Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 916 reviews, most reviewers were somewhat happy with their experience overall. Many customers find the application to be a unique and wonderful tool for organizing their notes, documents, and personal information, appreciating its ability to sync across multiple devices and its reliable storage. They often highlight its usefulness for various tasks, from work to personal organization, and value its consistent performance and continuous improvements. Reviewers also praise the app's flexibility and personalization options, which allow them to tailor it to their individual needs and thought processes. However, some people were dissatisfied with the pricing, noting that it has become too expensive with frequent increases, especially compared to other services. Many also express concerns about the app's increasing complexity and the introduction of too many features, which they feel make the application less usable and lead to performance issues like slow loading times and bugs. Additionally, some users report problems with the web clipper and the search function, as well as frequent, intrusive updates.

"I have been using this program for…15 years

"I have been using this program for more than 15 years, but honestly I’m shocked by the level of greed you have turned to. Also, using development and artificial intelligence as an excuse is disappointing. Thankfully, there are many alternatives in the market that respect customers and take people’s economic situations into consideration."

Very Good Tool

It's an incredibly convenient and user-friendly tool that has helped me record a lot of information and new knowledge. It's also a great partner in my study of Traditional Chinese Medicine. I will be a long-term supporter of it.

A counter-productivity software

A counter-productivity software that doubles its prices every few years to fund “upgrades” that only hinder your note-taking. There’s always something floating or popping up, so you can’t read what you’re writing or click a link. When you finally manage to click it, the link doesn’t open. Adding another popup and rising prices again will SURELY help. And btw, the notes cannot be downloaded in bulk, so once you are in, you are stuck with this self-indulgent money pump.

A broken relationship :(

I've been using Evernote for 12 years, and this year I noticed a price increase of almost 5x over a price that was already increased last year. I like Evernote, but I think it has lost its focus and identity. The user experience isn't the best, it lacks modern note-taking features, and its major AI bet isn't compelling to me (as an MCP server would do just fine instead of a closed and very expensive AI implementation). I would overlook all of that if the subscription price hadn't skyrocketed, just because it stores 12 years of my notes. However, I won't stay loyal to a company that feels comfortable hurting its long-term users like Evernote is doing, so I've decided to move away.

Search is terrible

The search function on this application is terrible. For example. I have a note titled "Jax" when I search for "Jax" it does not return anything. This is a common, repeated problem.

Hard to justify continued use. 🤷‍♂️

I have used Evernote for a long time, and it was central to my note-taking and knowledge management system. However, I have stopped using as much as I should because I am looking for a replacement. The cost is too high, and some added features I don't find useful. AI should be great, but I find it subpar, so don't use it.

They ruined it

They ruined it. It was a cool easy to use note app that could span different platforms. They added too many features - its cluttered. They add meaningless features constantly. It's a pain.

Evernote Keeps Getting Better

I really appreciate the direction this app is heading. The updates are now regular and released on a weekly basis, which makes it clear that the company truly cares about the product and wants to improve it with every release.

While the app isn't perfect (no app is) and there is still room for improvement, I am overall very satisfied. I have been using Evernote actively since 2020. I love it for its simplicity and constant evolution, and I look forward to seeing even more updates in the future.
