Excellent from Fort William to Edinburgh. Scottish winter. But going going down, more than a bit chilly. TBH, rather cold. Back up, -- fkn freezing. No heat under the seats. Seriously cold from bus fr... See more

Very rude and abusive driver on the 08:13 E11 who made fun of my disability also your buses are niver on time will not use ember again citylink is way better then your company
Great Ember experience
I've done a handful of journeys with Ember recently and will certainly be doing more. Comfy seating, wifi and charging points are all big pluses, but the customer service is also great. I came back from the Lochaber area yesterday evening and the bus driver (Gemma) immediately advised me that the A82 was shut due to a serious accident but that we'd get to Fort William first and then get an update. She was really nice and helpful to all passengers, liaising with the Ember office to make arrangements for passengers to get to their destinations, then taking the long diversion, with further unavoidable roadwork delays, to get to Inverness. We arrived late (not Ember's fault at all), but safely - her driving was excellent and she stayed in good spirits, and kept us updated with progress.
NUGGIES
the driver made me put my nuggies in the bin, but got me home in 15 minutes and let me take my nuggies out of the bin (it was empty)

We travelled on a 09:55 Ember bus from Inverness to Oban and back on the 29th July 2026. The trip was made more enjoyable by two wonderful bus drivers, Kirsty and Bo, who were so helpful and pleasant to all passengers. They certainly are a credit to the company

Luke was a top man
Took the bus from Inverness to Glasgow on 25th July 2026. Luke, the driver, was a top man who made us all comfortable and drove a super smooth journey into Glasgow. Super clean bus, lovely temperature and not stuffy at all and great to have chargers and WiFi.
Incredible services
Incredible services
From the buses to the drivers to the cost. Not a bad thing to say!
Highly recommend as a cheap and reliable way to travel around
We used the Ember buses on a number of journeys around the Scottish Highlands. Very easy to book and amend bookings online. Really good service and the service from Fort William to Inverness is really handy for the airport. They even refunded a couple of trips that were delayed so we were able to book other trips. Highly recommend as a cheap and reliable way to travel around.
Early Hours to Edinburgh Airport
Myself and family used the Ember bus from Perth to Edinburgh Airport. Unfortunately there was a significant delay due to a police incident on the bus prior to it arriving at our pick up point. This was 100% out of their control however we were still refunded the entire cost despite not raising any complaint which was an amazing gesture. Aside from the delay the pick up and drop off to the airport was quick and seemless. Driver too was friendly and cheerful despite such drama in the early hours. The coach itself was clean and comfortable and I would definitely use this service again and recommend it to others!
Great service and especially Kevin
Great service and especially Kevin. On the E17 from Brechin to Dundee
Highly recommended!
We used this service during all our trip to Scotland (from Glasgow up to Scrabster and then back to Edinburgh). We have always had a great experience. Drivers were all very skilled, helpful and especially kind. A driver from Glasgow to Fort William has been extremely friendly. Also we had delay because of bad weather with the ferry from Orkney islands and the bus driver waited for us. In the end a special thanks to Laura Robinson, the operations manager, who was very gentle and ready to help. The ride is always smooth and nice! And until March there is an offer for travelling all around the highlands for only 2£ per person! Highly recommended service!
Kevin, the world’s best bus driver!
Arrived at Edinburgh airport just after midnight and were so lucky to ride with Kevin, the world’s best and sweetest bus driver, as the only passengers on board. Had a nice chat in spite of the early hour and were taken directly to the front doors of our hotel. Thanks a lot Kevin!

We booked for edinburgh airport
We booked for edinburgh airport. Easy to book, we could track bus online, bus arrived in time and was spotless. Excellent facilities on bus and the ride was smooth and stress free. Highly recommend.
Friendly driver
Friendly driver, and on time at Glasgow Airport.
Will definitely use Ember again, and recommend.
Poor mobile signal
We walked from Inverarnan to Tyndrum, had something to eat, and then wanted to get back to Beinglas Campsite by bus.
When we arrived at the bus stop, we discovered that Ember required us to scan a QR code to book tickets. Due to the extremely poor mobile signal in Tyndrum, we couldn't access the booking page. We also had no idea that the service had to be pre-booked until a a member of the public told us.
We walked back into the village to use the free Wi-Fi in a shop. Even then, the connection was so poor that the booking page barely worked. Eventually, it appeared to process our booking, but the loading circle just kept spinning. With only 10 minutes until the bus was due, we cancelled because we had no idea whether the booking had gone through. Confusingly, the number of available seats had dropped by two, so we assumed it might have worked and returned to the bus stop.
To our disbelief, the bus drove straight past without stopping.
We then had to walk back yet again to find enough signal to check whether a Citylink bus was available. Thankfully, Citylink didn't require pre-booking and simply stopped to pick us up, which was a huge relief after walking all day in the heat.
The whole experience with Ember was incredibly frustrating. Requiring an online booking at a rural bus stop with almost no mobile signal is simply not practical. I live in Scotland and was unaware if this system of booking .There should be a way to buy tickets on the bus or board when there are empty seats. The lack of clear information and the bus failing to stop turned what should have been a straightforward journey into an unnecessarily stressful experience.
We love the Ember Bus!
We love the new service from Aberdeen to Dundee. We've used it lots of times, and the drivers have always been very helpful and pleasant, especially Tom, who took us from Ballater to Dundee last week. Great sense of humour, he drove with great care and got us there on time. Thank you Ember, for enabling us to travel over Glenshee. It has opened up a whole new series of adventures for us all in Ballater!
Travelling with Ember is a comfortable experience.
Travelling with Ember is a comfortable, hassle free experience. Since the service included stopping at Bridge of Earn ( on the Dundee - Edinburgh route ) nearly 4 yrs ago it has opened up travel opportunities in Scotland, day or night, for everyone.
Phoned local taxi company (Livingston)…
Phoned local taxi company (Livingston) to get 6 people to Edinburgh airport which is about 5 miles. Quoted £48+ drop off each way. As I was travelling with 2 children and 2 OAPs I looked at the new route with Ember West Lothian to Edin Airport. Cost £7.50. First time using ember. Plenty of availability, the bus was clean, tidy, with either table or charging point and the driver was very polite and welcoming. Wont be using West Lothian taxis anymore to or from airport as plenty services overnight as well. Taxis have out priced themselves when you can get the ember so easily and a fraction of the price. £15 return or £100+. No brainer.
Brilliant
My driver over-shot my stop by 50m. I had changed my booking really late. He parked and walked back to get me. Amazing service. Didn't want someone to be waiting at a bus stop after midnight. So kind. The other passengers were also very understanding.
