Cancelling one day before, charging for nothing
They just cancelled my event one day before, where I was already in the town for it, they stated they will do a refund, but somehow they still charged me roughly 20euros for "their fee", whatever it means.
Their emails are confusing, they cancel an event, and I need to ask my money back, and for some reason I get back 20 euros less.
Well, guess what portal I will NEVER use again for booking?
The most unreliable and unfair EVENTIM.
If you want a smooth experience and a guarantee for your money, you should spend it somewhere else, not here.
Just in addition: They don't even answer for your request, just with template emails, stating total strange answers that are 100% not valid for your question.

What a scam
What a scam - STAY AWAY! I'm not sure of the relationship between Ticket Sales and Enentim, both names are on the tickets. I'm leaving reviews for both companies.
If I could give these people negative numbers, I would give them a negative 5! Tickets for the event were $45 - Eventim upped the price to $61, that was acceptable based on the convenience of getting them online. When I received the email confirming the purchase, it was $233. I contacted them assuming it had to be a mistake. When I spoke with their customer service agent, I was told that the "market price" of the tickets had increased, and that because there were so few tickets available, they had the legal right to charge the additional fee. I called the venue directly and was told that there were "lots of tickets still available." This was a few hours prior to the start of the show.
This is a complete SCAM! And there appears to be no recourse Shame on you Ticket Sales!.
Prohibiting bags
Idk who exactly is responsible for prohibiting semi big bags in the venue and then not only that but they request 5 bucks to store them as well when it should have been free cuz it was nowhere mentioned that bags over certain dimensions aren't allowed. Outrageous
Available options, right to cancel and refund
I made 2 rezervations as a gift and paid for them with the intention to attend. Concert is in 4 months and there are over 75% still available. Then, an hour later, found out that the concert is in Easter day and my partner cannot attend due to personal problems, so I wanted to cancel but had the unpleasant surprise of not been able to do so. There is no option to cancel and therefore to refund for a rezervation.
Anywhere people can cancel any other order on other situations but not 2 tickets purchased from Eventim. That is really unpleasant and I would never recommend or use their services in the future.

Only partial refund after concert cancellation.
Beth Hart's concert was postponed for a year and you could get your money back. I requested a refund.
The total costs were the tickets, administration fees and shipping costs.
At first, I only got a refund for part of the tickets, not the rest.
After complaining, I got a full refund for the tickets, but not the rest.
When the organisation (or artist) cancels a concert, they should reimburse all costs, not the concertgoer. Unacceptable, EvenTim!!!

Unethical business practices
We recently booked tickets for an event, which we were then advised (by Eventim.de) had been cancelled. The refund we received was less than we had paid. On enquiring why, we were advised it was because the booking fee was not to be refunded. Given that we didn’t choose to cancel our tickets, but were told by Eventim.de that the event has been cancelled, I don’t see that this was our cost to bear. I explained that I felt they should seek reimbursement of their cost outlays from whoever was responsible for the cancellation (for example, the artist or the venue). I eventually (and rather begrudgingly) received a partial refund of some of the booking fee, although not all. This seems highly unethical and if this is standard practice (multiplied by how often this scenario must occur) does not seem like an ethical business model. If you have a choice when booking tickets, I would recommend trying to find an alternative provider.

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM is that tickets are not sent online in this digital age. You could save people the unnecessary expense of postage by sending tickets to their email address via QR code or digital number. But you don't. Why?
As residents of European Union member states, why should we have to find a German address to provide a postal address? Yes, you can also send them to France, but this time the cost increases approximately sevenfold. Why?
Your website does not state whether it is a problem if the name on the postal address does not match the name of the person using the ticket. This caused me serious hesitation.
Therefore,

Extremely disappointing customer service and complete lack of accountability
I had a very frustrating experience with EVENTIM. After an event I booked tickets for was rescheduled to an earlier time, attending became impossible for me due to family and childcare obligations. This situation was caused by the rescheduling — not by me.
I contacted EVENTIM multiple times, explained my situation clearly and in detail, and asked for a solution or at least a clear answer. What I received instead were generic copy-paste responses, links to help pages, and eventually no response at all. My follow-up messages were simply ignored until the event had already taken place, making any resolution impossible.
What disappointed me the most was not even the lack of a refund, but the way I was treated as a customer: no individual consideration, no ownership of the issue, and no basic communication. Being ignored entirely is unacceptable for a company that handles paid bookings.
Based on this experience, I will strongly advise friends, family, and colleagues to think twice before booking tickets through EVENTIM. If something goes wrong, do not expect real support.
