusting company. NEVER AGAIN. HORRIBLE

Return postage for a faulty item has cost me as much as the cost of the item, which eBay and the seller refused to refund to me. The message on eBay clearly stated: Please post item back and provide tracking number. So, be aware if you buy something on eBay and the item arrives faulty - You will be left out of pocket because they have a loophole to scam you out of return postage cost after you have posted the item back!

I recently made an account to try and sell some stuff I didn’t need anymore. Everything seemed fine until I made a sale and suddenly eBay started constantly telling me that my bank account couldn’t be verified and that I needed to use a different one. Once I entered a different bank account, they said verification would happen in up to 48 hours, this never happened and I continued to get the bank account not verified notifications. They also said my money would be held until the 21st of November, making it hard for me to get required shipping since it was expensive to the country I had to send it to especially without receiving the funds from the customer. I tried to find a contact email which apparently is just nonexistent, their agent chat system barely worked and the agent didn’t seem to understand what my problem was. I ended up having to refund the customer and explain everything, we’ve decided to just contact each other over social media and sort out a payment and delivery plan ourselves as they still want the items. I wish eBay had better customer service or at least an email people could contact when there was an issue or they needed help.
Update: eBay emailed me a few days ago claiming they couldn’t verify my bank account and also claiming that I had not made any updates to my account to fix this problem, even though I had updated my bank account 3 times on the app. Needless to say, I wont be using eBay for selling any time soon.
