Quickly Resolved!!
Olga was able to assist me quickly with finding this issue with my issue. The Divi builder was not responsive but the cause was due to one of my other plugins. Once Olga disabled it, I was able to successfully edit my site.

Don Divi is a service provider that, despite acquiring the Divi Menus plugin, still hasn't managed to make it compatible with Divi 5. Divi Menus is the backbone of the Divi community and the best-selling plugin in the market. Despite repeatedly reporting the issue to them, I've received no satisfactory response.

Long-time customer, no goodwill on refund
I used Elegant Themes / Divi for several years.
Over time, my website became extremely slow and I eventually decided to stop using Divi completely and rebuild my website with my own custom code instead.
What disappointed me most was the billing experience. My annual renewal was charged automatically, and when I requested a refund only a few days after the 30-day refund window, Elegant Themes refused to offer any goodwill solution — not even a partial or pro-rated refund.
I understand that companies have refund policies, but after several years as a customer, I would have expected a little more flexibility in a case like this.
The subscription renewal has been cancelled, but the whole experience left me disappointed.

As websites grow larger and more complex, they require more resources to load quickly. This is true for any modern website, not just those built with Divi. If you have not yet, please contact our support team regarding this issue, and they'd be happy to review your website and provide solutions to increase website speed.
Regarding the refund request made outside of our 30-day policy, I'm afraid those requests must be made within the 30-day time limit. This is shown on our join page and in our terms, which were agreed upon during registration. We've made sure to cancel all future payments, and you won't be charged in the future.
Your understanding is greatly appreciated. We hope you'll give our support team a chance to assist you with page speed, and please don't hesitate to contact us anytime you need help or have further questions.

We are a german webdesign company. We use DIVI since day one and with DIVI5 it's such a great product! But most important the support is outstanding. Most of our issues get solved in a couple if hours. Great!

Divi is a platform I have been using for years. The support is amazing. They are always here to solve any issues I encounter. It's nice to know that there is a team I can rely on. I would say I could do without the Fin Chat: I'd rather the messaging go straight to a technical member but I guess it is needed for Divi to sort out issues.

Exceptionally cluttered
Exceptionally cluttered, difficult to navigate and not user friendly themes. I chose a Photographers template for my art website. Exceptionally challenging, full of features, but no basic image cropping tool! You can't place an image into a placeholder, you cant pre-view it, nor there are re-sizing options.
Phones have better, user friendlier image editing tools that Divi's Elegant themes templates. Wast of money, time and efforts.

We have reviewed the information you've provided and do not find any of your details (name or email address) in our records for having purchased a membership on our website in the past for access to our products or services.
We also noticed you mentioned using placeholder images and image editing, which is not something available in our product, Divi. What you describe is typically found in Plugins and Child Themes created by other companies to work with our Divi theme.

Superb customer care and assistance
I had rebranded my business- banner etc and the settings for the main menu and a few other things got mashed about! I spent about 3 days using ChatGPT, Perplexity and even AI on Elegant themes- non of them sorted it. About 20 hours getting no where!
I asked for 'live agent' and Ravindra quickly led me through the modules/rows etc with superb screenshots and arrows- everything I needed was done quick time.
5/5 for her- bottom line- humans still rule!
I can now get on with my main buisness- preparing for and teaching students classical and flamenco guitar!

The best Support on Planet Earth
The Divi Support Team is one of the greatest i've ever contacted. Once i have had a problem which was critical to me and the DIVI 4 System and the Team just created an updated version for everybody, 4 Hours after my report. They are really helpful and even the AI chatbot is very interested in your Problems without to much of takling you get contact to a human Supporter. DIVI 4 user for years now
Update to Divi's reply: It didn't work out well because of Divi support. I solved the problem myself through ChatGPT.
DIVI 4 user for years now. 3 days ago, all of a sudden, I couldn't use the visual builder anymore. Opened a support chat... AI bot answering with tons and tons of explanation on how to solve it. Sorry, I have NO time to read books when I just need a solution which, in the past, I usually got within half an hour. Now I'm waiting already 4 hours to receive an answer. Yes, I can buy VIP service, but that's the most horrible thing to introduce and to divide people into two groups: the rich ones and the poor ones. What a joke!

However, this is completely optional, and you can opt out right away by requesting to chat with one of our support agents.
From there, wait times for a response from our team can depend on how many other members are seeking support at the same time, as well as the level or complexity of the issue at hand. We can typically respond within an hour or so, but again, the wait time can increase or decrease depending on the level of traffic coming to our support team.
Divi VIP was created in mind to help those with niche requirements who need faster assistance (under a 30-minute response time), mainly for those who have created their own design/developer business based around Divi, who may have many high-stakes projects and clients to support. In some cases, investing in a Pro Service like Divi VIP could be a valuable asset for someone running a business.
However, many of our members find that Divi VIP is not necessary at all, and are more than happy with our standard support, which is exactly our goal. Our support team is comprised of an amazing set of colleagues who are all very knowledgeable and ready to help as soon as available. Again, many of our members are willing to wait an hour or so for a response, and find the wait times more than reasonable.
We've since been able to review the recent conversations you've had with our support team and found that we were able to help determine the cause of the error (which was due to web hosting limits) and provide a resolution. We also see you've contacted us regarding a new question, and we've sent you an answer within the same hour.

Divi 5 broke my website
As a Divi 4 user, I now have to migrate to Divi 5. They've completely overhauled the UI, so I can't find the basic settings I was used to. The migration tool is a disaster. I checked compatibility, everything was green and it still broke my website.
If they don't fix this, I'm done with Divi. With AI in the mix, there's no need for a tool like this, especially one that does such a poor job.

The Divi 5 Migrator System was built to provide the tools and guidelines necessary to ensure a smooth update to Divi 5. If your website broke after the migration tool showed all items as compatible (green), this is often due to server configuration issues rather than Divi itself.
Update:
In this case, our support team has helped to determine that this error was due to editing the 404.php file, which I'm afraid is not the correct workflow. Editing core theme files will be lost when the theme is updated. This is true for all WordPress themes and not just Divi. We've sent you detailed instructions for fixing this via both chat and email, and please keep us informed if that helps!
In short, this will involve 1) restoring the website from the backup, 2) creating the 404 layout in Theme Builder, and 3) testing migrating the website to Divi 5 in a staging site.
If you try those steps and still need help, please respond to that support conversation via email or send us a new chat when on our website, and we'll be more than happy to help you further with this! We definitely want to make sure this is resolved for you, and thank you for your open communication.
