Don't waste your money.

I've been a member here for over 12 years, since it was DW. Since Everlast took over, it has declined significantly. Today I counted 9 pieces of equipment that were broken and could not be used. Other equipment has ripped seats, is badly maintained or as old as the arc. There has not been a new piece of equipment bought in the entire time I have been a member here. The men's changing rooms are disgraceful, dirty, unhygienic and they've had a broken dryer for over 6 months. All this for £34 a month. I'd advise anybody to avoid this place like the plauge. The staff used to be knowledable, friendly and helpful, now it's run by kids on their phones.

The refurb is great, (some) PTs are a problem

The refurb is great but unfortunately some of the PTs are still more of a hindrance than a help. There is a handful of them (those who spend their time shouting at each other across the gym) who seem to think they own the place and expect members to move off equipment because they want to use it. This used to be a really friendly gym but over the last 2-3 years there has been an influx of PTs who seem to want to create a clique and it really is spoiling the place. I feel sorry for the couple of PTs who are actually considerate to the members and work quietly with their clients rather than spending their time drawing attention to themselves - get rid of the others and find more like these and we'll have a much happier gym space.

Everlast Southport, Tulketh Street.

The recent refurbishment has massively improved this gym. I’d been a few times before it had been done and I never got the feeling of wanting to train here. Gave it another go afterwards and I’m glad I did! The equipment is excellent (although a few more pieces would never hurt), the atmosphere and music are really good, I often don’t wear headphones because the place just gets me in the mood, especially the low level lighting, I love that. So far as well, I’ve never seen it completely rammed, maybe I’ve just been lucky. The staff as well, all really friendly and super helpful. The reason I’ve only given 4*’s and not 5 is simply because it lacks a couple of bits of extra equipment and there’s no heat rooms. Not sure much can be done about that now but obviously a sauna, steam room, plunge pool etc would make this place more competitive with other gyms. I can’t complain too much though, my membership is £27 a month with a blue light discount which also gets you 10% off merchandise and refreshments. Good that it has a snack bar/coffee shop and free parking too is a bonus. Overall, very good, I’ve been a happy member for almost a year now.

Still going back forth with the manger

Still going back forth with the manger, having spoken to the customer service team for months. They signed me up to the WRONG contract, and now won’t let me out of it. I suffered a second trimester miscarriage while a member and therefore my head wasn’t in the right place to be checking emails to make sure the staff had done their job. After some back and forth they have allowed my friend out of her contact without any further payment but have refused me. Even though we both had a tour together and signed up together.

This gym is great - friendly & chill 😎

Love this gym. Have a lovely long sesh of stretches & using machines on a Sunday. Everyone's chill. Get a quick cool-down in the pool - lots of kids Sunday but still room for me to do lengths. Looking forward to my pre-work early morning work-outs this week. Special mention to the ever-diligent Shanita, getting the shower-grills up & giving them a proper scrub! She's a blooming hero for all the cleaning she does - I love this gym, it's MY gym, because the staff & facilities work well.

Awful

Chiswick gym - Steam room closed since November, jacuzzi closed since I joined at the beginning of October, poor hygiene, no paper on gym to clean machinery, 2 toilet cubicles out of 4 in ladies toilets out of order, 3 rowing machines out of 4 broken, absolutely freezing gym, awful management -asked to suspend membership while refurbishment was going on and they still charged me, I complained and was directed to the same manager who cannot refund me. Complained about horrific freezing temperature in gym and was told it had been fixed when it hasn't... Inhospitable awful place. The latest is they blocked the road to car park and the alternative is so full of deep pot holes that any vehicle owner will end with a massive bill for a broken suspension. Awful, beyond awful.

Ewell gym no longer inclusive after refurbishment

I have been a member a Ewell Surrey for nearly 10 years. Being disabled and on crutches is was ideal for me. Friendly helpful staff and nice members.
It was closed for refurbishment in November and re-opened on December 22nd. I was really looking forward to
This. The facility had been promised a refurb for years.
I went back to the gym on thd 29th December . I was totally deflated and upset. The equipment was so close together it was unsafe for me to use. If people are using the fixed plate machines I cannot get through the space with my crutches. I actually fell over. The treadmills are so close together. If I can’t use the two end treadmills I can’t get on as nowhere to put my crutches. The benches and bars are so close together. You can’t use if someone was putting weights on a bar on next chest press. This is clearly dangerous.
This is clearly a health and safety issue.
I can only assume no consideration was given to disabled customers, or people with mobility problems When this refurb was planned
I spoke to the reception staff who wrote on my membership facilities issues.
I was advised to send email to manager Raising my issues. This was sent on 31st December. Still waiting response. I also tried to write on social media. Facebook and Instagram. I Was denied. So anything negative everlast won’t allow on their social media. I did get a response on instagram saying marketing deal
With social media and this can’t go on. They will pass my message internally to health and Safety. Very convenient.
I also raised a complaint. Never had a response
Under the disability equity act 2010 the Ewell gym is. Now not inclusive.
I have now got the equity commission involved in to looking into this.
Some Everlast gyms are certainly not inclusive. How can a gym be refurbished and then not inclusive. They obviously don’t want disabled customers anymore or people with mobility problems.
If you are disabled or have mobility problems some Everlast gyms don’t want us.
Just to be clear this is an Everlast head office issue not the Ewell gym Facility. The management at everlast head office would have approved this refurbishment.

EVERLAST CHISWICK DIRTY DIRTY

As well as being freezing cold recently this place is absolutely filthy. No cleaning product for the machines, no cleaners and staff who really couldn't care how dirty anything is. No lines of communication between Everlasting and members. Having a refurb in January - cancelling pilates, insanity, yoga and spin. Sacking all the instructors apparently! The loyal 10 year cafe owner has been kicked out.Painting it black!!! After 12 years like so many others I'm leaving and not going back. BTW ask for your original contract when they say you owe them 3 months....just saying like

I've been a memeber for about 15 years

I've been a memeber for about 15 years, it's changed it's name in that time and I don;t think any ataff are still there. The main draw for me is that it's right by my house so easy to fit into my routine. I'm flexible enough to go when most people are it work so it's always pretty quiet. It's got everything I need, kettlebells, yoga mats, treadmill, free weights. The staff are nice enough. Machines do break, but there are always plenty for me to use, and I have seen things get repaired and upgraded. It does take time. They maintain the steam room better now (it was out for months and months a couple years ago, now it's reliable). It's not a luxury gym but then it's about £1 a day for a membership. I go every day, sometimes I swim sometimes I hit the gym. I get a lot of value from it and I'm sure it's the reason why I'm as healthy as I am. For me, it's really good.

Absolutely shocking and unprofessional…

Absolutely shocking and unprofessional experience.
Today I tried over 20 times to call Lashurit Centre in Northfield to ask about swimming lessons for my child. Most of the time my calls were actively rejected. On the two occasions they actually answered, as soon as I started asking a question, they hung up the phone on me.
No explanation. No apology. Just hanging up on a potential customer.
I also sent an email and, unsurprisingly, received no response at all.
This is not how a professional business behaves. If you cannot answer basic enquiries or treat people with basic respect, you should seriously reconsider working with the public. Parents trust swimming centres with their children’s safety — and this level of communication is completely unacceptable.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before dealing with a centre that ignores, rejects, and disconnects calls instead of helping customers.

Utter disdain for members and staff

I have been a member at Everlast+ Chiswick (formerly Roko) for over 5 years. Roko was great but since Everlast took over the gym has been allowed to slowly decay. They removed the spin dryer in May and have not replaced it, half the loos are out of order, and the jacuzzi has been shut for weeks. They have been supposed to be closing to refurbish it for months, but nothing has happened. Now they are auctioning off all the gym equipment which looks likely to go in the first week of January and yet they still haven't told either staff or members what's happening. Staff were forced to reapply for their jobs on worse T&C after the takeover. They have never asked members what we value or what changes we like to see.

Absolutely brilliant spin class with…

Absolutely brilliant spin class with Jodie! From start to finish, the energy is high and the class is so well structured. The playlist is always spot on, the motivation never drops, and Jodie really knows how to push you while still making it enjoyable for all abilities. You leave feeling worked hard, motivated, and buzzing. One of the best spin classes I’ve done! highly recommend! 🚴‍♀️🔥

Cycle at Everlast Leigh

Jodie and Michelle’s cycle classes are brilliant! The main reason I come to the gym. Great music is played, there’s a good mixture of sprints and resistance work to mix up the workout, and there’s always a good atmosphere.

Both instructors take the time to make sure any new starters know how to properly work the bike and ensure their posture is correct to avoid any injuries.

Great class for beginners or advanced.

Shout out toe Jodie!…

I’m a regular at weekly spin classes and mainly because Jodie really pushes you and gets the most out of you in the sessions. She makes them fun and challenging and worth going to! I feel like her classes are working and helping me improve my fitness.
