I actually wouldn't put a star if there was that option.
Disgusting, appalling service from start to finish, never followed through on providing a follow up visit for my father or given details of a supposed app that my father could review details. I have called at various times, always engaged, website is offline and emails are returned with address unknown.
Companies House say they are still trading and trading standards say they haven't breached their contract so can't do anything, surely no way of reaching them is a breach of contract!! DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY !!
I agree with all the advice and…
I agree with all the advice and comments by other unfortunate contributors. Absolutely appalling company service and response to requests. We had additional panels fitted by them and eventually after some months we managed to get the existing system operating. Never received final system paperwork. maintenance agreement a waste of time. Unable to follow them up. Can’t give a negative star.

AVOID, SCAMMER, INCOMPETENT
What can I say I totally agree with everything already written.
My 85-year-old Dad had an Air Source heat pump installed by Lee and his team back in July 2021, the system was never tested due to the time of year (that’s what he said) the heating system has never worked. During the installation, the existing electrical connection for solar panels was damaged and Lee was not interested in coming out to sort this out. We had to call another company to sort this out. Eventually, after serious persistent Lee came out to commission the system and provide a certificate of completion, he pressed a couple of buttons on the wall panel and said that this was done. NOT!. We have persisted in calling, sending letters Live Chat, and emails, and nothing so I called and called and eventually spoke to the most aggressive appalling individual I have ever had to talk with – Lee!. Dad also paid £1500 for 10 years of Solar maintenance cleaning again nothing other than a receipt. He has paid over £8k for the initial installation and Lee has taken the Government Subsidiary Grant for £7K. Lee Wanted £450 to send out his surveyor when we said that the system did not work!
We got our own independent surveyor which cost £1200 and the report stated that the whole system needed ripping out and replacing which we have now done. This has cost an additional £8K.
We sent the paperwork to make a claim for the money through the small claims court and we had a reply from EHL saying that they are no longer trading!
Unfortunately, dad paid by cheque so we have no way of claiming anything back.
Avoid at all costs.

All reviews are true. My installation was a shambles and it was clear after the first day that my installation was not as specified, parts were changed or just not installed, and it was impossible to get responses to all the issues raised. Fortunately for me I had paid by Credit Card. When it became clear my issues were not going to be responded to (excuses on the phone when they answered, ranging from wife having a baby to being off sick or on holiday). I finally sent an email notifying them a month after the botched installation that I would put the payments into dispute if they did not respond. It occurred to me that I had paid them enough for the parts they had installed and there was no sight of the battery promised for the start of June, and they were walking away from the Job. As they did not respond to my last email, I put my payments into dispute with the credit card company.
I had also been told that the installation would be by MCS certified staff - this was originally on their website as well, but when I checked with MCS they said I was not the first to call them, and No they were not members, but they helpfully provided other MCS certified companies in my locality.
All in all, a nightmare experience - Not to be repeated.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I would give a zero rating if it were…
I would give a zero rating if it were possible. Avoid this company at all costs. I have paid almost all the money and do not have a working system. The panels were installed in mid-May. The connection to the panels made in mid-August. However, I cannot use the system as the power to the whole house trips every time the panels go on or offline. They have been told multiple times of this issue which I think is dangerous. Numerous promises of someone coming to complete the installation have been made and all have been broken. We have made plans to be at home each time and often at great inconvenience. It seems fake promises made to keep us quiet. Now messages just ignored. I am wondering if they are still trading as I cannot think of any other reason why they would not complete a job. We have paid a lot of money and have nothing working in return. Be very wary….

ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS AND THIEVES.Avoid at all costs!,I paid £1500 for a maintenance plan and was fobbed off by Lee Furneaux and his colleagues for weeks. This was his other company which is ENERGY HOME UK. I only managed to reclaim money because I had ignored the requests to pay by bank transfer. A rude and aggressive man avoid any dealings with Lee Furneaux...be warned!

I had a solar system installed by Energy Home
I had a solar system installed by energy home and in hindsight I would have and should have chosen a different company. I like the system that I was quoted and installed but after paying the deposit things started to go downhill almost immediately. They made no contact and I had to chase for everything. When they did turn up they would have most the parts missing or have different parts to those that they quoted and that I ordered and there was just total dis-organization. The first set of roofers they sent apparently did everything wrong according to their 2nd set of roofers. The 2nd set of roofers installed the panels badly resulting in three breaking, these were replaced by energy home but at that point I hadn't paid the balance so they were receptive despite still poor communication.
Once the system was installed I was told in writing that the paperwork including warranties, G98 record, MCS certificate and circuit diagram would all be with me within 14 days. Now 3 months on I have had to contact the equipment suppliers to correct faults that were present at install. The system has not had its G98 registration (which is a legal requirement) and energy home are not MCS registered as they assured me they would be and so cannot issue MCS certificates. This means that I can't get SEG payments which I value at a minimum of £400 per year from my system and were a significant costing factor when deciding to go for the solar system.
The result of all this is that I'm now having to do the G98 registration myself, I can't get SEG payments and I'm receiving legal advise to sue energy home as they won't answer their phones, texts, e-mails, or messenger channels I have been left with no option.
All of this is despite the fact that had they performed well I had approximately £100K worth of referrals that I could make to them that they were aware of.

Lied about MCS certification
Lied about MCS certification, took several months to do an install which is appalling poor standard and definitely not to MCS standard. MCS confirmed he is not and will not be certified. Currently starting a Section 75 claim for consequential loss to have it put right and being threatened that he will remove the install by force. AVOID. Lee Furneaux is a cowboy.
Avoid this company
We had similar problems with this company to other reviewers. Despite verbal
and written assurances they are not MCS Certified. I checked the MCS website.
Energy Home didn't do a G98 or G99 application, so we were illegally connected
to the Grid.
Without the correct paperwork not only will you not get SEG but your house insurance
may be invalidated, and you might not be able to sell your house as mortgage lenders
will want to see an MCS certificate.
On the installation date the team showed up but the equipment hadn't been delivered
so they went away. The system was delivered later and we had to help the driver
unload. The team came back the following day.
The supplied system was not as the quotation. It did work but kept tripping a
circuit breaker - wrong rating circuit breaker fitted by their electrician.
The pigeon proofing was bolted into solar panels therefore invalidating the warranty.
Fortunately we had only paid a deposit and refused to pay the balance until the
electrical problems were resolved and an MCS certificate provided.
We received intermittent emails and threatening texts from Lee, including his claim
that he could get the police to break into our garage so that he could remove the system
if we did not pay the balance owing.
We eventually agreed to have the whole system removed and part of the deposit refunded.
We agreed to this as we were desperate to be rid of Energy Home and their system.
Having read other reviews we think we should have held out for the whole deposit.
This was a blatant case of misselling.
If you have not done so already, make sure you contact Citizens Advice and get
them to involve Trading Standards.

Would not recommend
Incorrectly quoted and specified equipment. Lie about equipment being in stock and string you along for months. Impossible to get hold of for an update or to complain. Don't turn up to install as agreed.
Rogue traders
All reviews are true. Lee Furneaux was threatening. Electrical works were sub standard. No paperwork and not MCS certified as claimed. So we have a lovely FIT meter but no way of claiming payments. Story is too long winded but basically failed to keep promise after promise. By far the worst company I have had the misfortune of dealing with. They basically lied to us repeatedly. I’m sure they’ll be featured on Rogue traders in the very near future!
Avoid at all costs
Avoid this company, company claimed to be members of MCs,recc,he is,nappit at time of purchase. But after months and months of abuse from owner. They are unable to supply any sign off paperwork for there poorly installed system.
They will write a reply to try and make this look like a fake review or deny working for me.
Do your home work on this company.
Also they now hide under the name of similar companies.
Edit - after posting review I get threats of court action
Do not use this company!
Hello,
Like most of you here we have had nothing but trouble with Energy Home Ltd. We went ahead with a 26 panel, 10 kw system, the installation itself did not go badly at all. Once the system was installed the balance payment was due on Friday, unfortunately our son was rushed to the hospital that day and was kept over until next day, when my wife and I returned to our home, we had water gushing through our ceiling due to heavy rain. My wife contacted Lee also making a video to let him know the roofers or scaffolders damaged our roof tiles.
Lee replied saying we are making excuses not to make the balance payment and he was very rude he said he was sending his team on Monday to take out the system and he turned off our system remotely. As we did not want to risk losing the system, we decided to make the full payment, upon doing this he then turned the system back on.
We contacted a roofer to check our leak and when he came out he asked if I could come up onto the roof and see what has happened, we had over 20 clean broken tiles which was caused by the scaffolding which was laid out across our extension roof, it cost us £500 to have new tiles and some of the damaged ones repaired, this was not even the icing on the cake.
Shortly after the system was installed in June, we never got more than 35% power generation even on the hottest day, during the heatwave in August and it was still the same and something did not seem right. I went up into the attic and noticed that one of the inverters was not working and my wife contacted Lee on more than 5 occasions via phone and email and he had his staff taking in all the messages, we were promised he would call us back and when he did respond to one of the emails he promised he would send out Jay (the electrician that did the installation) that never happened.
I contact Lee on 3 occasions along with a few emails and was promised again he would return my call and nothing happened.
My wife and I contacted a few numbers we had from the team that did the installation last month and they told us they no longer worked for Lee and they didn’t want to say why but they insinuated Lee was not conducting good business ethics. One of them even said he was not impressed with Lee’s text message he sent us with threatening behavior and told him he can’t talk to customers like this.
I have contacted Sofar in China and informed them what has happened with our system and our experience with Energy Home Ltd and I have heard nothing back from them neither.
I researched on the internet and found a company called South Facing. Clive came out to visit us from this company and after checking the installation and setup, this is what we have been told:-
1. The system they sold us (according to the invoice we paid) should have had 1 x 6.0 inverter and 1 x 3.6 inverter, BUT there was no installation of the 6.0 inverter and they installed another 3.6 Inverter instead.
2. Out of the 26 panels installed on the roof, 8 are not working because they were not connected intentionally because we did not have the 6.0 Inverter, so technically we paid for 8 panels for nothing! To find out which panels are not working we will need to have scaffolding again (by the way we were infirmed the £1600 for scaffolding was a rip off, it should have been more like £600-£700) and it will be a long-winded operation to find out which ones are NOT working. So we would have to spend around £1000 to investigate and then find a solution to make the system work as it should be.
3. Like most of you waiting for the MCS certificate we were promised this and told there were major delays, but now we understand we were never going to get this anyway.
4. When you have issues with the system you have to contact a company in China, good luck to that, Lee will not come out to fix any issues you have.
We will strongly advise if you have any outstanding deposits yet with this company and installation has not been done yet, DO not proceed with this, take your money and delete that number it will be the best thing you can do. Everyone who has been wronged by this company needs to call Trading standards as we were advised they can only act if they have enough complaints.
Avoid at all costs
As with others, please do not use this company or any of the many other companies these directors seem to have setup. Check Companies House before you purchase and ensure neither of these two are involved in the business (Lee Michael Furneaux and Sin Yi Sara Ho). They have taken a significant sum as part payment towards a solution they have never provided and they became abusive when we put pressure on them to deliver the goods after failing to deliver on 4 separate agreed dates. After now having their specification checked by an independent 3rd-party renewable energy supplier we have been advised the products would not have been fit for purpose, which appears to be inline with other reviews.
AVOID ENERGY HOME UK!!!!
AVOID ENERGY HOME UK!!!!
I've ordered solar PV system from Energy Home UK back in May 2022 and went through the hell basically ... It turned out that they mislead customers about MCS certification so they have started work without G99 application / DNO approval. They can't even issue part P certificate for the electrical work they've already done in May! The work has been done very poorly, they broke the roof tile, broke the gutter (didn't use scaffolding) and left it leaking for months despite my requests to fix it. They have been messing me around for months with multiple bookings to carry on with the job only then for me to find out that no one arrived! They hardly ever reply to emails or phone requests. The system is not working correctly (EPS error trips the fuses) I had the work inspected by an independent MCS approved contractor who gave me even bigger list of issues that need to be corrected if I ever want to dream about having the system certified and so that we can get some grid feed-in payments. Lee F is very rude, threatens people online, on the phone, etc. Never admitted any responsibility for what his company has done!!! He just tries to bully people. I had to get some legal help who advised to terminate the contract with Energy Home and to pay trusted contractor to put things right. Again, AVOID and read other people's comments online who went through similar issues!
Substandard work, Lies and Threats
We had part of install in April and then after many missed dates and delays the second part of the panels were installed around late May/June. By this stage there was damage to our roof tiles that was suppose to be repaired and then wasn’t, rubbish was suppose to be collected and then wasn’t, also substandard work with electrical wiring left in roof gutters where water will collect, batteries not installed correctly, panelling that had started to come away from the wall already due to inadequate screws, the list goes on.
The MD Lee Furneaux didnt respond to emails or requests for complaints procedures and then sent us invoice with inflated late payments and interest when the job hadn’t been completed. When we refused to pay until the job was done we got amateurish, threatening emails. We did some investigation and we found out that he lied about his certifications to us and didn’t request a G99 pre approval making the installation illegal. We have had to seek legal advice and we have to rectify the poor quality work with a suitably qualified electrician.
There is currently a fast growing Facebook group of Energy Home UK Users in which it is clear that his lies and threats were not confined to us alone. Unfortunately it’s would appear that the EH shoddy work that we are having to deal with seems to be a ubiquitous experience for their clients. Avoid like the plague!
Avoid this company!!!
Avoid this company!!!
There are not good. All of the comments here applied for me as well.
They are a bunch of cowboys with no consideration for their customers at all.
The left a badly installed system and no paperwork despite my daily calls and emails.
Disgraceful.
My house electricity keeps tripping off every morning at sunrise and they did not even tried to fix it. They basically ignored me.
II’ll need to contract another company (and spent more money) for the certification and finalisation of the installation.
