EC Markets is a scam broker. They blocked my account and removed my legitimate USD14,446 profits. Forced me to agree that I did toxic trade by holding my capital as ransom. Took 3 and half months to return my capital. DO NOT trade with this broker if you want to keep your profits!

I chose EC Markets specifically because I needed an ECN account to run an Expert Advisor (EA). After doing my research, they seemed like the right fit.
The Timeline:
• Feb 2 2026: I deposited funds and transferred them to my MT5 account (81085720). My EA ran smoothly, even with a high latency of around 328ms.
• Feb 10 2026: I requested a withdrawal of my profits.
• Feb 12 2026: Instead of my funds, I received an email effectively suspending my account.
It is ironic that EC Markets claims to be a 'True ECN' broker, yet penalized me for profitable trading on a personal computer with a standard, 320ms connection—hardly the setup for high-frequency manipulation.
Currently, I am locked out of the portal and told to wait for an 'investigation.' Based on other user reviews and Clause 20.14 of their Client Agreement, they reserve the right to withhold funds and suspend accounts without explanation for up to 6 months. Beware of this broker if you plan on withdrawing profits.

EC Markets has completely failed in handling my withdrawal in a professional or transparent manner.
My withdrawal has now been held for over 15 days, despite the fact that I completed KYC verification, submitted all required documents, and fully cooperated with their team. Instead of resolving the issue, EC Markets keeps sending copy-paste responses about “investigation” and “liquidity provider review” with absolutely no real update, no accountability, and no confirmed release date.
This is not how a serious or trustworthy broker operates. Holding a client’s funds for weeks while hiding behind vague explanations is a massive red flag. It feels like they are deliberately delaying withdrawals rather than genuinely resolving the issue.
Customer support is ineffective and avoids giving straight answers. For a company that markets itself as a big, reliable broker, this behavior is extremely concerning and damages their credibility.
Based on my experience, I strongly warn other traders:
Be very careful with EC Markets. Getting your money out may become a nightmare.
If this is how they treat verified clients, it seriously raises questions about their integrity and business practices.

A terrible experience with the ECMarkets broker. My Account MT5: 8107873. I started with a deposit of $3082 on January 20, 2026. I began trading XAUUSD with a very small volume of only 0.02 lots. All my trades were held for a considerable amount of time. By January 26, 2026, I had made a profit of $721 and attempted to withdraw my total capital and profit of $3804, but they refused to let me withdraw and deleted my MT5 account, holding all my funds, including my initial deposit. They then sent an email notifying me of an investigation within 10 days without providing any reason to prove any wrongdoing in my trading. They even confiscated my initial deposit without any explanation to this day. I urge the Trustpilot community to strongly condemn this fraudulent behavior by ECMarkets. I will provide all transaction proof - deposit history if necessary. Thank you, TrustPilot.

A very bad broker. I was manipulated. They opened positions without my knowledge. Withdrawals take a very long time. Spreads often widen indefinitely.

On 8/12/2025, I received an email from EC Markets stating that after reviewing my trading account, they had identified some trades as “toxic flow.” Based on this allegation, they decided to close my account, cancel all profits, and cited Section 23 of their Client Agreement.
In the same email, EC Markets clearly stated that if I agreed, they would refund my initial deposit “as soon as possible.” I replied in same day within minutes confirming my agreement and provided all required information for the refund, including confirming that the refund could be made via the same method as the deposit.
On the same day, EC Markets acknowledged my reply and stated that they had received my confirmation and would contact me within 10 working days to process the refund.
However, after waiting more than 10 working days, there was no update and no refund. I began following up via email and live chat. Each time, I received the same generic response:
“Thank you for contacting us. Please rest assured that we are addressing your issue and will respond as soon as possible.”
As of today, it has been almost one month since 8/12/2025, and more than 15 working days have passed (excluding public holidays). Despite repeated follow-ups, there has been no clear timeline, no confirmation of refund processing, and no accountability from EC Markets.
Live chat support repeatedly claimed that someone would email or contact me. Someone did eventually contact me, but even that person said they were still waiting for a reply from the support team. Since then, nothing has progressed.
To be clear, this is not about trading profits. I accepted their decision, cooperated fully, and only requested the refund of my own initial deposit, which they themselves promised in writing.
So far, all I have received are repeated automated responses and delays, while my money remains unpaid. I still waiting for my own money.
Very disappointing experience. Feels like being scammed.
