Very sad and something all members…

Very sad and something all members should be aware off - If you are unwell and freeze your membership , New Energy Winchester will leave it six months before informing you and then send Debt Collectors after you .
No compassion for sickness and horrific communication from the club who simply dont reply to emails or actually demonstate they care . You have been warned !

Membership Cancellation and Payment…Membership Cancellation and Payment Dispute

In October 2024, I submitted an online request to freeze my membership. Despite this, in November 2024 a payment of £29.99 was incorrectly debited from my account. Subsequently, in the same month, I cancelled my direct debit and explicitly requested that my membership not be renewed.

Today 17/03/25, I was shocked to receive a payment request for £149.95.

Where do I start

Where do I start, I joined the gym a few days ago and one of the staff said that I can join tbe gym without paying the joining fee so I signed up for it. A few days later, I get a notification on my phone that the payment of the gym membership amount PLUS joining fee will be deducted from my bank account... I was fuming, not because of £20 for the joining fee but it was just wrong to pay for something I didn't had to. The next day, I went to the gym to speak with the gym manager ( quite arrogant if you ask me) to enquire why I have been charged a joining fee? Very bluntly, he said that there is a joining fee and I have to pay it. I then said that if that's so, then I'll really consider to cancel my membership and what he did? He cancelled my membership on the spot, then he came and said that he can take off £10 from the joining fee so I agreed with it, even though, we all know that is up to the gym manager if you pay the joining fee or not so anyway. I also told him that I am NHS worker and he needs to apply the blue light card discount, he said he will but guess what, they've taken the full amount from my account. Today, I went to the gym and I asked one of the staff to speak with the manager and get him to call me to discuss about the issue with the NHS discount and the joining fee. Did I get any phone call? NO! I am now wondering what the owner of the gym would think about how his gym is managed?

Don't get me wrong, the gym equipment is really good, the staff in general is great but the manager...not great at all... Too bad....

Poor Overall Experience

Poor Overall Experience

Firstly, despite being a new gym, the facilities were inadequate. The space is quite small, with insufficient machines and free weights available. This often results in waiting for equipment, even when the gym is not crowded.

Secondly, and more concerning, I moved houses during my membership to a location that made attending this gym impossible. However, there was another Energie Fitness gym closer to me. Despite my requests and appeals, they refused to transfer my membership to the new location. Their reasoning was that I was on a 12-month membership and could not make any changes until the term was completed or alternatively, they demanded proof that I had moved to a location more than 15 miles away from the original facility, which I found unreasonable given that the alternative gym was just a 15-minute walk from my new home so unless I upgraded my membership to include the new location as a "second gym" I would have to make an unreasonable commute to that gym.

Also you cannot cancel the membership online you can only cancel the membership with an email.

It seems to me that, given the subpar facilities, the gym's strategy is to lock members into long-term contracts rather than focus on providing a high-quality experience.

DIRTY AND SILLY ACTON BRANCH IN LONDON

Acton branch of Energie fitness in London are stilling my money!!!! They have dirty and clogged showers and pee in the toilets. I moved to different side of London and they don’t allow me to change the gym to the one that is closest to me. I had been asking them to transfer me without any result. I had to visit my previous gym that is far away from my place many times asking them to transfer me and nobody cares. I asked the branch close to me to do something and nothing happened.

Very silly and shameful company.

Very bad

Very bad. I was scammed. I asked for one month to try and found out that the contract was contrary to what we agreed upon. Now they are asking me for payments after my contract expires.

Better,Faster,stronger…

I’ve been going true classes already few weeks and found them high quality training as I’ve already experience in different fields of sport and can compliment Qais for his boxing classes and Nuri for best Gym Manager I’ve seen for a while also other guys all experienced pro athletes who will improve your health and fitness level to your needs. Very satisfied with Énergie Fitness Acton they are definitely doing a big improvement to our community.

In love with the gym

In love with the gym! Very well equipped and most training machines are gentle and easy to use. The staff are very lovely and always prompt to assist or support if you need 😍 I had a free training with PT Qays where he taught me how to use all machines as a gym beginner and gave me advice on how to have more motivation to be consistent. There is also amazing boxing class which is Deffo worth joining!! It is stress relieving and afterwards so relaxing!! Couldn’t be happier ☺️

Nice clean gym but poor customer service

The gym itself is nice, clean and has everything you need however its quite small so it can get busy. Just wished they had a hip abduction machine. Lost 2 stars as they over charged me one month and had to chase up a refund multiple times and still to this day never received the refund.
