El Corte Inglés Reviews 

I bought a 16" Samsung laptop in El Corte Ingles Barcelona on 30 May 2025. It was not in stock, but the sales lady, Amanda, promised that it would be delivered to my home the next Tuesday 3 June 2025. Today, it is the 19th of June, but still no computer. The delivery company MRW does not respond to our calls. Customer support in Corte Ingles does respond and writes up a ticket, and even though I cancelled the order for non-delivery on the 6th and 9th of June, they continue to say that they can not reimburse me until the computer is returned to them. Well I suspect that the computer was lost or stolen from MRW. This is the worst experience I have ever had for a purchase.

This is an update. The real culprit was MRW delivery who apparently lost the shipment. As a last resort before asking Mastercard fraud department to reverse the charges, I went to the Barcelona store where I bought the computer. I first talked to a woman who said she could do nothing but then told my story about waiting three weeks for a delivery that was promised to be completed in 4 days to a serious looking male employee, who turned out to be very knowledgeable and friendly.
After he spent about 15 minutes talking to a "responsible" (some form of a manager), he made a reverse transaction, and one minute later I had my money reimbursed to my account.

Awful delivery management experience.
No simple online method like normal companies.
They call you multiple to confirm the delivery date and leave messages.
You call back and wait on hold for 10 mins.
They offer to call you back instead of waiting.
When they call you back they forget what you called about and you have to speak to automated system to get to the delivery management.
I gave up..
Just have an online system to update the delivery!!

I went to valor to get a coffee after getting some food with my friends with the shop next door. They had some tables to sit and they kicked us out because my 3 other friends did not get coffee. The cappuccino I got was watered down as well which made the whole experience even worse. Overall they were not very accommodating and it wasn't even rush hour. All the tables were empty so we did not appreciate the humiliation just because two cafes aren't associated with each other. Both cafes are inside El Corte Ingles by the supermarket.

I must have used a different El corte ingles to the majority of the reviewers on here, bought an Lg 13kg washing machine ( which is fantastic) ordered online, gave me a delivery date which they kept to, cheaper then any other shop, free fitting free removal of old washing machine, the delivery men were great, phoned to tell me when they were coming and ask for directions all in all fantastic from start to finish.

Never buy from them online! I purchased a pearl bracelet for a friend and it never arrived. I asked them multiple times and they just kept forwarding the same reply about a location of which the package was never sent to!
Never purchase online from them! Lost $30 :(

El Cortes Ingles, Alicante: I wanted to exchange Sony headphones, which I had briefly worn, for a different model because they were pressing on my ear. I was even prepared to pay the difference. They refused. Exchanges only if they're defect?! I wasn't even allowed to try them out when I bought them. Buying a pig in a poke is allowed, but exchanging them is not. They're flouting EU law.

This department store should be closed as they are overpriced and unable to meet the needs of the 2025 citizen (it is like they live in Franco’s time!).
The website is substandard on web browser.
I managed to find the product I needed, it says ready to collect on the same date as purchase (shown as 3/5/25).
I have now checked and it won’t be ready until 20/5/25!!
It is a gift I need to collect by tomorrow.
This does not happen in developed countries.

The worst shop ever, my order never came in one month, I dont even know If they will return my money.

AWFUL. Ordered an expensive jacket in January on-line. It didn’t arrive; someone else signed for it and they still have not given me a replacement or a refund! This is criminal behaviour. The worst service I have ever encountered.

The customer service is top-notch too—staff are always friendly and ready to help! ;-)
I noticing that some items can be a bit pricier compared to other stores, but honestly, the quality makes it worth it for me. Plus, the shopping experience is always enjoyable! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great products and service

The quality of electronic products sold are very low, I bought satellite receiver Metronic Touchbox HD4 online and I was very disappointed with the quality of the receiver, software and hardware, you would think that a famous store will sell low grade products like that.

I recently haved a fantastic experience with one of Spain's largest retail giants! ;)
They've got everything from the latest electronics to trendy fashion pieces, making it a one-stop shop for all your needs. What really stood out to me was how quick the delivery was in the city—my order arrived faster than I expected!

I've got to give this department store a solid 5 stars! Their electronics section is seriously impressive—so many options to choose from.

missed delivery and company couldn't give a dam. Zero customer service or attempt to resolve.

Terrible. More then a month ago. I have made an order... From 9 items, only two have arrived and the rest were cancelled.

Still waiting for the refund, and rhe return ticket.

Customer service terrible, keep gwtting automated emails and they keep asking me same questions like it is some kind of automated set up.

Anyhow, 256 euros still gone. Despite of numerous emails.

Beware of their promises. I ordered an electrical product as it was cheaper than elsewhere and the website estimated delivery in three days. I was charged a €6 Euro delivery fee (despite saying free shipping), but worse it now said that estimated delivery would be in a month! I wouldn’t have ordered if I knew I’d have to wait that long. Sure enough, check back on their website and the product still says get within 3 days. I complained to customer services. No apologies. Just told me I had to wait. I generally find customer service at these big chains poor in Spain (no refunds/exchanges for faulty goods), but this one is a new one on me and I feel constituted false advertising.

top department store… but I have many suggestion for them to improve… first take care of your website, it feels like browsing on a dial-up internet

El Corte Inglés is a fantastic department store offering a vast array of products. Their online shopping is great, though enhancing search functionality could make it even better!
