Most energy companies are dreadful and thought these were better. I'm currently just £74 in debit after a year with them and coming into the summer. Where my bill will go lower. They now want increase my bill by £42 per month. Which is £504 per year. My usage won't change and I'll m on a fixed tariff. So if I paid the amount they asking this last 12 month I'd be £430 credit. Now someone tells me how is that new amount fair? And considering it my money , shouldnt that be in my bank account not theirs

They've trippled our direct debit, to a monthly charge of minimum 400GBP a month - according to usage, which is impossible as it's only a 2 people household.
Ridiculous customer service, after swapping provider, it's has gone down more than half again.
Terrible provider, shame on you for exploiting us on utility bills.

Excellent customer service from Ecotricity! I’ve had a couple of house moves and cancellations along the way, but the customer service team — especially Lauren, among others — guided me through the whole process without any hassle. They’ve been consistently polite, understanding, and genuinely helpful, and everything was resolved smoothly and efficiently.

Very friendly call handler, immediately asked which communication method would be preferred and moved through the needed information quickly without feeling rushed

They've trippled our direct debit, to an amount far in excess of our highest monthly bill, and do not have any way of explaining why, or how, they have calculated the new charge. They won't lower it. Terrible customer service - Octopus are much better.

I had a great experience with Ecotricity. The customer service was lovely, with a short wait time and pleasant music while I waited. The website is clear, easy to use, and very transparent. They also offered the best fixed price tariff at the time, and I appreciate that they are an ethical, green, and long-standing supplier.

I gave my entire years usage from British gas to them in January. They said it's £86 a month on those figures. I was happy. 4 months on I'm £360 in arrears and they want £202 a month!!! Avoid this company people. I've received legal advice and it's common practice to get customers by mis selling

The person I spoke to was friendly, responsive & informative. I requested a callback in 10 minutes, which she accommodated happily. Changing my direct debit instructions was straightforward and quick.

Switching was really easy Lauren was very friendly explained everything very clearly. Additionally, it feels good knowing my money is going to be reinvested in green energy, and not in shareholder pockets.

Been with Ecotricity for 3 years (Recently built, 2 bed flat, only electricity) just a few points on where things have fealt like a punch to the gut over the years.
- Average bill came to £120/m, me and my partner do not use a lot of electricity. For example our new property which is more than double the square footage gas and electricity is closer to £80/m
- Felt like we were held hostage by ecotricity. After our first year we tried to move supplier, we received email responses from them all stating they cannot take over the supply (but they would like to) and told us to contact ecotricity. The response from ecotricity was essentially 'tough luck buddy'.
- Went on a nice 20 day holiday to celebrate our engagement. Turned everything off at the mains including the water heater and our bill was still just over £100 for that month 👀
- When we did move out we provided a metre reading and got a final bill of ~£80 (for the 20 days of the billing period we were there) the account was then closed. 4 weeks later we got another final bill of £40 (What?) When I called the agent told me they used an estimate reading to generate this bill. When they re-took the reading, I uploaded a month earlier, it reduced the bill to ~£8. Still thinking why I have two final readings.
Could I have argued all of these points with them, yes, but who has the time. If these happened to me i wonder how many other families are also being ripped off (kinda seems like fraudulant behaviour to me) due to what I assume is just 'Standard operating proceedure'

The service I received from Liyarna was truly outstanding and went way beyond my expectations. My enquiries were a pre cursor to switching to Ecotricity after over 10 years with mu current supplier. As a direct consequence of her knowledge and assistance I decided there and then to sign up. Without being pressurised in the slightest. Very many thanks Liyarna.

Excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff: in comparison to British Gas I would give them 50 stars. If you’re frustrated with BG, look no further
