User for 15 years but now far too expensive for a casual user. Actively looking for cheaper alternative.

One place to store all of my random notes, whether that is playlists, procedures, to dos or writings. This has helped me out in a pinch since I can access it wherever I need.

They added hundreds of absolutely useless new features, I guess with the sole reason to try justify somehow the 3x increase in subscription cost in the past 2-3 years.
Evernote used to be a brilliant app. Not anymore.

I like Evernote and use it a lot. I have two requests:
1. Can you make all notes confidential, ie immune to hacking by third parties?
2. Can you allow me to lock/unlock notes so that I do not amend them by accident?

Because, I store all of my records in there without any issues but sometimes, saving anything on any one device will take time to come up on another device and the other important thing, even more than saving is that, I can find the stuff, what I need, without much hassle.

Also, many times, even though, you guys have improved, but Evernote is still slow.

I have used Evernote for 16 years. It is core to my organization, planning, and tracking. I am much more organized because of it. There was a rough period with the software performance in the past, but I stuck with it because it was so valuable and integral to organizing and storing my life. The performance and capabilities have dramatically improved and I am a grateful and enthusiastic user.

Do not use this company! They over charged me $20,000 and will not return my money. They do not have a customer service phone number so you’re stuck trying to reach someone via email or AI. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to get my money back without having to go through a “I did not approve this charge” process through my bank. It’s criminal and unethical. Save yourself the hassle and choose another company with your business.

Way too expensive.
It's constantly updating with AI features I don't want.
The free version has such a low storage limit that it's virtually useless.
I have renewed my subscription while I research a better alternative.
If you aren't using it, don't sign up.

I've been using Evernote for over 10 years, I'm used to it, but I know it could be better! But it seems to be getting more and more expensive!?

I wish Evernote could help me summarize information like Notebook LLM, but I don't want it to be cluttered with a bunch of conversations like Notebook LLM...! It should just be a notebook, but one that makes it easy for me to find and summarize information... that's enough for me!?

Sneaky price increases, complicated legacy software that never works quite right. Why am I still using evernote? Its design parallels the way I think so it's a useful tool. But, like other software of its generation, it is dated and being milked. I'm a hostage here tho ....but I'm sure you can do better

Every new update seems to make this product worse. The AI incorporation is useless and makes the searches slower and less accurate. Very often I will conduct a search and something completely different will appear in the results. It is slow and cumbersome and needs a thorough overhaul.

This is absolutely one of my favorite apps of all time. I've been using it for approximately 15 years. I keep all of my valuable documents here, and I'm also really loving the voice-to-text, transcribe, and summarize feature that they have. It's really helpful during daily conversations.

I am a journaler. I do a personal daily journal, but also journal projects and work assignments. Evernote has given me a place to put ideas as they occur in the middle of the night, in the middle of my day when i am not working on that project specifically and not lose track of them. It keeps me organized as nothing can, not even AI. If I can reach my phone or my computer, I have it. I cannot live without Evernote. I have used it for over 15 years, perhaps 20 and will tell you I will be on it til the day I leave this earth.

I would like to see AI work on the phone app, however the phone app works perfectly! Just need to add the AI here

My biggest complaint, really the only one, was the tight limit on the size of each individual note. I have 2 accounts with Evernote with one being more image related including videos. The limit often forced me to break a video into multiple videos of different sizes just to comply - both unnecessary and time consuming. I had no problem (or rarely) with the monthly restriction. Then recently, without any notice on the subject that I saw, the note limit was substantially increased...perfect! I also like the fact that management keeps actively trying to improve the product. While the changes don't always impact me it's the thought that counts!

I finally learned to use a lot of the features. Voice dictation really helps.

Evernote covers all kinds of daily activities with beautifully designed functions.

After years of using Evernote strictly for personal use--like keeping track of my recipes--I am being priced out. I do not want or use the AI tools. Evernote has become increasingly more difficult to use and I just don't need it. But as a very long time subscriber I feel trapped with the new exorbitant pricing system.
As soon as I can figure out a replacement--I am gone.
